The food is ok and nice to have a local place, however when they decided to throw their arms in the air yell at my wife picking up the food when they got the order mixed up with someone else's order this is unacceptable despite an attempt at apology when leaving, hence once star read more

Alright so this review isn't really about their food, it's about something else. The first time I went here was with my friends and the pizza was pretty good. Ordered a classic Pepperoni. Super good. The workers there were also nice. Service was good. Now I'm not gonna talk about their food now, because what just happened to me was probably weird. I was riding my bike on the side of the road, going a bit slow because I had food in my hand, and instead of the Bella Maria Delivery car going slow and waiting for the other car to go in the other lane, they decided to speed up and almost hit me. Don't be shocked if your delivery driver is late. He's probably been pulled over for speeding down the fricking road. read more

Decent crust and pizza was cooked well. That's where the good ends. Sauce and cheese were very bland, and our $32 margarita pizza didn't even have fresh mozzarella. Overall not a complete fail, but was hoping for a lot more especially given the price is a $4-5 more than any other place around here with higher quality. Yikes! read more

I ordered a large pizza, mozzarella sticks 6 for $13 and potato skins. The pizza was good and mozzarella sticks. The potato skins were pathetic it was one baked potato cut in two with bacon and cheese including long human HAIRS in it for $13! Which I could have easily made myself with little effort. It was 75 dollars for 3 adults. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I would recommend dominos instead!! read more

Took a long break from this place after I ordered (2days prior) a tray of penne wit vodka sauce that I needed for 1pm football game and they didnt even have it started. They said I couldnt pick it up til 5pm so I canceled the tray and got it from Palmeris down the street for 30$,was huge and delicious, plus they made it on the spot in 20mins. So months pass and we give Bella another chance. we order a Large antipasto and small plain cheese calzone. Prices didnt match the menu, salad was tiny, not enough dressing or sauce, plus the 3oz sauce cups come half filled for 3$ extra. Came to 39$ for a tiny plain calzone and super small salad wit a spoonfull of dressing. Too many good places to eat nearby to waste $ at Bella Maria. read more

Bella Maria is a small neighborhood pizza joint. It's location is off the beaten path and other than those who live directly nearby I bet very few outsiders know about it. However it's not worth hanging out at because the inside is tiny with just a few small tables. It's mostly a take-out business. Their pizza is OK. It's got a very high congealing factor. What I mean by congealing factor is a pizza's ability to congeal in a short amount of time. And boy did my pizza congeal. The cheese had solidified even before I opened the box. That's never a good sign for things to come. The sauce was too sweet and the crust could have been a little bit more charred and crunchy. Would I return again? Probably not. Especially with Grand Apizza being just a short drive away. Grand Apizza is probably my fave pizza place in all of Clinton. read more

Bella Maria Pizzeria - a hand holding a slice of pizza - Pizza Near Me - Clinton, Connecticut

What the hell happened? We called in for a veggie pizza they told us 20 minutes. I live less than 2 miles from there. It was as if I got someone's pizza that didn't want it. Cold, dry crust, had to reheat pfft. Do better. Won't be going back not for a small at 17.00 read more

I also get my shrimp parmesan dinner from there since it seems NO ONE ELSE on the state of CT seems be able to make it.( When we do venture to Log Cabin they do but that's once a yr) here I can get it to go with any choice of pasta it comes with the salad. We really don't get our pizza from here that often only in a pinch. Since my sister who's married & lives in another town works part-time at a little place she discovered which happens to be an awesome place and I believe in someone best pizza place the past few years we've been using that. But since we live in Clinton if we need Pete's in a cinch we still go to Bella Maria read more

I LOVE Bella Maria. Their buffalo wings are incredibly good; they put the buffalo sauce on the side, which I really prefer since I'm kind of a baby about spiciness. Their pizza is delicious, with just the right proportions of cheese and sauce, and they are very generous with toppings! I also really like the grilled chicken ceasar salad wrap; it's SO filled with meat and not too much dressing, so it's not a mess to eat but it's heckin' filling! Definitely my go-to pizza place in the area....try it yourself! read more

Not the worst pizza in Clinton, but doesn't hold up to Grand. Was fine in a pinch (Grand wasn't open when we "needed" it).... The crust should be crispier. read more

