I was in the area attending a cocktail party and we decided to stop in since the venue was along the way home, so it was a spur of the moment decision. Bella Napoli has been around forever and is a a very inviting environment with an old school flair. We started with Caesar Salad and some appetizers like the Artichokes which were fine. Because I never ate here before I had something simple which was the Fettuccine with Marinara and Meatballs and the sauce was somewhat bitter and not very good. It was not spaghetti with meatballs but fettuccine which I thought was weird, and so I probably would not order the same again. Our waitress was very nice and helpful with the selection of appetizers and I got the feeling she has worked there for quite some time. Her personal service was great and attention to detail very good. It was a Wednesday night (5/31/23) and the place was fairly empty on this post Memorial Day weekend. They do have a bar area and the place is fairly large. Overall, the food was average and maybe it was the selection. Given the plethora of choices in this heavily concentrated area of Italian restaurant choices, Bella Napoli would not be a top tier choice, but I would try again nevertheless unless the experience was completely undesirable which was not the case. Chicken francese was thick and uneven, no flavor and watery sauce, veal marsala was not really a marsala sauce and flavorless, the penne vodka also had no flavor and tasted as if they used stale cream in the sauce. I've been to this restaurant several times because the woman that chooses it likes it. I can say I am consistently disappointed. I find this restaurant to be over priced, exceptionally loud and a bit chaotic. First example is the twin lobster tails. $48.00 this includes the two tails and a choice of side salad OR side pasta. It was overcooked, very dry and too rubbery to enjoy. For that much money they should provide a full entre, ie include a vegetable. My friend ordered scampi. While the plate it was served on was beautiful, six shrimp NOT on a bed of pasta for $23+ is inexcusable for an Italian Restaurant. read more

Could not have asked for a better experience at Bella Napoli. Our family of 9 went for lunch this past Tuesday - the restaurant is spotlessly clean. The service is excellent. The food is incredible. We started with stuffed mushrooms, a salad, mozzarella sticks and broccoli with garlic sauce. The food came quickly and our waitress was wonderful. Everything was delicious. Afterwards, our table got a mix of entrees ranging from chicken francese, chicken parm to grilled chicken with escarole. Everyone had nothing but wonderful things to say. Bella Napoli has been around for quite some time. We used to go to their previous (much smaller) location. Now we go to this beautiful restaurant in Bloomfield. We have never been disappointed. This evening, we started with delicately fried calamari. Crunchy outside, perfectly done inside. The chicken parmigiana, always a classic, was a generous portion, topped with fresh sauce and delicious mozzarella. The marechiara had fresh seafood, cooked to perfection, served in a red sauce that was full of flavor. The Chicken Valentino, my favorite dish here, again had a generous portion, plenty of mushrooms in a creamy Madeira sauce. As always, we ordered the tartufo for dessert. Went here during covid with a group of friends. For drinks we ordered the fig sangria and Mango sangria. LOVED the fig sangria, mango sangria was average. We were able to fill five glasses with a pitcher of sangria Appetizers we ordered the mozzarella sticks, stuffed mushroom and arugula salad. Would highly recommend their arugula salad, very fresh and the dressing was this light lemony flavor. Mozzarella sticks were slightly chewy/ oily for my liking- wouldn't recommend them. Stuffed mushroom was mushroom stuffed with bread crumbs, would give it 7/10. For entree, we ordered multiple entrees and decided to split it. We ordered all of their vegetarian food. Their vodka sauce pasta was buttery and perfectly flavored, very delicious! Eggplant parm was very average, had an egg-y taste, I didn't like it. Overall, great service with plenty of outdoor seating and private parking lot. We were able to share all of the food, and their entrees are large portions. read more

Ok I have been known to eat things that are not so great because I was hungry. And I've become accustomed to hospital cafeteria food to the point where I think "oh, this isn't half bad." So when I say this is some of the worst food I've ever had I don't think I'm exaggerating. To start off with, the bread was extremely hard and difficult to eat. Not in a "this is a nice crusty loaf of French bread" but in a "this was sitting out for three days" bad. I ordered the lasagna, which I really thought you couldn't mess up. I was wrong. There was so much ground hamburger in the dish I thought I was eating a hamburger and not lasagna. The red sauce was sweet, and there were barely any noodles. It was essentially eating a block of cheese and meat. I would not come here again and would not recommend this place to anyone. There are a million other decent Italian restaurants around here. Also the service was pretty slow and it was loud in the restaurant. read more

