Super Italian Hero Sandwich Combo Lunch

Let me just tell yall, I've had my fair share of sandwich's, hoagies, subs, heros. This place takes the cake point blank period. My friend and I stopped in for lunch after a 3 hour morning walk, we were starved, we were tired, and this place looked good from other reviews. We hopped on over and were greeted by who I assume to be the owner, incredible man, very knowledgeable, accommodating, and excited to make a sandwich for us. We ordered the super Italian, chips and a soda. We split the foot long. The sub was stuffed with meat and cheese, not too much in the way of filler toppings. Meat and cheese and the works. This sandwich was so big, like huge. Incredible portion for a great price, worth every penny. I live in San Antonio, and I do plan on making a journey back here to show my friends how awesome Bella Donna subs is. On top of all of this, he has unique artwork displayed and the bathrooms are very peaceful. Definitely a place to come back to. If I get married at some point, I will be asking them to cater.

    Pastrami burger

This is a go to place in the area! Great hot and cold sandwiches and plates are great too. Today tried the pastrami burger oh my my so good with the Russian sauce. Friendly and quick kitchen. Hidden gem on Burelson , one out go 2 spots in area. And they serve breakfast I didn't know this until today !

    Rueben sandwich

Stopped by this sub shop after dropping my car off for repairs while waiting for my Lyft. I thought I would be safe and ordered one of my favs - a Rueben. The rideshare showed up before I could get my sandwich. I asked them to slow my order as I was only going to pick up my rental and would be back. I always think...how can anyone mess up a Rueben. Well this place did! The marbled rye bread was excellent. The shop chopped up the corned beef. Why would anyone do that? The meat was dry and some pieces were bacon like texture. The wasn't much sauerkraut either. The dressing was sparse but I always ask for more on the side. This was the only thing allowing me to finish the sandwich. The service at the counter was great. The cooks did their jobs. Please for the love of God...teach them how to make a proper Rueben! I almost opted for the pastrami but they may slaughter (chop) that as well.

    Southwest Steak and Cheese

Excellent choice. My coworkers were brought here based on recommendations from locals and man this was a winner. It doesn't look like much - misspelled menu items, broken signage, and all - but the line going out the door was a sign we were in the right place. My only complaint is that half our orders were wrong - I ordered the regular size southwest chicken on wheat and my coworker had a foot long southwest steak on white, but I got steak on white and he got a foot long steak on wheat. Another coworker didn't get her sandwich at all. That said, I ate what I was served (no time to fight the line and get where we needed on time) and was VERY happy with it. Excellent flavor, the bread was a knockout, just a fantastic sandwich. Maybe even better than what I thought wanted.

If you're hunting for a breakfast sandwich that delivers both flavor and value, look no further. Roberto served up a sausage and cheese sandwich that took me by surprise--not just for how good it was, but for the price, which felt like a throwback to the '90s. In a world of overpriced bites, this place keeps things honest and delicious. I've been back for other meals too, and they've never let me down. But the breakfast sausage with cheese? That one's my go-to.

Great little Italian place in a warehouse district in Austin near the airport. Not quite New York but not Subway. Fast, friendly staff and fresh food.

Great sandwiches and the ambience is about as anti-chain feeling as possible. I intend to return many times and try everything on the menu.

Last week I was on a break from keto, and my husband read my mind. He took me here as the first stop on a rainy Friday night date. I know they have good sandwiches, but they also have their "bait shop" schtick. They're not near any significant fishing spots, and I didn't see any evidence of bait, but whatever. Their sandwiches are good, so they can get away with it. While I ate my sandwich on the patio, we discussed the novelty nature of many Austin businesses, and which ones can hold up and which ones are pure hype. I ordered the Club sandwich. It's not a true triple-decker club, but it was the sandwich that had the best variety of fillings in my opinion. Everything you'd expect in a classic club, but easier to eat because it wasn't stacked absurdly tall like other clubs. The sourdough bread was very crispy, and the meats, cheese, and vegetables worked well inside. On the side I got potato salad which I like more than their other option, which was chips, but the potato salad wasn't anything special. Their patio was the perfect spot to enjoy a rainstorm. They have some glider chairs off to the side that are good for lounging on, but when it really started to rain we moved in to the center of the patio. I'm glad I got a chance to try Handsome Dan's. I doubt I'll be back anytime soon because huge sandwiches like this need to be an occasional treat for me, but if you're in the Springdale area looking for a satisfying meal, this is it!

I wouldn't eat here again…read more I had high expectations with the good Yelp reviews. We ordered the ribs and the chicken quarter (which was more like a Cornish hen quarter because it was so small) The burnt end black eyed peas were we very spicy, which I like, but it was not noted and they were salty. I ordered the pork ribs with black eyed peas and burnt ends, and everything was packed with flavor. The ribs were tender and well seasoned, about three in my order, and came with a tangy sauce , grilled toast plus pickled tomatoes and onions that were downright addictive. The Black Eyed Peas were bold and spicy, with chunks of smoky burnt ends mixed in. Definitely not shy on seasoning. They serve everything on compostable plates which I really appreciate. The staff was friendly and knew their stuff. They mentioned the menu rotates often, so what's on today might not be there next time. Small batch, small menu, but worth it. The truck was set up at the brewery, so there's plenty of seating--inside, shaded, or in the sun--and drinks come from the brewery itself. Only reason I took off a star was the limited options, but overall, the food was fantastic. I'd absolutely come back to try more from their menu.
