Extremely disappointing I kept hearing from a friend how great the food is well this has to be the only Italian restaurant I have ever been to that doesn't give you a side of pasta with your entree. Extremely overpriced $22. For a small piece of fish with a tiny salad fish tasted like it was frozen cold antipasto was stale cold cuts with a couple of olives, soda cups I think we're 4 oz. I don't usually come on here to write reviews. This is a very weird place. Came in with my family. We live near by and we always pass it. Ordered appetizers. Scallops were cold. Asked for a margarita because I saw all the nice drinks, it was placed in a Stella glass. They didn't come by and ask us for our entree and gave us looks as if we should leave. I went there with my 80 year old mother, my brother and his wife. Things were good until dinner came, I had the lasagna. It was the absolute WORST abomination of that dish I had ever eaten. The cheese was mealy and mixed with mush meat( not sure what type of meat it was) the cheese was the cheap kind of mozzarella, you know the sliced, over salted garbage, maybe from Aldi? My Mothers flounder franchese was bad, not just bad but foul. The fish was slimy and very bad, sent it back to get clams which were swimming in some brown salt sauce, completely inedible.. we did not complain about it at that point, nobody cares. I don't know how this place is in business. Please do not go there, this place needs to be shut down, that's how bad.. My mother has been raving for years and year about how good the food was at Bella Napoli over 20 years ago, but she hadn't been since. We decided to stop by on my recent trip home on a Friday evening about 7pm. They took our reservation over the phone, however it seems they did not need it - we came at the perfect time. We sat in the main dining room which had beautiful exposed brick and skylights. A very welcoming atmosphere. Our waiter Marco greeted us and was very knowledgeable. I wanted the sangria- my go to- but wasn't sure which one was good. He suggested the red based on my meal choice and I was not disappointed! Awesome drink. I chose the rigatoni with vodka sauce which came with a side salad. Both were excellent, and the more i let my pasta sit while I ate, the thicker the sauce got- or maybe it was the sangria and vodka sauce setting in, i don't know, but it was goooood. I was already excited for my leftovers the next day! Not to mention the fresh bread given to us at the table once we ordered drinks. My father got some type of veal stuffed item with cheese and ham instead i think and a side of pasta came with it. My mother, i believe had a chicken dish but I don't quite remember what it was. I know both liked their dishes. Michelle came and checked on us several times since Marco, the head waiter, started getting busy with other tables but that's just fine. Honestly the best penne vodka I have ever had. I cannot wait to try everything else on the menu.

Met some friends for dinner during a business trip and had a great meal. Food - Everything was really good. We started with the calamari as an appetizer. It was good to perfection (not over fried or chewy). We had a variety of dishes for the main entree. I had the eggplant rolitini which was awesome (see picture). My friends had the Scallop Scampi and the Veal Marsala. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. Finally we had desert. Cannoli and Tiramisu were the choices and good choices they were. Wine - We shared a few bottles of their house Pino Noir. I found out that they make the wine and it was really good. Good body and nice finish. I'm not a big wine guy but would definitely have it again. Service. - Good service. They knew the balance of being attentive but not overbearing. Went there on Father's Day. Was crowded, but tables were spaced fairly well so didn't feel crowded together. It was very noisy, hope it's not as noisy on a "regular" day. Most of the food was good, but the stuffed artichoke was not good, didn't seem fresh. Sauce on ziti, average and bland. Had tiramasu, but was disappointed that it had chocolate chips...never had that before. Not a real tiramasu. Eggplant parm. was very good, as was the veal dish. Service was great and all the wait staff were attentive. Will go back, but wouldn't get some of the dishes we ordered. read more

I visited Bella Napoli last weekend as I was part of a large party for a wedding rehearsal dinner. An upside of the place is that it is very spacious and is way bigger inside than it looks on the outside. There are several rooms making it a great place to host an event. As part of the package in which I was offered I got Caesar salad, Penne Vodka, and Chicken Marsala. I enjoyed both the pasta and Marsala dish although it was not the best I ever had. The penne dish did lack in the vodka sauce taste. Dessert was a combination of cookies and cannolis which were very delicious. I was a bit upset with my experience at the bar. I waited very patiently for my beverage and the bartender was not so friendly. We had a large tab running that was separate from the package bill. When I got the beverage which was an Elderflower Martini it was not good. Alcohol tasted cheap in quality. The staff was very busy but seemed confused. I don't mind waiting around if something is not prepped or taking a bit long but please don't make your customers feel like a burden to you. read more

