I failed my road test 4 times before using Bell. Bell got me to pass the 5th time! I had used a different auto school in Brooklyn, and they weren't able to properly evaluate what I was doing wrong. Stephen at Bell was amazing. I was very nervous, and that was part of the reason I kept failing. Stephen helped calm me down and was able to tell me exactly what I needed to focus on, what the examiners are looking for, and what I did not need to focus on. I highly recommend Stephen. Huge thank you, I really needed my license for a while. I had tried passing the test on and off for almost 2 years, and you guys helped me get through it! read more

My daughter failed her road test twice so we decided to have her enrolled at a different driving school and chose BELL. We took the 2-lesson and road test schedule package. We're soooo glad we used them because my daughter passed her road test! We highly recommend them because: 1. Their website is very helpful in picking the package you prefer. 2. The gentleman who answered the phone was very helpful. 3. They will call for reminders. 4. They're accomodating (was able to pick up and drop off my daughter from her local college). 5. Vlad, the instructor, was patient and very calm and corrected what needs to be corrected plus he didn't yell LOL. Thank you, Bell staff! read more

A friend recommended Bell Auto after I had tried to go through a different school, with which I had a bad admin experience. Bell is different - they are straight with what they offer, customer service and booking were excellent, and their policies are clear. Peter was my instructor and he was, in a word, outstanding. He was very encouraging, patient, and thorough with his teaching. Although I failed my first test due to my own negligence, Peter helped me work out my kinks and I passed on my 2nd try a week later. I would absolutely recommend him, as some others have here! I also want to specifically highlight how accommodating they were when it came to lesson pickups. I live in East Queens but Bell largely operate in Long Island. I thought that it would be a hurdle, but we agreed to meet in Bayside for my lessons. If you're in Queens and want a solid school, don't overlook Bell! read more

Back when there was a Queens location at QCC for Bell Auto School, I attended in 2012 with Jean as my driving instructor. He was both patient and a fun teacher to train with. He knew which students were more comfortable than others on busier roads and used that knowledge within the routes that we took during the lessons. I passed my road test on the first try. To this day, I still remember many of the tips that he taught us when we were driving around. read more

Bob was wonderful! Picked my so up from my house and gave him a lesson before the exam. Highly recommend, they even schedule the road test for you. read more

So I needed my 5 hour defensive driving course in order to take my Road test .. the class was ok standard I guess but the room had absolutely no heat once so ever . It's 30 degrees outside and I was literally freezing in that room , everyone was . No one took there jackets or scarfs off . I think for the amount we each paid for the class we could have at least had heat ! I also didn't like that we got a lunch break with no stores near by and weren't notified with the email confirmation that we should bring lunch due to no lunch locations near by. Bill the teacher was nice , he's old school so not much is updated In his class , we watched a movie that was clearly based off the early 90's and a lot has changed since then but if you want to get your certificate and your in the area then it's the best class to take I suppose read more

Bell Auto School was just what my daughter needed. I highly recommend Lisa. She was able to teach her what she needed to know to pass the road test on her first attempt. After she passed the road test, we signed both of our daughters up for five additional lessons each which included a highway lesson so they would have help navigating entering and exiting the expressway and highways better. read more

Took several lessons with this school, and the instructor they sent me was a good teacher, taught me to become a better driver, and always on time; however, he was creepy as hell. Only complaint I have is that he once made a joke about abducting me with a straight face (okay, maybe he was kidding, but it was still super creepy), and then started talking to me about how he hacked into people's computers and wireless internet connections. Yeah...after that I was too creeped out to go back to him. I did end up failing the road test, due to a fault of my own, and I would go back to this school again, but this time, I'd request a different instructor. The guy that owned the office was really friendly and helpful, and so was everyone else that worked at the office. Oh, and their new cars are really nice to drive. read more

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my Instructor Chris. He is consistently on time, very patient, gives you confidence, friendly, teaches at a pace you can fully understand and gives thorough instructions. Best driving instructor ever! I passed on the first try and I cannot thank him enough for his support and his skills. 5 star review and would highly recommend. Thank you!! read more

So glad I signed my daughter up with Bell Auto School. Enrollment was super quick and easy and was able to set up all of my daughter's lessons on the same day. I'm even more pleased that Stephen Jackson was her instructor. Stephen was of great help and with his superb guidance my daughter passed her road test in no time. THANKS again, Stephen! read more

