I first heard of Bella pizza when it was brought over to my job for a special day they were having and I found the pizza to be very good. I was told the place was located on Fordham Road and then I remembered I would see it when I would be passing by in the area.This time because I was in the area I decided to pick up a pie rather then bringing home McDonald's for dinner. Bella's is quite small but just big enough for a few people to dine for a quick bite to eat. They have a barstool counter top to eat at. The guy who took my order, was super sweet and answered everything I wanted to know about what size pies they had, the prices of the pies, if they had pie specials etc. My pizza pie was a large and came to about $21. I would say average prices. I also was surprise to see that they had zeppoles. Not your average zeppoles, but oreo zeppoles. Now I haven't had some good zeppoles since I lived in Brooklyn and to me they just don't make them in the Bronx like they do in Brooklyn, or I can't ever find them in the Bronx like I can in Brooklyn. This zeppole was different, but it was still crunchy and sweet like the zeppoles I would have in Brooklyn, and the oreo inside was throughout the whole zeppole, made it even better. It was like eating a deep fried oreo, without all the fried greasy taste. When I got home, I found out the pizza was also delicious. So good I forgot to take a picture because my family and I devoured the pizza. I think I will definitely make another visit and my Bronx residents should too.

Still order from here often. The pizza is always good and fresh. For some reason ordering online with grubhub doesnt allow you to customize or add additional toppings to your pizza. You can also order garlic knots, bread pieces and garlic bread. BUT on Uber eats you can add any topping to your pizza but cant order some damn garlic knots because it's not on the menu there. Instead they have the breads and garlic bread. Recently I ordered zeppoles. It was good and had a TON OF POWDERED sugar in the bag. Lol. I'll continue to order from here. I just hope the online ordering issue is corrected.

Customer service here is good. The decor for a pizza spot in the Bronx is different. The pizza was was good I enjoyed both slices, nice sauce nice cheese. It's a go to pizza spot. I'm not the biggest fan and thin crust I'm a deep dish man myself. But i gotta say I enjoyed it, the crust was delicious think but not to thin as to turn the slice limp and soggy. I have and would try it again I do like that they have pizza varieties that you wouldn't normally find. It's good when you can differentiate yourself from just the norm.

I just have to make an addition to my review since last posting. Bella continues to meet and exceed my expectations with their quality and professionalism. We have become regular patrons using their delivery service and all of the couriers that come to our house are respectful and prompt. Happy customers at 61 ;) My main reason though for this review is the appreciation for the order I put in on Valentine's Day for my boys. I requested a heart pepperoni pie and Hollywood and his team made it happen in a delicious way. Truly made the kids faces light up, it just might've become a Vday tradition. Thank you!!

Cheese pizza with button smh unbelievable

*Beware*** I never really had a great experience at this location but nothing too extreme to where I had to write a review until now. I order a plain cheese slice and I as ate it I noticed something was on the pizza that almost resembled molding so I picked at it and notice that it was a metal button with cheese on top of it on my slice. This was my last straw for this place I will never give them service again and I advice people to be careful before they ingest things that aren't edible smh.

Bella Pizza is exactly what Fordham needs. Fordham is filled with $1 slice pizza shops that use low quality products and lack originality. I've had their grilled chicken penne al vodka, the mac & cheese slice, chimi pizza slice and garlic knots. The chicken penne al vodka is really good. The chicken is flavorful along with the pasta. The serving size is huge, this is definitely a meal that should be shared. The chimi pizza slice is a full blown meal, there are so many elements to this slice. It is layered with beef, corn, cabbage, sweet plantains, cheese, and drizzled with a sauce. The mac and cheese pizza is a great slice for cheese lovers, theres so much cheese, oh & theres bacon on the slice too.

This slice of pizza which the owner calls "el vacano" the Dominican burger pizza, is by far not only the most amazing slice Iv ever eaten but by far one of the best things I have ever eaten. SINGLEHANDEDLY takes the throne, no questions. It's a pizza version of a popular Dominican burger. The crust on this is thick enough to hold the massive amount of toppings on here and super crunchy. It's topped with ground beef, red cabbage, corn, SWEET PLANTAINS and the most delicious sauce. It is absolutely incredible. Run don't walk here this pizza goes down in history. BEST PIZZA SLICE IN THE BRONX!

I've had Bella Pizza twice + had the chimi pizza both times. It has everything you enjoy in a pizza but they include Maduros which is a nice sweet taste but kind of much for my personal taste. What I love is the aesthetic inside the restaurant and the service is really up to par!

