I really did not want to ruin this place's 5 star review, and held out to see whether I would have a chance to get Dino the five stars he deserved. I have had a permit for years, but have never really had the itch to drive. Now that I work remotely but need to travel to South Jersey for work every once in a while, I was set on getting my license as soon as possible so that I could avoid the pesky NJ Transit, if possible. AcceLr8 seemed to have come at the right time -- at my sister's recommendation, I signed myself up for an evaluation lesson. Before getting in that car with Dino that morning, I had *never* driven a car before. My permit served mostly as decoration in my wallet. That morning, we drove around Forest Hills Gardens, as I learned to turn. I was really nervous, and knew that I could have handled the wheel better. Dino was relaxed, laid back, and guided me through left and right turns. Having been the first time I had been in the driver's side, I was incredibly nervous and kept mixing up gas/brake. Toward the end of the lesson, I started to get it. Dino spoke to me about pricing, said we could meet twice a week, and then said he would pick me up in the same spot next time. I texted Dino later that day to thank him for the lesson and ask about scheduling/paying, and never heard back. I reached out once again a few days later, and am still waiting on a response (it's been over a week). Unfortunately, I am now looking for other schools as I do only need to be in NJ about once a month, and would love to get practice in before then. For those of you who can manage to get a package (or a response) here, I envy you. read more

I was really impressed with everything this school offers - from the new cars (without the ridiculous signage on the roof) to the calm and reassuring manor of the instructor (Dino). I thought I'd be a hardcore New Yorker till I die. Had my New Yorker check- list on point: didn't know how to ride a bike. Didn't know how to swim. Didn't know how to drive. Yo, I was proud! As long as I had two feet and a metro card, I could go anywhere. Didn't need all that nonsense...up until the trains started going haywire and my sanity diminished. I started dreaming about a life in the suburbs but then I'd panicked. How da hell was I gonna survive without a car?? That's when I found Dino. Dino is a no-nonsense driving instructor. Super patient. Super chill but doesn't bull shit either. He'll tell you like it is; cuts right to the chase and tells you everything you need to know for the exam. With about 6, 45 minute lessons, I went from being scared shitless behind the wheel to ridin' dirty. They see me rollin'....they hatin'....you know the rest. I passed the test on the first try. You don't know me but that's a big deal. I never envisioned myself driving. EVER. But I did it and I have my license now thanks to Dino. Seriously, if you live in Forest Hills and you don't know how to drive, just do it and get over with. The bus ain't coming. The train station is a mile away. Stop putting your butt through misery during the winter. Stop paying for 2 dollar cabs. Don't go anywhere else. Dino has it down to a science. read more

Dino was very informative and straight to the point when it came to educating me on the different rules and techniques it took to pass the road test as well as everyday driving. He was very laid back and let me find my own comfort zone to teach accordingly. Each lesson was completed to its entirety; Dino is quality based to make sure you have the confidence to actually drive a car fluidly. His rates are more affordable and provide a better monetary value as well as quality value than some other places I'd checked out prior. If you're in Forest Hills- or anywhere in the area, give Dino a call and schedule a trial lesson and he'll advise you on what you would need to practice. Dino and Syed are the best driving instructors in this city! I've been to other driving schools that made me quit due to their lack of sophistication, and judgemental characters. When I got to experience driving with Dino. I was met with maturity, patience, and diligence. I felt completely at ease behind the wheel while driving with Dino; which is wholly new to me. He gave constant praises on how I was driving, also he properly instructed me on how to fix any of the errors that I did make. I passed my road test on the first go! if it weren't for AcceLr8. I'm a little bit confused about how there are good ratings. I never even agreed to sign up for the driving lessons I was so turned off by the level of unprofessionalism. Random texts demanding I call, "who this" in response to follow up, then no response to email. When I spoke with him on the phone he was all over the place and couldn't keep straight who I was during our conversation. He then told me to send him a picture of my ID. I don't know him from a hole in the wall, no way was I sending him such personal information. The entire experience left me feeling uncomfortable and with a bad feeling. read more

Dino is a good instructor. We only buy 10 hours package from Dino, he taught a lot to my daughter. My daughter first tries the road exam and passed. Only 45 minutes a class, sometimes he will late and end class on time. Overall I recommend Dino to who is looking for a good driving instructor. read more