Look no further they are the best driving school around! I had such a great experience from the moment I called them. They are well organized, polite and professional. Their cars are new, clean and well kept. Edward and Seth were very helpful with all the information and driving class booking. I asked for the best driving instructor and boy the best he was! I can't say enough good things about this wonderful man! Bob was always on time! Calm, patient and knowledgeable! He made me feel at ease and very safe around the wheel. I passed the test from the first time! Thank You - Bob! Honestly I couldn't be more happier and highly recommend this school! read more

I had one of the best experiences with Bell Auto School. I purchased a 10 lesson package with an amazing instructor. Not only is Roy kind he is also very helpful and has helped me become a great driver. Roy's help is what helped me pass my road test, and I probably could not have done it without him. For anyone who is interested in purchasing lessons I would definitely recommend Roy. I just wanted to thank Bell Auto school and most importantly Roy for helping me become a safe driver. Had Mike as my instructor and he did a great job teaching me how to drive. I learned to drive in about 3/4 months. He was systematic and thorough with his teaching, not to mention very patient. He made lessons very enjoyable, I couldn't have passed without him. He goes the extra mile for you (no pun intended). read more

Well what can I say.. UGH!!! My daughters instructor Gary was amazing!!!.. but I cant say that for the general Manager! I called and signed up a for a package with 10 lesions, 5 hour course and road test.. the woman told me over the phone that its one price and told me what it was, I paid for it, well after 5 glasses I am calling the school and wondering where the driver is so my daughter could drive and the manager tells me oh its only 5 lesion, what no when i called I got a package of 10 lesions. He said if i wanted 10 lesion i have to pay more, what?? no i was told something else. . the manager was getting rude and was telling me you must pay more, look on web site, you must pay more and getting pretty nasty! saying I must pay extra now! then he said I only owe you a 5 hour course and a car for the road test nothing else! NO I was told it does not matter 5 or 10 lesion that its the same package price. I asked him to ask the woman who scheduled and the instructor about it because we are all on the same page he told me NO its a he said she said.. and he has no time.. HMMMM something is not right here. I asked to speak to the owner he then told me NO he is in Florida and not reachable, and I am the manage you don't get anyone higher than me.. No owner to get ahold of and a nasty manager.. read more

Bell auto school did a fantastic job giving my son driving lessons before his road test. My son passed his road test on the very first try and it probably would not have been possible without getting some lessons from these guys first. Adam was his instructor and I would highly recommend Adam and Bell auto school. read more

Let me start by saying that I took driving lessons while 9 months pregnant and needed to pass my road test ASAP. Gordon was my instructor and he literally saved me! His calm but firm demeanor is exactly what I needed to pass my road test. His instructions were clear and to the point. He was able to identify my fear of driving and help me nip the fear in the butt! I passed my road test with 7 lessons (6 were with Gordon) and so grateful. Thank you Gordon!! :) read more

I took the 5-hour class, one driving lesson and had them schedule my road test with the DMV. Easiest experience of my life. The 5-hour class wasn't boring, and the instructor tried to keep it interesting with informational power-points and videos. The one class I took helped me to pass my road test, I truly believe I wouldn't have passed otherwise. The instructor, Daniel Wilke, taught me how to parallel park and do a perfect 3-point turn in the span of 45 minutes. The class was scheduled for the hour before my road test, which was a perfect review before the big test. Thank you so much Bell!!! read more

I heard about Bell Auto school from a friend of mine who had passed her driving test. She recommended her instructor Chris M. I had very little time to get my license as I was beginning college and needed to commute. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. His methods on teaching things like parallel parking are fantastic. I was able to pass my road test after only two weeks of driving with Chris. THANK YOU BELL AUTO SCHOOL!! read more

Adam was a great driving teacher! Need I say more when I tell you my daughter did not have any points deducted. He explained and reviewed everything with her including the technical rules. She didn't want to drive with a teacher but was SO impressed after driving with Adam and what he was able to teach her - ultimate road test prep! read more