I asked for no bacon because i am Muslim and after starting to eat it I found pieces of bacon in it this is NOT acceptable at all I said it 2-3 time no bacon I will not be ordering from here anymore

My name is star and this was my first visit. It was supposed to be quick but instead, the great ambiance and customer service thanks to Hollywood, made me want to stay a while. I sat in a comfy homelike setting while munching on a yummy slice of chicken bacon ranch chicken.it was perfectly crunchy at first bite and deliciously melt in your mouth at first chew. Also delightfully surprising to find that it was not too greedy for a pizza especially with bacon on it. Yum!!! I'm already planning my next order of a whole pie for date night next week Definitely head to this spot for a nice hearty slice or pie and definitely see your man Hollywood about it

I've been excited to check this place out since I saw it under construction. The decor inside is very tasteful, but I was concerned the pizza wouldn't be up to the same standard. Luckily, my fears were laid to rest when I got my pizza home and tried it out. It was a big hit in our home. The wait time was a little long, but worth it. Customer service was otherwise excellent. Once they get on Grubhub or some type of online ordering it will be even better! read more

Food was great. We did delivery. Our order was: slice of cheese pizza, hot wings, create your own pasta (penne, marinara, chicken), and garlic bread. Everything was excellent a little on the cool side once it arrived but it's winter in NYC, so that's to be expected. Wings were good along with pizza, and the pasta was enough to eat and still have left overs. Will order from again. read more

Bella Pizza is the one place I can count on to get a fresh slice any time of day or night! If you want something more substantial and fresher than the usual dollar version of pizza you get everywhere in NYC, grab a slice here! It's a bit more by a couple dollars, but totally worth it. They've got interesting combinations all the time (my family's favorite picks the chimi or the el vacano, loaded with a whole bunch of toppings), but their take on the more 'normal' classics (pepperoni, mac n' cheese with bacon, hawaiian, penne al vodka, etc) are wonderful too. I also make a point to pick up their artichoke&spinach slice when it's available at the window, which has the right amount of cheese to greens ratio, always. And the crust, it definitely hold up (for both holding the pizza and for eating it!) Speaking of their slices, they're definitely bigger than your average slice everywhere, so it's worth sharing! In addition to pizzas, their garlic knots (3 for $1) are awesome, as are their own oreo/nutella zeppoles! And regular zeppoles too, if you're into keeping it classic. I'm not normally pizza loyal, but since they've moved to the Fordham Road area, I no longer have to calculate where to get the best slice in town close to home, aha! And the customer service is A++++!!! read more

So far I've had their Vodka Sicilian slice and their bruschetta slice and they're both AMAZING. The bruschetta slice is full of the typical ingredients and pieces of breaded chicken and you could really taste the seasonings . I stopped by on my way home so I don't know how their delivery service is but I'm eager to try out the rest of the menu. read more

I don't like to give negative reviews. But i am a person that looks a reviews when considering a place to eat. This place had reviews saying the pizza tasted very good. I got the chimi pie for my family and myself, and really expected it to be good. The pizza was full of cabbage mostly, the plantains were past ripe, and the little amount of meat that it had tasted like nothing, it was very bland. We also got fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, that was also bland and tasteless, it was like plain thick cream with no salt. We also got the Oreo croissant thing and it tasted like pure oil, and it was dry. The person working the oven was on his phone with no gloves on. The lady at the register was polite even on the phone, when i got there, one of the cooks was arguing with her about a ticket. Don't know if it was just a bad day for this business but i wouldn't eat the food there again. We ended up throwing away most of the pizza pie. read more

This is my favorite , favorite and by far the BEST pizza in The Bronx , NYC , the world period . I have been coming here since I was a little girl and it has changed names , business owners, but the pizza stays the same and never changes . I even bring my kids here now and they love it . The crust is crisp and tasty , the sauce is perfect and the amount of cheese is just right. You want the best pizza in the BX come here , no matter what name it's under lol. read more

The food was good ..... delivery needs work serious work..... I don't see why I have to pay for delivery if I'm having to go downstairs to pick it up and the delivery guy was on his phone.... took forever to show up at my building. I been to this place many times before and have never had an issue but today was very different. They lost 2 families as customers. I ordered 2 slices with toppings & an order of garlic knots. The toppings were not correct on one slice so I went back to have them fix one of my slices. The server claimed that that's what I ordered but it was not. I also didn't receive the garlic knots. I informed them of that but I learned they didn't charge me for the knots which was fine, I ordered the knots anyways. I payed for the knots (I was charged a surcharge for having less than 5 dollars on my order which would have been nice to know before I agreed to order the knots I didn't receive originally). The person I was with got a call and was talking over the phone. We decided to eat in the store & that's where the disrespect began. No music was playing before but once we sat down to eat, the music got louder and louder and louder to the point where the person I was with couldn't speak on the phone. I got up and asked (POLITELY OF COURSE) if they could lower down the music because I was eating and the person I was with was on the phone. The two cashiers said I had to speak to the cook so I speak to the cook and told him if he could lower the music & that I know he was raising the volume purposely & that it was really rude because we were eating/talking. His words were "I didn't want to hear the conversation and that it was too loud" Like what?... If the conversation was too loud, as a business owner & professional, you would have asked politely to please quiet down which would have been 10000% appropriate. Really one of the most disrespectful, rude, unacceptable, & unprofessional experiences I've had in an establishment. Don't spend your money here, it's a waste. read more

I called my order in for a extra large cheese pizza... I was told it would take 30 minutes. I arrived on time and I was told I called in 15 minutes ago... I had to wait another 15 minutes is what the cashier told me... I waited a total of 50 minutes and when I got home I realized the pizza was burnt and it tasted like a bad frozen box cheese pizza with freezer burn from the grocery store. It was terrible and to think I waited 50 minutes for it. Never again. I will never eat anything from this place again. I have never given a review. I felt compelled to let other pizza lovers about my horrible experience. read more

