I LOVE THIS SALON!! The staff upfront is always warm pleasant and welcoming. They of course have an area where you can help yourself to beer, wine, hard seltzer, tea, coffee, water, or a soda. They also have a lot fun and beautifully jewelry for sale. KEITH IS THE CURLY HAIR JESUS OF HAIRDRESSERS. I've lost count of how many years I've been seeing him but; I trust him to cut my hair with a blindfold. He's incredibly intuitive and really knows his stuff. He's really good at listening to you and giving you feedback. I'm incredibly grateful to have my curly locks. That said, They wouldn't be nearly the same without him. I am SOLD. After moving to Austin from Los Angeles I was nervous about finding a place that was on par with the salons back home, and oh my goodness Bella Salon is far better than I could have even dreamed! The staff, the decor, the space itself, it's honestly just a beautiful and amazing salon all around - and the prices are SO good! I did a color/trim, nails, AND a spray tan and I'm seriously never going anywhere else. I was amazed at how kind every single person who works there was - I feel like there is an almost hostile vibe at a lot of salons and was blown away by how happy and NICE the staff is! Sam did my hair and she is KILLER, the color is rich and hasn't washed out at all. Highly recommend the keratin treatment, my hair is highly processed and for the first time in years it's shiny and soft again. Maddie Joe did my nails and that girl has got TALENT! We did a negative space design with a pink iridescent accent and I have been getting a ton of compliments on them, highly recommend her. I never know what to do with my nails and she came up with the concept and was super fast, which I appreciate big time. I also had a spray tan done with Jessica, she was so thorough and made sure to go over some spots multiple times. I've had spray tans where it looked great that day but faded after the first shower, and this tan lasted a good five days before I started to notice any fade. The owner, Sarah, is the CUTEST, such a sweetheart, so it's easy to see why the staff she brings on is so happy. I really am impossibly stoked on finding Bella Salon, dying to try out their makeup artists next, and have heard great things about the girl who does microblading there. Yay Austin! read more

I was in Austin for a wedding and needed a haircut but was not familiar with any salons in the city. I found Bella Salon was close to my hotel and made an appointment . I was so happy with this Salon from the way I was greeted to the attention I received by my Hairdresser Kristen. She was so perfect for my white hair, taking time to determine exactly what kind of cut I wanted. I was so pleased with my cut and with the way she made me feel and look. I went to this salon about 2 years ago and it was the worst experience ever. The atmosphere is nice and so are the people but the lady that bleached my roots literally had no idea as to what she was doing. I knew more than her and had to explain to her what to do along with her co workers. Towards the end of my appointment after she toned it my roots were literally Orange and my ends were super platinum which I had done myself previously at home. I told her that my roots looked orange and she said " oh no it's a golden blond" and in my head the whole time she was blow drying I was just thinking " is she seriously going to let me walk out of here with orange roots and super light ends?!" Needless to say I was very upset as I was charged about $200 and keep in mind that I'm a guy with short hair. After my appointment I headed to Sally's and bought some L'Oréal bleach and wella toner and fixed it myself. All I have to say is when it comes to dying your hair you're honestly better off watching videos and studying up on it and performing it yourself. Will never trust someone with a bleach and tone and will stick to doing it myself when I go blond again. read more

They put too much top coating and cover my skin and nail.. so it peel off within 20 minutes .. i wouldnt recomended for 55$ and i gave 20$ tip for these ... disappointed .. She cut and colored my hair exactly how I wanted! It took about 5 hours because of my hair length and thickness... she takes her time and triple checks everything she does. This review is so long overdue! I owe them a few paragraphs and then some! I was recommended to Bella Salon by a coworker who had nothing but great things to say about her stylist and the salon. A natural very dark brunette, I had recently decided to go blonde. Unfortunately, I trusted the wrong salon and stylist to get me through this process. I gave that salon and stylist so much of my time and money as they tried to get my locks from black to blonde...only to have a finished product that was the equivalent of an orange mop. Enter Adrienne at Bella Salon. She was so kind and gentle with me as she knew that I was already fragile from my previous experience. She walked me through her plan and managed my expectations from the very beginning. We were both on the same page regarding getting my locks to blonde, but first we needed to do lots of color correction. Adrienne was truly the answer to my prayers. Not only did she correct the horrors from the previous stylist, but she got me pretty close to my desired shade of blonde! We were both actually quite surprised with the outcome as my orange mop looked pretty hopeless. Adrienne was my stylist for almost two years till she moved out of state. Throughout those two years I fell in love with the Bella Salon staff, just as much as I had with Adrienne! She recommended me to a couple of stylists that could take over in her absence - one of those being Keith P. Keith took just as good care of me and has never disappointed. It's clear that the management at Bella take hiring seriously as every stylist I've encountered is friendly, helpful, and leaves their clients very satisfied. I made an appointment for an eyebrow waxing at 10:30 AM. I called to let them know I was running 4 minutes late and they told me they were going to have to push my appointment time because I was going to throw off the next appointments. 4 minutes?! The later time wouldn't work for me due to plans I had made, and so I was charged a $12.50 cancellation fee. And they wouldn't consider waiving the fee. I understand there are certain policies in place, I understand they have a business to run, but this lack of flexibility was something I have never experienced before. And the manager on duty called me "hun" on the phone, which came across very demeaning. I do appreciate the manager making an attempt to kindly explain the policies. And the one time I did get my brows waxed there they did a good job. But the lack of flexibility or consideration made it clear that this isn't a place where I want to continue doing business. My recommendation: 1. Build in a 5 minute grace period between appointments. 2. Explain at every step of the way (time of appointment made, time of phone reminder, etc.) that if you are more than 5 minutes late you won't be accommodated at your set appointment time. What I experienced today is not how to win over favor, trust, and loyalty from customers. read more

I scheduled a haircut a week in advance, drive an hour, and then the receptionist told me they did not take Yelp appointments. When I got my phone out and showed the receptionist my appointment on the Yelp app, she quickly changed her story and said they had made a mistake. She made no attempt to work me in with another stylist, but she did tell me that they would comp me a cut the next time I came in. I am hoping they will read this and honor their word. At the tender age of 48, I finally found the right haircut for my curls. In the past, haircuts would take less than 15 minutes with meh results so I would get it cut once a year. Keith is a curl master, plain and simple. He listens to you first and asks what you're looking for. Long story short, it takes 90 glorious minutes to get my curls PERFECT. Y'all my hair is really long/wavy, and it is also very thick. She got me in and out pretty quickly and was very sweet the entire time. The salon itself is cute and in a great location.