We have had so many beautiful parties and dinner events at Bella Napoli throughout the years. But this by far was the most special, blessed & amazing. Our daugther Sophia Lucia received her First Holy Communion last Sunday. The Italian cuisine as usual was outstanding and the staff was beyond helpful, kind and professional especially Marco who goes out of his way to make sure we have a seemless event. We are beyond blessed to have had her Communion at Bella Napoli our guests are still bragging about the food. From the fried Calamari to the Sausage & Peppers. A two hour wait! I went there for dinner at 7 PM, was not served until 9 PM. The server came over several times apologizing for the delay but never offered a reason for the delay. Did not understand why people that came in after me were being served. They never even offered a complimentary drink or some kind of compensation for the inexcusable delay. Bella Napoli was always my go to restaurant for a great Italian meal, however its nothing like it used to be. The food went from amazing to mediocre, my veal parm was tough and dry. The spaghetti I asked for came as linguine, which I don't care for. Nothing was mentioned prior to my ordering that it would be linguine. Nevertheless, the sauce was flavorless what little there was of it on the spaghetti. Such a darn shame, what the heck happened? Worst dinning experience ever! Let me start off by saying I travel frequently therefore I dine out often. As a vegan for the past 3 years I learned what questions to ask my server so they can accommodate my needs. Most upscale restaurants that don't have vegan options can manage to come up a pasta dish that doesn't contain any meat or dairy. Our server, Michele began as usual by taking our drink order. I asked for a dirty martini, not too dirty. What arrived was a chilled glass of olive juice with a splash of vodka. I sent it back only to have the same experience with the next cocktail. Frustratedly I ordered a regular martini with one olive and it was drinkable. I informed Michele of my dietary restrictions and asked if she could make a pasta dish with vegetables, no meat or dairy. I also asked if they wouldn't use any excess oil, steamed or grilled veggies in marinara would be just fine. I ordered a side salad and asked if they had balsamic vinegar, and if I could have it on the side. What arrived was a salad with a vinegret dressing. No big deal, I understand mistakes happen. When Michele retuned I order a glass of Pinot Noir which she delivered promptly. When the main course was served it was pasta and veggies literally swimming in olive oil. When Michele came by to check and noticed I didn't touch my plate she asked what was wrong. I showed her the pasta dish and the overwhelming amount of oil, she then tried to tell me that's what I ordered. Apparently anything I ask for they just do the opposite. I told her to just bring me another glass of wine and let's just call it a day. The wine never came. I asked again for another glass and she totally ignored me. The rest of my party, 8 in total said their meals were just ok, nothing to brag about. Returned - they have a pre-fix on certain nights of the week. The food was still excellent and plentiful. Tonight was a great night for a group of us Dads . It usually the Moms who do everything with the Girl Scout Troop for our daughters but tonight was Dads date night with our little ladies as a group at Bella Napoli. We were given a large room. Played music over their speakers using one of our phones and our little Girl Scout Ladies had a blast. First thing to come out was Penne Vodka and I will say it was good. Followed by a small salad which had a tasteful dressing. I chose the Chicken Francese with some mixed vegetables. Delightfully good. We had the room for 3 and half hours and even at one point I suggested for the song "Dance with my Father" by Luther Vandross and many of us fathers took to the middle of the floor and held our little ladies through a memorable moment. These moments they will all remember and it these moments that us as parents cherish. I will definitely be going back for simple dining just to see if Bella Napoli has what I think it takes to be a great place too enjoy. For now they have made a fan of me. This is as good as a gets. And it is all because of their Red Sauce. You would be a fool not to order a dish that includes that sauce. It is the money maker for me that separates it from all other surrounding Italian restaurants. It is so good that I order a few quarts to go after I finish devouring the chicken parm and penne. It's so darn good that I could take a spoon and dig away like its ice cream and wish it was acceptable to lick my plate, because I would do just that. The bread? Solid. Warm. Crispy. Salad? Solid. Does have a strong amount of pepper and salt (which I like!) The chicken is normally cooked fine, however I have had an overcooked or "tough" piece every once and while, but there was no problem exchanging it for a brand new dish. The servers are very accommodating and Sal always welcomes you into the restaurant. It is extremely nice inside and is great for parties. I will actually be booking one for next year. Came here for outdoor dining (now that we finally have that option) after hearing a lot of good things about Bella Napoli! They definitely have a great set up to accommodate the current outdoor dining rules. Tons of tables set up and spaced apart in both the back of the building and up front too. The live music was also a plus! It took a while for a server to notice us/come to us but I think restaurants are probably just getting back in the swing of things so it was no big deal! I have to say though, for how much hype I've heard around the food here--I thought it was just average. For the prices, I expected a little more as far as portions and taste go. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, I had the chicken francese with linguini and my fiancé had a linguini with seafood dish. We also split a cannoli for dessert. It's good (not great) food but the atmosphere is laid back and fun! Bella Napoli is our go to place. We have been going for years in the spots various incarnations- it was Fontanella, Il Tempo, a steakhouse and now Bella Napoli. There are fancier spots but the food at BN is consistently delicious, the staff provides warm , professional service, and Sal is simply the warmest and most accommodating host. Not only is the restaurant the perfect place for dinner but also for hosting events. The party room and outdoor patio are both comfortable and provide lovely atmosphere. If you are looking for a venue for a special occasion you will not be disappointed. If you havent had one, then you are missing out!), Italian sausages with onions & peppers, cheesesteak sandwiches and my wife's favorite: Funnel Cake! Yesterday we decided to actually eat there - outdoor dining is safe and clean and very spacious. Staff is very accomodating, very polite and very attentative. Now the food, OMG!!
