I had come in and gotten my hair done and the owner assured me that she would let me know the recipe used for my hair and would be happy to help me find an SD hair girl. After repeated messages, the owner would never reply to me letting me know what "recipe" she used on my hair. This honestly made me feel like since she knew I was moving, she didn't care to help me anymore. Even if she was the best artist in ATL, I can't support a business that doesn't value their customers in this way or care to help past a one-time appointment. The last time she cut it very short even though I was clear I didn't want her to. This cut is not styled. Not to complain constantly, but if you buy a product from the salon the tip is calculated with the product included. This comes out to around an extra $20. I wanted to adjust it. Sara appeared angry, I'm a people pleaser, so I went along. Not sure if the other stylists do this. Sara does. Be careful. This is a real shame as the salon is part of my neighborhood. But as much as it pains me to say, sometimes you get what you pay for, and this is true at Soge. I've been to Karen at Soge several times now, and I've been completely pleased with the results. My angelpumpkin has turned over creative control of her own hair to Karen for years. They also sell several hair care products from Bumble & Bumble and Prive - these salon products are completely foreign to me as a barbershop patron but some of you may recognize them. As an added bonus, they always have a copy of the NYT available for your reading pleasure while you're waiting. The location is a little out of the way in greater Decatur, but worth the trip for me at least...

I noticed that the color didn't burn my scalp like it usually does.....less than a week later it was as if I'd never been there, grey all over the place. The cut was minimal, barely changed the too-long hair I walked in with. At the end I was handed a pay app with 20% as the minimum option (no Other option to enter the tip I wanted to pay). Premium prices for substandard service!!
