Sunshine Driving School stands out as a truly wonderful place where nervous beginners transform into confident, capable drivers. What makes this school so special begins with its instructors. Patient, friendly, and highly experienced, they understand that every student learns at their own pace. Whether you're a teenager gripping the steering wheel for the first time or an adult finally deciding to get your license, the instructors greet each lesson with encouraging smiles and calm guidance. They never shout, never rush, and never make students feel embarrassed about mistakes--instead, they turn every error into a valuable learning opportunity. The school's fleet of modern, well-maintained vehicles adds to the excellent experience. Each car is equipped with dual controls for safety and comfortable interiors. Lessons are carefully structured, beginning with the basics of vehicle control and gradually progressing to highway driving, parking, and navigating busy city streets. The theory classes are equally impressive, using interactive videos and real-life scenarios to teach road rules and safety awareness. Perhaps the most remarkable thing about this driving school is its success rate--nearly all students pass their driving tests on the first attempt. But beyond the test results, graduates leave with something more valuable: genuine confidence, responsible habits, and a lifelong respect for road safety. It's no wonder former students happily recommend the school to friends and family. For anyone dreaming of the freedom of the open road, this wonderful driving school is the perfect place to begin that journey.

Scheduled a lesson, got a confirmation email listing time/date/pickup location. Get a phone call the night before saying I need to meet at the office instead of pickup. Call the office the next morning to double check this info, and I'm told that the time is actually wrong on email confirmation, and that the instructor would be on his way to pickup. Instructor calls at "new time" saying that we were supposed to meet at the office, despite what person in office had said. At this point, there's no way we are dealing with this school if they can't get basic appointment info straight. Waiting on a refund.

I went in to ask if they did the 6HR defensive course and was told that they did on Wednesday's for $65. Since Covid the classes are now done via zoom which actually worked out better for me because I was able to now just sit at the comfort of my own home and do the class. I also was excited to hear that upon completion that my insurance dropped just for taking the class. Currently I have my sister taking lessons I believe the driver she is with is called Rham and she says he's awesome and very patient with her. What we really liked was that they work around your schedule, the driver will come pick you up if needed and take you home after each lesson. My sister is a new upcoming driver, she's young and still in school so we wanted to get as much lessons needed and this place offers a few package deals that helped get her going. The package we actually took was the 12 lesson package which included 12 lessons, the 5HR class certificate, and the appointment and the car for the road test. All in all it's a place with people that have the right attitude and get the job done, what more can you ask...?

(She was the passenger) This kid denies and blatantly lies to the officer, so the trooper makes him step out of the car for a "chat". She texted me angry bc she was going to be late. And she was freaking out bc she didn't know what was happening. The kid got a ticket, gets back in the car and proceeds to complain the whole way to the testing site about how HIS day & weekend is ruined. She was late for her allotted test time but they let it go. She was already nervous about passing the road test but at this point her anxiety was through the roof! Unfortunately her nerves got the best of her and she failed her test. I truly believe this experience was part of the reason she failed. But not even a phone call to give an apology- really?? Or at least call to suggest a lesson or two for free for her next scheduled road test. We got nothing! No apology and no acknowledgement of this incident. They just ignored the whole situation as if it didn't happen!

I took driving lessons with this school back in the 2000s. I knew my instructor John from an…read moreorganization we were both a part of. I am sorry to say that John and this school has got to rank as one of the worst driving schools ever. I purchased a package of ten lessons and honestly it was awful. Worst of all, was John's attitude. He's a nice guy but IMO doesn't strike me as the most intelligent. Be that as it may all I ever got from him was uncertainty "Gee, I'm trying to patient with you"--relax John, you are. That's not even the worst of it, the worst of it was his whole philosophy: "Let me tell you something if during a road test the instructor has to hit that brake that means you failed"--yeah, haven't you ever heard of the old saying "if at first you don't succeed, try again"? "Let me tell you something: driving is a privilege not a right"--Oh yeah? Tell that to all those maniacs in New York City who drive recklessly and shouldn't be driving; there's some who don't even have a license or it's suspended. You might want to lecture them before you start lecturing me. Here's a kicker "Expressway driving you gotta be ready for it. Let me tell you something, that Jackie Robinson Parkway..." Excuse me John, my father has driven numerous times on the Jackie including back when it was called the Interborough; is it a picnic? No but cut crap: it's not this big boogie man like you're making it out to be. It's learnable and it's doble. Period Now remember how I told you that I took a total of ten lessons? Well John had a "genius" idea: let's give you a practice road test on the 10th lesson so that you're ready for the real one. Of course I didn't do well on it because what this moron SHOULD have done was give me mock test on the 3rd or 4th lesson (the 5th the latest) and then evaluate where we need work and go from there AND THEN if you want to give another practice road test on the 10th lesson to determine if I should attempt a road test or not that makes much more sense. Sorry folks, they hire people with low intellect like John. Not sure if he's still there. I would stay away if I were you!