They have excellent chicken parm and their salad and chocolate cake were also delicious it's a very popular spot so it's nice to come on a weekday when it's less crowded. I must say I have been here for a bridal shower and for a baby shower. Each time I had to utilize street parking which is slightly inconvenient when walking in heels carrying presents. However, the food was average. I would go and experience a dinner here rather than an event to give an accurate review for the food and service. Throughout both celebrations, staff seemed appropriately attentive. At the time of each event I was not drinking alcoholic drinks to give an accurate review but I will be going back to experience the full service. So I've come to this restaurant many times before Covid. The food is absolutely amazing the inside the restaurant is super cute and trendy and has a great bar. When the restaurant started to offer outside eating during Covid I was excited and couldn't wait to go back. To my surprise, restaurant had the audacity to change their policy in regards to pasta or salad when you order an entrée. For example, if you want a chicken Parm dinner and you don't want to salad but you want pasta it will cost you an extra four bucks for 15 pieces of pasta. When I asked about this I was told it's because of Covid.. Two people, both ordering chicken Parm dinners and paying the four dollars for pasta, a cranberry juice and a bottle of Pellegrino came out to $61. I hate to post a negative review with covid but unfortunately the circumstances around XMas Eve catering has led me to do this. My family has gone to Bella Napoli for years and even had them cater our Xmas Eve last year to rave reviews so it was a no brainer to use the again this year. I spent the last year telling people how great it was and to use them for anything they needed for the holiday. We placed the order and paid in advance and had a 4pm pick up. My mom was helping me with pick up so had concerns when she went by at 3:15 and there was already a line outside. At 3:45 she put our name in to pick up the order and was told to be patient. Long story short- she finally got the order at 5:30. A full 90 minutes past the promised time and my guests had already started to arrive. My mom was supposed to help me prep but sadly she was stuck waiting in the parking lot for the food. Honestly, the delay could have been excused if the food was good but sadly it wasn't. While the seafood salad and cold antipasto were quite tasty, the chicken francese was so tough that it was barely eaten, the looks of the hot antipasto kept people from taking it (and this is something we'd normally eat at the restaurant) and sadly the worst of all, the mussels were cold which was concerning as it's seafood and not sure how long it was out. Good money spent only to have to throw more than half of it away. Sadly I will never recommend them for holiday catering again. read more

Bella Napoli is really an on-site catering operation for private parties on weekends that happens to be open to the public at the same time. If you can find a time when an event, such as a communion going on when we we there, is not going on, then a Bella Napoli meal might be more pleasurable. There is no escaping the noise or meal delay. We were greeted warmly upon arrival...but no one apologized for the long 45+ min delay because the kitchen was backed up or the inescapable noise. So my advice: call ahead. Tip: The parking lot is small and valet parking is mandatory...so just park on the street. read more

I've heard really good things about Bella Napoli, but most of what I heard was from visits that occurred at least 4 years ago. We had reservations for an 11:30 lunch, but the doors were not open when we arrived. After the wait staff saw us outside, they opened the doors stating that they had forgot to unlock them. Inside, the place is huge! There are several "rooms" that can be used for private parties. Each one has a slightly different atmosphere to it. I think that this would be a good place to hold a company luncheon or dinner. We were seated right by the door to the patio in a corner of the restaurant. It was a nice table and being that it was so early, the restaurant was not full at all. However, it was absolutely FREEZING in the restaurant. So cold that most of our party kept their coats on for the meal. We all ordered from the lunch menu, which seemed a bit pricey even for a lunch with most dishes ranging from $13-20. The servings were on the smaller side, but not sure if this is because it was the lunch menu. My chicken parmesan was not bad, but nothing to write home about. The general consensus of our party was that the food was decent, but nothing special. Our waitress was pleasant and speedy in taking our orders and filling our drinks. Overall, this would probably not be my first pick for a lunch or dinner date. However, the food is okay and service is good, so it's worthy of the three stars. read more

Bella Napoli was once Three Brothers Vegan and they are way better than their predecessor. The sauce is tastier and the menu has more offerings. YES. they're still very, very vegan complete with cauliflower steak on the menu that is waiting for my next order. However, now they are both vegan and offer regular Italian as well. It made for a fantastic family outing with two vegetarians and the rest being serious carnivores. There are plenty of gluten free options too. No complaints whatsoever. read more

Was there for dinner recently with my wife. I had the seafood special, I had the Riviera (rate 3.9/5). It was pretty good (I honestly wish I choose the Linguini Mala Femmina or the Encrusted Salmon). My wife had the Linguini Mala Femmina (rate 4.9/5) and that was really good. If the Riviera had the white clam sauce from her dish it would've been a homerun. The waitress and owner were nice and I could tell they were a little overwhelmed and understaffed. There was a huge party of some sort in the back and everything took long to come out. At first I was upset it took an hour and 20 minutes for us to even get bread & drinks. If it wasn't my anniversary I would've left, but their hospitality and quality of food made it ok. It's tough times with everything going on so I understand. The inside looked beautiful and it was a good ambiance. I'll give this place another chance in the near future read more