Bell Auto could not have been better. My son is using Bell Auto for his driving lessons and he's doing great. We signed up for the 10 lesson package and he's 7 lessons in and can't wait to take his road test. I cannot believe how confident he has gotten and he's driving great. I called Bell Auto to inquire about their services and Linda was so informative and helpful. Her recommendations for what lesson package to take were spot on. He's at Bell Auto today taking the 5 hour DMV Class and Linda was again so helpful. My son's driving instructor (Roy) is great and is so patient. My son could not have gotten a better instructor. Roy has so many strengths, including: 1) he's a great instructor, 2) he's patient, 3) safety is so important and 4) he truly is a kind human being! My son is in great hands learning how to drive using Bell Auto. Thanks Bell Auto! read more

All I want to do is schedule two sessions per week over the course of one month, June, so my daughter can prepare for and take her road test while she's home from college. And I got a ten minute run-around about how they book their lessons out months in advance, but they don't know the availability from week to week and cannot possibly commit to the same and/or time each week for lessons. So I asked the guy, "if you book your lessons out months in advance, why wouldn't you know what your availability is?" And he responded by smugly stating that as he explained before, they have random availability. He asked multiple times when my daughter was home from college, I gave him the dates which amounted to a five week period, and he continued to state that there wasn't enough time in the three and a half weeks to accommodate ten lessons. I didn't want to argue the math with him as I was already getting irritated, so I just said, okay what about 8 lessons over 4 weeks? And he reiterated that I should enroll my daughter and then we can work out a schedule. Why would I pay close to $800 for driving lessons without knowing if they can accommodate a VERY FLEXIBLE schedule? The entire conversation was exhausting. read more

If you have adam as your driving teacher switch right away. He rambles too much and is insanely rude while you are driving. He doesn't help you the most he does is stop short with his side of the break and reads newspaper the whole entire time. I had a really good experience with Bell Auto Driving School! They are super kind and always answered my questions on the phone quickly and efficiently. I had Chris M. as my driving instructor and he taught me very well. He was patient and always went over whatever I needed to how many ever times I needed it. I passed my road test because of him! I also took the five-hour class here (online due to covid) and it was a good experience. The instructor was very nice and everything was very organized. I had Gordon as my driving instructor and he was great. I failed my driving test twice beforehand using a different company in Queens but Gordon really changed my mentality with driving for the better. I had an awesome experience learning to drive from Bell Auto School. My instructor, Chris M., was extremely detailed and thorough when teaching me. I would definitely recommend having Chris M. as your driving instructor! read more

Chris worked with both of my twins to prepare for their road tests. He was effective and safe. He taught them well.

I had Gordon as my private instructor and he was horrible. First off, he is very inpatient. Once he explains something, he expects you to perfect it within the next five minutes. He does not put into factor that some people are just slower learners. Second of all, if you make a mistake, he yells at you. Not in a constructive criticism kind of way, I mean he literally screams at you. Third of all, he's very lazy. We drove the same road every time and never got onto main roads. This hurt me during my road test because my road test was on main roads. Fourth, he honestly just cares about the money. He doesn't put any effort. Even when I told him that I wanted to practice lane changes, I never got the chance to practice it. Bell Auto isn't a bad place to learn to drive. I've seen great reviews and believe that Bell Auto can help you pass your road test. But if you end up with Gordon, then I suggest you ask for someone else because you're wasting time and money with h Update: I passed with Peter. Amazing guy, super patient and taught me everything. Definitely recommend him! Thanks Bell Auto! read more

I want to thanks my driving instructor, Chris. M. I am happy with the way he taught and helped me. I appreciate his hard work. Thanks Chris.

My son took drivers ed with the school before the summer. He then left for camp for 8 weeks and was in need of a refresher course before he could take his road test. We purchase the 5 lesson package and were given George as his instructor. George was patient, knowledgeble and help my son master the parallel park. His calm demeanor help with easing my son's nerves before the road test and am happy to report he passed. Cannot say enough great things about the school and our instructor. Enrolled my son for the 5 lesson package and road test. Carol took my information over the phone and when I mentioned the online special offer of a free lesson (totaling 6 lessons), she honored the deal. My son had Mike L. as his instructor, and he told me that he was incredibly helpful and supportive. Mike L. reinforced the basic skills he had learned through Driver's Ed, and taught him the ones he didn't know. He is especially fond of Mike's method for parallel parking, which was one of his weakest skills. My son passed the road test. read more