This is one of our family favorites. Fresh food with delivery offered. It never takes long to get to us and drivers are always friendly. The taste is to die for. read more

Bella Maria Pizzeria - the front of the restaurant - Pizza Near Me - Clinton, Connecticut

Run away from this disaster they call a Pizzeria. It is not what it used to be. The first time we got a dried up pizza from them we chose to over look it. But then we made the mistake of going back. This time we ordered two orders of fries and a double order of chicken wings. We will start with the fries: The dimply were not cooked. It is not that they were cold, they just weren't cooked! Then we move to the wings. We got a small side packet of wing sauce they barely covered 5 wings and we had 12 wings. Then we opened the blue cheese and it was rancid. Then we look closer to the fried wings that we needed to dress up with sauces and they were full of bird feathers. We tried two times to speak with the owner about this and the owners daughter Denise, was unacceptable, unapologetic and unwilling to make this situation right, even though they are neighborhood restaurant that we have frequented for years. She not only took zero accountability but she guarded the phone like a pit-bull, so we couldn't discuss this with her father who is the owner. There are many pizza joints in town that need your business, do yourself a favor and pick one that appreciates it - this place certainly doesn't nor is it sanitary or hospitable. And the food is horrible! read more

Great Salads especially the Cobb salad with chicken, chicken souvlaki over Greek Salad (comes with pitas) and the Greek Salad with grilled chicken. There chicken is moist and very flavorful. Convenient since I live near by. Staff is very accommodating too if you want a different type of lettuce or don't want something in your salad. read more

Updating this because the staff seems friendlier. It's convenient and that makes it worth patronizing. The pizza is best picked up and the cheese bread is not something we'll order again. read more

Would prob give them 0 stars if I could. Ordered for a pickup, just a meatball sub and a burger wrap. There was no one in the restaurant and the cashier fiddled with a piece of paper for literally 10 minutes while never even acknowledging my existence. Took about an extra ten minutes to ring us up. Meatball sub had two meatballs no sauce and tasted awful, and the hamburger patty in the wrap was frozen and gross. Both items were cold, and the service was embarrassing. Only thing I came away from this place was a headache and am now down $16. read more

One of the people working the phone was extremely rude and was being very abrupt with me and not letting me finish my sentences & he called me back because he said my card was declined but it had over $200 in my account & finally he realized he was putting it in as credit instead of debit. Then my pizza finally came and it was a small when I ordered a medium. read more

I took the kids to the Ethel Peters Recreation Complex on Glenwood Road in Clinton. A short time later they were hungry so we used the "Around Me" app and found Bella Maria Pizzeria was only a short distance down the road and they delivered. This was a win, win for us considering I had 7 kids with me and didn't want to pack them up to get food. When I called to order the pizza, a man answered the phone and took my order. He said it was no problem to deliver the food to the recreation complex and more specifically to the skate park which is where we were. We ordered 2 pizzas (one buffalo chicken and the other plain cheese) and a 2 liter bottle of sprite. Thirty minutes later our order would be ready for delivery and it was. I received a phone call back from someone that sounded like the same man I spoke to when placing my order but I can't be certain. This man asked where I was located at which time I explained I was at the Ether Peters recreation complex in Clinton. The address I gave him was 137 Glenwood Road, the address that comes up with any internet search. I explained it was behind a school and was a skate park. He said "ok" and we hung up. Almost immediately after we hung up I received another call. This time the call was from the "Central Office" and they starting inquiring about who I was and if I ordered a pizza. I asked who the Central Office was and indicated that I had ordered a pizza. The woman explained she was in the school and had a pizza delivery man standing in front of her. I explained that I was at the recreation complex behind the school and was in the parking lot by my car at this point. She said she would direct him to where we were and we hung up. A few moments later I see a car pull up to the circle behind the school. A man got out, walked around and then got back in his car. I called the pizza place again and a man answered. I explained who I was, where I was again and asked what kind of car his driver had. He asked me what I was wearing and explained that he now saw me. This was the man that was in the car I had just seen pull around the circle. When he finally arrived he was clearly aggravated, as was I. I explained that I had told him several times that we were at the skate park, outside, with bikes, scooters and skateboards. He asked why I would give the address of the school and I explained that this was the address that was provided when you do a search for the complex and when you set your GPS to this location. He said it doesn't matter... We received our pizza but he had not remembered to bring the Sprite. He showed me the receipt and asked me if I saw the sprite listed, it was. He said he'd go back and grab it and bring it back, he did. The only thing that saved this review from being not so good was the taste and quality of the pizza itself. Not every pizza place is created equal and not everyone can make a buffalo chicken pizza but Bella Maria can! The pizza was excellent and while the delivery didn't start out well, it ended on a note that would bring me back! read more

Solid local pizza, nothing mind blowing but I have been there twice, got a Chicken Parm that I really liked, and a good pizza.

