Reenactment of how hungry we were before visit.

So good. We visited the Lake Hartwell Wildlife Safari in nearby Reed Creek and wanted to find an independently owned restaurant nearby. This place filled the bill. Excellent food, huge portions, friendly service and great value. I may have to reenact our daytrip from Augusta again soon. Wish I were a local, it was that good.

Greek salad w feta, olives, and pepperoncini was really good. Dressing make it too. Cheesy garlic bread and sauce was also very good. Stuffed shells were hot and, without being redundant, very good. Chicken parm 4, pasta sauce was a little tangier than I'd like. Chicken Alfredo 3. Cheesecake was ok. Young lady's service was good too :) Only complaint would be the bright busy lights and fans. Surprising Italian prize in GA.

So me and my family live pretty close and wanted to try this place for the first time tonight and it was okay on the food side. The servers were great. And also just by the way, I've never left a review and I never complain about food at all at any restaurant. But as we finish up, and I go to pay I notice the owners are Muslim which I have many Muslim friends and don't care at all that they are, but I then get a notification on my phone that someone wants to airdrop me a picture. Mind you, I noticed that the owners children were sitting at a booth toward the back of the place so I open it up expecting to get a funny picture and they send a picture of cat in the hat destroying the twin towers. Now in the past, I've airdropped pics before as a joke, mind you just random funny pics with no relation to anything but this is way uncalled for.

Just ok pizza. Very questionable spinach on the pizza. Comparable to Pizza Hut. It was very cheap though.

This is a VERY welcome addition to the lake area! We will definitely eat there again! {Background}…read moreI am of Italian heritage and both my parents {1st Gen} were awesome cooks. I have been cooking Italian meals since the 1970s. Thus, I am VERY picky and critical of Italian food. Only a handful of Italian eateries were acceptable to me in Atlanta. I have had veal dishes around the lake area at different establishments. I have been totally unimpressed; getting it once, and never again due to it being either overcooked, tough or both. Here, the veal parm was hot, tasty, ample size and cooked almost perfectly*. {I personally like it a bit pink inside, *but it was NOT overcooked and was NOT TOUGH which is more typical here at the lake area. } We had 6 PM reservations for our anniversary dinner to try it out for the first time. Emma, our server, was EXCELLENT! We were seated within 5 minutes of checking in. Our server assistant, Mya, was at our table and took an order for wine and appetizers, which came quickly. Emma, our main server was cheerful and attentive throughout our meal. After ordering our main dishes, the food came very promptly and the place was full. Prices were quite reasonable for the good quality which was more superior than the other "New Italian" eatery in the area and personally, better quality. The decor was changed which is nice and open. It was a bit loud, but not much louder than any other open spaces. That would be expected as the dining room was full. We did not see the owners as some reviews have stated, but I would have thanked them profusely for having great service and food. We sure hope they are successful and continue the great food and service. I would also tell them that Emma was exceptional and a wonderful server which made our dinner extra special. Thanks!

I had pesto slice, really good and crispy! My husband had meat lovers slice & loved it. Will definitely go back for dinner, bar looks really nice like a true Italian bar you'd see in Italy. *****NOTE: My review from over 3 years ago was for previous restaurant and previous owners. Four of us grabbed spots at the bar, ordered Aperol Spritzes, and immediately settled in. We shared the salad and the veggie pizza, and on our waitress's advice added pepperoni--and wow, was that the right move. This pizza is the real deal: incredible color, a perfectly crisp, crunchy crust, and layers of flavor that genuinely blew us away. I make pizza at home (yes, with an Ooni), and this is the kind of pie that makes you pause mid‑bite and say, "Okay... they know what they're doing." Not floppy, not overdone--just expertly made and insanely satisfying. The atmosphere sealed the deal. Sitting at the bar felt fun and communal, with friendly locals, fellow visitors, and staff all contributing to the vibe. It was welcoming, lively, and exactly the energy you want when you first roll into town. Phenomenal pizza, great drinks, and a spot that understands hospitality. We'd come back for the pizza alone--but everything else made it even better.

Apparently we were very unlucky when it came to bar seating this trip We ordered the burrata to start. It was fresh and absolutely delicious. But our Hot Pig pizza seemed to miss the mark. The sauce that was drizzled on top didn't seem to add anything to the dish. It just kind of fell flat after such a delicious start. We finished off with a bit of gelato which was also super yummy! And the coffee was wonderful but it was served so hot that we had to wait a while before even being able to sip it. Overall it was a good dinner, we just wished we had gone with a different pizza

Food:5/5 During the Sunday brunch, the chef and owner, Jose, makes delicious custom waffles and omelets right in front of you. The second room is buffet-style serve-yourself with salad and delicious lunch dishes of different meat-dish choices and vegetables, On the day we were there these included pulled pork, shrimp and grits, and a chicken dish. The dessert table is laden with cakes, fruit, and cheesecake, but you may be too full from the savory dishes to enjoy dessert. There is a menu instead of buffet for week day dining. Service:5/5 The servers are quick and pleasant. The owner and chef, Jose, comes around to the tables between his cooking duties to make diners feel welcome. Facility:3/5 There are indoor and outdoor tables. Although it's not large, it's casual, clean and cheerful with wall murals and cloth napkins. Location 4/5 Located on the main road thru Watkinsville, it's easy to access. Parking is somewhat limited, but usually is adequate. Price: The food is very good and the price reflects the willingness of the loyal customers to pay for the nice dining experience here, even though it is more than breakfast meals at our other favorite breakfast places. Coffee is additional to the food price.
