I'm not that familiar with The Bronx. So when I wanted to treat the staff for lunch, I leaned on their advice. They recommended "Bella Pizza" and said it was close. I decided, why not. The gentleman on the phone was very polite and friendly. He put me on hold a few times to get ready, but then I ordered. I got five different kinds of pizza. The one I wanted, meat lover, wasn't something he would do. So I got standard pies. I mentioned I am not that familiar with The Bronx, right? Well I gave him the wrong address. So we had to wait for him to back track. It didn't take long, and we took the food from him quick. I guess everyone was hungry. They didn't give us cups or plates, so we made do. Finally it was time to eat. I'm sorry to report, most people not from the area, myself included, did not like the pies all that much. They used sugar in the sauce and pellet sausage for the toppings. It felt and tasted like Domino's. The buffalo chicken was okay. Maybe because it didn't have marinara sauce on it. But didn't hit the mark to say the least. I hope next time I ask for a recommendation, it's not from the staff. I hate to think if I ask for a good Chinese restaurant. read more

I first heard of Bella pizza when it was brought over to my job for a special day they were having and I found the pizza to be very good. I was told the place was located on Fordham Road and then I remembered I would see it when I would be passing by in the area.This time because I was in the area I decided to pick up a pie rather then bringing home McDonald's for dinner. Bella's is quite small but just big enough for a few people to dine for a quick bite to eat. They have a barstool counter top to eat at. The guy who took my order, was super sweet and answered everything I wanted to know about what size pies they had, the prices of the pies, if they had pie specials etc. My pizza pie was a large and came to about $21. I would say average prices. I also was surprise to see that they had zeppoles. Not your average zeppoles, but oreo zeppoles. Now I haven't had some good zeppoles since I lived in Brooklyn and to me they just don't make them in the Bronx like they do in Brooklyn, or I can't ever find them in the Bronx like I can in Brooklyn. This zeppole was different, but it was still crunchy and sweet like the zeppoles I would have in Brooklyn, and the oreo inside was throughout the whole zeppole, made it even better. It was like eating a deep fried oreo, without all the fried greasy taste. When I got home, I found out the pizza was also delicious. So good I forgot to take a picture because my family and I devoured the pizza. I think I will definitely make another visit and my Bronx residents should too. read more

Still order from here often. The pizza is always good and fresh. For some reason ordering online with grubhub doesnt allow you to customize or add additional toppings to your pizza. You can also order garlic knots, bread pieces and garlic bread. BUT on Uber eats you can add any topping to your pizza but cant order some damn garlic knots because it's not on the menu there. Instead they have the breads and garlic bread. Recently I ordered zeppoles. It was good and had a TON OF POWDERED sugar in the bag. Lol. I'll continue to order from here. So freaking good! So this is actually not my usual type of review because I actually ordered in from this spot! But I felt the need to write a review because it was THAT good! I ordered the create your own pasta option: Fettuccini, mushrooms, in vodka sauce. Let me break it down for ya'll: The fettuccini: them noodles were cooked to perfection and so just soft and yummy... I almost passed out at first bite. You ever taste something so delicious you wanna slap somebody momma?! That's how I felt when I bit into that noodle. The mushrooms: cooked to perfection... I love mushrooms with a passion and ya'll slayed that !! The vodka sauce: BRUH! Ahhhhmazing! Like I prayed before I ate the food, then after I ate that sauce, I had to pray to thank the father for this amazing experience that my tastebuds were having. Also, I'm not a big bread eater but since it came with the dish... you insist. Haha. That garlic bread was DELICIOUS! The food arrived ON TIME. And HOT!!! Customer service here is good. The decor for a pizza spot in the Bronx is different. The pizza was was good I enjoyed both slices, nice sauce nice cheese. It's a go to pizza spot. I'm not the biggest fan and thin crust I'm a deep dish man myself. But i gotta say I enjoyed it, the crust was delicious think but not to thin as to turn the slice limp and soggy. I have and would try it again I do like that they have pizza varieties that you wouldn't normally find. It's good when you can differentiate yourself from just the norm. read more

We have become regular patrons using their delivery service and all of the couriers that come to our house are respectful and prompt. *Beware*** I never really had a great experience at this location but nothing too extreme to where I had to write a review until now. I order a plain cheese slice and I as ate it I noticed something was on the pizza that almost resembled molding so I picked at it and notice that it was a metal button with cheese on top of it on my slice. I've had their grilled chicken penne al vodka, the mac & cheese slice, chimi pizza slice and garlic knots. The chicken penne al vodka is really good. The chicken is flavorful along with the pasta. The serving size is huge, this is definitely a meal that should be shared. The chimi pizza slice is a full blown meal, there are so many elements to this slice. It is layered with beef, corn, cabbage, sweet plantains, cheese, and drizzled with a sauce. I've been meaning to write this review for a long time. I've had Bella pizza a few times and their pizza is always hot, fresh and delicious. The interior is nicely decorated and the restaurant is designed with a front opening that gives the vibe of eating outside while sitting comfortably inside. Particularly on the night before 4 of July I was in the area and a lot of places shut down early for the 4th of July festivities. Bella pizza was open and I was greeted by Hollywood and the staff. My name is star and this was my first visit. It was supposed to be quick but instead, the great ambiance and customer service thanks to Hollywood, made me want to stay a while. I sat in a comfy homelike setting while munching on a yummy slice of chicken bacon ranch chicken.it was perfectly crunchy at first bite and deliciously melt in your mouth at first chew. Also delightfully surprising to find that it was not too greedy for a pizza especially with bacon on it. Yum!!! I've stopped in this pizzeria a few times and also ordered delivery a few times. The staff was always super-friendly (especially who I assume is the owner), but most of all, the food is amazingly delicious. I really loved their chimi pizza, but the star for me is anything with their vodka sauce - both pizza and pasta. The sauce has so many amazing flavors and goes really well with their perfectly cooked penne with chicken and also on their pizzas, especially on their Sicilian flatbread which has an amazing bite. I've order from Bella pizza since they opened and it's a hit or miss. I've ordered the Sicilian pie, cheese pie, pepperoni pie, mozzarella sticks, garlic knots, salads and pastas.. from the list of items above the pasta had been pretty good.. the rest are ok. Today however was a total disaster. I ordered the grilled chicken fettuccine Alfredo pasta with an order or garlic knots (super hard almost burnt but that's something they do a lot) I was more than half way eating when I felt something odd in my mouth and I spat it out... to my horror it was a piece of Brillo pad!!!! I automatically lost my appetite and wanted to throw up! I am now left wondering if I ate a few pieces since the piece I happen to feel in mouth was very small... Today I used the Slice app to order pizza from bella pizza on Fordham road. Waited a while for it to reach my house which was odd because they are literally a few blocks from my building, but that's fine. When I got the pizza half of my order was wrong. So I called customer service for the app, told him what was wrong with my order and he then put me on hold to call the pizza shop. When he came back he told me the Manager of the store told him yes they left one of the slices of pizza plain because they felt they were not getting paid enough for the topping. The toppings that they set the price for, but they were not getting paid enough for it. He then said the other pizzas where fine and they would not refund them. The pizza was nothing like what was described on their menu. Not even close. After sending slice pictures of the menu and the pizza I received they got me a refund. I don't know about any of you but I have never ever thought of telling one of my customers I would not give them something on the menu because we thought we weren't getting paid enough. If that's the case bella pizza then change your prices on your menu! And if you don't have an item or if its mislabeled, fix your menu. The absolute nerve of the manager, how dare you.