One thing I can be very particular about is my caesar salad. This one was so good! The dressing was tangy and good, and the chicken tasted great (and there was a lot)! The only thing i would change is the temp of the chicken. it was put on still hot which made the actual greens warm. I have never ordered from here before but I definitely will again! read more

I love Bella Maria's BBQ chicken pizza. The people are so nice there and the kids that make the deliveries are polite and friendly. It's a pizza joint ( no frills) and we love it! read more

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is the fact that the delivery guy showed up promptly. This was the worst garbage food I've come across in years.$15.95 fish and chips was two triangle shaped processed pieces of fish.frozen fish sticks would have been better.$10.50 Greek salad had 4 kalamata olives iceberg lettuce and a couple under ripe tomatoes.the pizza is not really Italian style and not Greek style.it is thick and doughy.after spending $40 we through most of it out and ate cereal.with both sides of my family originally from new haven I do consider myself a pizza snob and a foody.if you have low expectations for food quality maybe it's your place.lesson learned for me.ill never spend a dollar there again. read more

We ordered here from work for delivery, paid $11 for a small salad, and $4 for campbells chicken soup. We had specifically asked if the soup was home made, and were told "yes." When I called after to state that it was campbells soup I was told " I said we make it here, I never said it was homemade. " Disgusting. Will NEVER go there again. read more

Delivery Ordered a wide array of items including Chicken Marsala, a Ceasar Salad, Cheesy Bacon Fries, Cheesy Garlic Bread, and a 2 liter of Coke. The salad was Just ok. The chicken was more like Cream of mushroom soup over chicken and pasta. The cheesy fries were warm not hot so the cheese was hardened. The best tasting thing was the garlic bread and I don't know what happened to the Coke cuz, well I never got it. I'm not sure what it cost cuz I didn't get a receipt either. It satisfies my hunger so there is that. If your hungry and in a pinch it is one of the few places that delivers around here but I am not impressed just full. read more

I ordered the penne alla vodka and it's something I will never get again from here. The portion was a good size but the taste was off and it was too creamy. The bread was good and so was the side salad. I wasn't crazy over the house dressing. It was $15 for this. I think it's a bit overpriced but maybe that's because I'm from a different area. I would recommend coming here for pizza though. read more

I think Bella Maria is now under new management, and the service and quality just....tanked. Went there on a Friday night for takeout. The girl who answered the phone said it would be about a half hour for my two pizzas. Got there 45 minutes later and they said "5 minutes longer." 30 minutes later, the pizza was still not done. There were 5 or 6 other families waiting too--one of them said they'd been there for two hours! All in all, I waited for around an hour and a half for two pizzas. They weren't even that good--the sauce was slopped on, there was 4 inches of bare crust all the way around., and it was just disappointing in general. read more

I had a delivery tonight of a pastrami grinder and it came to my home dry and looking like it was 6 hours old. I went to talk to the manager and got no where. The kitchen is dirty and looks as if it has not been cleaned in a long while. There was baked on grease and dirt on the walls of the grill and the floor was a mess. I will not be doing take out or going there again. read more

Great Greek salad with spinach pie! Great portion with grape leaves, olives, four pieces of spinach pie, and a nice fresh piece of bread! My husband loves their marinated chicken either in the club or in a sub... they deliver which is convenient, have also tried their wraps which were good also, we tried the steak and cheese and BBQ both good!! read more

Not the best experience. My partners pastrami looked like shoe leather and was just as dry. Will not order ever from there again.

Food was awesome! Had a problem with my card going thru and the delivery person was awesome about helping as well as when I called back to straighten it out. Great staff and awesome pizza. Can't wait to go back! read more