Not a lot of food options in and around Fordham so I was really excited when Bella's Pizzeria opened. Not only is the pizza is delicious but the owners are very nice as well! EAT HERE!!! I love pizza and more specifically, New York City pizza. I was born and raised here but I didn't really appreciate how awesome NYC pizza was until I left town for school. I was back in town visiting family this week and I wanted some real pizza. I came across Bella and I was in love. Beautiful shop (exposed brick!), variety of pies, garlic knots, pepperoni knots- everything! They takes cards and cash, and now they deliver. Super polite staff and Hollywood is the man. In brief, if you want some good NYC pizza from a quality establishment with quality people, come to Bella Pizza! read more

Well during these COVID times I expect my pizza to be hot for $30 and not an hr and a half wait time for delivery... also the audacity that the manager has no knowledge of this and has more important things than to listen to a customers advice that if it's busy we should be informed that YOUR PIZZA MIGHT COME COLD I would have never ordered from this place!!! The BEST Chimi-Pizza in the whole entire Bronx!!! Not only does he make the best Chimi-Pizza but I have tried all his pizza and you could taste Hollywood the owners passion in his creations. This man cooks with his heart and soul. I had the Vodka Pizza tonight and it was amazingggggggggg!!! And for dessert a couple of the Nutella stuffed Oreo zeppoles how freaking genius all the best desserts in one. I love this place and I can't believe I live down the block from it. Found myself on Fordham Rd on a wet night tonight & in need of a slice to make my trip on the 4 train more appealing. Saw the cool, clean sign in front of Bella & decided to give it a shot. The place is spotless and the staff eager to offer up the best slices. Had the Bella slice as recommended. Large portion covered in pepperoni and flavored chicken was a meal in itself. Honestly the best pizza in Fordham. Lots of 1$ pizza places , but none are as well made like this. Not to confuse any reader the pizza isn't a 1$ a slice but just like all good food you have spend a little. you want cheap pizza, go to a cheap pizza spot. This place isn't overly priced at all about 3.50$ a slice. Small spot yet exceptionally clean. The owner is super charismatic and all employees seem to be in a good mood. read more

One dollar pizza doesn't have anything on BELLA PIZZA. For the past couple of years, it's been hard to find really good, delicious oven brick pizza on Fordham Road in the Bronx. I was happy my sisters had tried Bella Pizza while they were in New York. After hearing about that spot, I had to try it for myself. I have been pleased ever since I set foot into the cozy pizzeria on Fordham. HOLLYWOOD and his staff welcome the customers and have small talks with them. Hollywood makes everyone feel comfortable and at home. (It's a great spot to watch sports too.) ;) Always seem to get a smile from all of the customers. The staff is very nice, but Hollywood gets to know his customers. :) Thanks to Hollywood, I know where to shop and get the best Italian wines to drink with the BELLA's gourmet pizzas. I have been eating pizza for decades and I have never heard of Dominican Burger Pizza until I met Hollywood. WOW!!!!! If you like cheap, small slices that taste OK..... Bella's is NOT for you!!! I haven't tasted pizza like this since the Jersey Shore (many, many years ago)!!! When I get home, I take my pizza cutter and make 3 smaller slices!!! YES 3!!!! And that 1 big slice fills me up!!! Bella's is for pizza conniseuirs! A variety of pizza I haven't seen anywhere else in my area!!! I've also eaten their lasagna (any doubts about it not being as good as their pizza should NEVER enter your mind!!) As a second time guest I can confirm that the pizza is delicious and the customer service is great. Hollywood was very friendly, respectful and he acknowledged me as a Monroe student. Amazing. This place is great, Chef Hollywood and Lupe's customer service is awesome, the pizza is great. They just served me the best sicilian slice I've had in a while. This place sticks out amongst the clutter of fast food options in the area. The atmosphere is dope, the vibe is right, and the place is really clean, at the same time providing an authentic eating experience. This is honestly the best pizza spot on Fordham. All their food is amazing the pizza is fresh, they use real ingredients, you can tell it's not pre made like all the $1 pizza spots you find on every corner. My favorite is the Dominican Chimi slice but I also love the vodka slice and the chicken bacon ranch are bomb too! Definitely have to check it out. Ask for Hollywood!! Bella's has been my favorite since it opened and their Margherita pizza kept me sane during the pandemic. Their staff is accommodating and sweet. I am a fan of their old set up but that could be me just finding nostalgia in it. Their pizzeria gives you the space to sit and enjoy a slice while waiting for the next 4 train to come which is probably delayed. I always introduce my friends to this pizzeria. read more

I've always loved Bella's food for its flavor, texture and variety. Yesterday I ordered a shrimp calzone and bit down on what appeared to be the a piece from the rim of to a ricotta cheese tub. It was two inches long and about a centimeter wide. I even took pictures. I still believe in Bella's food but now I know their not as clean as I thought. That should have never happened. read more
