While driving one day, I happened to see a Success Driving School car and jotted down their number. I'm so glad I did! I booked lessons for my daughter, who will be commuting from college and needed to get her license. We chose their package with 5 lessons, the 5-hour class, and the road test. Her instructor, Steve, was absolutely wonderful, patient, kind, and supportive throughout the entire process. We had a small hiccup along the way, but the receptionist (I wish I remembered her name!) handled it quickly and resolved everything in no time. Yesterday, my daughter took her driving test and passed on her very first try! I can't recommend Success Driving School enough. I paid for a package for my daughter which included 5 hr. class, driving lessons and the car for the road test. I kept calling the receptionist to make the appointment for the road test, being told continually that the appointments are few and in between with DMV and I can try myself to book an appointment on line. I was offended because I was paying for a service and now you are asking me do your job nicely. Absolutely terrible driving school! There is no customer service here, the receptionist are rude and ghetto. I've been given the the run around just to get a copy of my 5hr certificate. The driving courses were just plain awful. I had a driving instructor that made me pull into a gas station because he had to pee !!! Like where's the professionalism ?!? And he was 10 mins late for picking me up and 5 mins early. That same driver was asking me questions about my personal life like if I had a boyfriend and where does he live ? I was uncomfortable to say the least. I've wasted two courses with him and never got a refund or replacement courses. By far one of the most unprofessional and unregulated business I've ever came across. I was scheduled for a 5 hour class and not only that, they violated multiple data and privacy regulations, we're very rude and confrontational even in the class. They don't essentially teach you anything besides asking rhetorical questions and going over driving laws. Please save your money and time. read more

Successful Auto Driving School is indeed the best driving school around. I happened upon this school when I noticed one of its cars on the road. I called to get some information and am very glad I selected this school for my teen daughter's lesson. Her instructor "Jean" immediately put her mind at ease. He always arrived on time and turned a once nervous student driver into a calm and confident license holder. She was taught proper technique, the law as it applies to driving as well as safe defensive driving techniques. This school is a full service school. My daughter took her permit test the later part of 2015. She was not able to schedule her driving test until after 6 months. The school having this information, scheduled her lessons, 5 hour class, driving test accordingly. She received reminders and simply showed up. This was an added bonus as teens can be forgetful at times. My daughter past her test on the first try! Great Job Succesful!!! read more

My Girlfriend had 4 classes and then the "Brush Up" class right before she took the Road Test. She can't say enough about Parker and how patient, professional and punctual he was, he gave her the skills and the confidence to pass in Garden City Park. Would most certainly use them again. Whatever happened to CUSTOMER SERVICE! Called Success Auto School on Merrick to inquire about lessons. Their website lists packages based on the number of lessons. All lessons come with: Road test appointment Car for road test Pickup service Road test evaluation 5 hour class Packages 1) 5 lessons $350 2) 10 lessons $450 3) 15 lessons $640 I was a bit confused since most businesses reduce their prices when the quantity increases. The receptionist said she'd have the owner call me back, as she wasn't familiar with the pricey. Didn't happen. She called back and said the prices are final. I asked "does the owner NOT want to talk to me?" She replied she's in a meeting. As I continued to talk, the receptionist hung up on me - no accident. I called right back and "Kelly" said the owner wasn't there. I informed her that someone hung up on me and Kelly said she doesn't know who the person is. I asked her to tell the owner that I will be taking my business elsewhere and I would also post me experience on social media and guess what!!! "Kelly" hung up on me too. I recommend for sure. I took lessons with Parker last year and he taught me the basic rules of the road as well as how to park and 3 point turn. I didn't take lessons for a while and got a little rusty but I took a brush up lesson a week before and that def helped. Very nice driving school the will teach you the right way to drive. Sean was very rude and sarcastic. When I first signed up with successful auto driving school I was paired with him. I informed him in the beginning that I didn't really have any prior experience and if he could be patient with me when giving instruction. Both classes I have done with he was eating while teaching me and when he wanted to correct a mistake I did wrong he would be very forceful take the wheel and squeeze my hands to the point where it was hurting after the class. I'm sure I'm not the first by how he acted nonchalant about it afterward. This was my last class with successful auto and it was the worst instructor and interaction I've ever had. read more

Wel,l I must say with the aide of Successful Auto Driving School my youth was able to pass the NYS road test today in Garden City Park with flying colors. The most enjoyable part was I did not have to step one foot inside DMV. Everything was arranged and taken care of by them swift and promptly. This included: the 5 hour course, lessons, and the road test. A wonderful package deal. The instructors were friendly and professionally. Andrew was able to give specific pointers on how to get that parallel park down to a science. We all know how fun parking is in New York. Successful Auto Driving School was recommended to me from someone who at the time had a good instructor.Who no longer worked there,so I was assigned to six different people. (Junior) for instance kept taking me to the same area over and over again even after I complained.Didn't care all the while he played with his cell phone lousy lied when he said he couldn't let drive off from in front of the school kept taking me to side blocks then switched sits.And there was (Anthony) could be nice at times,but his English is no good west Indian accent is to heavy. (Andrew) nice guy good instructor but didn't want to wear a mask and will not....(Ricardo) a piece of u know what,insisted on dropping me off far away from my pick up location.(Kevin) boy is he a work of art,told me not to signal as I turned left,wasn't going to listen to him because I knew better.Like also to play with his cell phone,and to take you to the same areas.And last but least (Lewin) seem not able to come on time or not at all.Now ask your self a question do you think you'd like any of those in all fairness if so you'll probably be able to tolerate Anthony....Note, after all of the B.S. My instructor was Jean he took me on a 1st lesson and told me I should upgrade my package and he guarantees I will pass however in the same breath he said I did better than expected. So I upgraded my package. He would short my sessions sometimes by 15 mins I would let it slide because he said I was doing pretty well and we had an verbal agreement. Two more lessons left before my road test and I told him I need more practice parking, all him did was having me drive around one of the sessions while HE WAS IN AND OUT OF SLEEP, mind you I wasn't worried because if I fail he'll take me back free of cost and re train me. The morning of the road test I left 2hours prior (which was 6AM for a 8:30AM test) to practice my parking with him which lasted for 30mins while another student practice. Needless to say I failed the test and they are charging me MORE MONEY. So if you decide to try them ensure everything is on paper which is promised and ensure you confirm the time to finish your lesson out loud. If you scheduled a session be ready at least 30mins before the time because they will be early and you'll be rushed and have to stop what your doing. Take your business elsewhere. read more

She was not reviewed at all on how to function their car. Wherein they had promised that she will be reviewed before she take the test. She failed twice. I had to pay $ 500 for the 10 lessons I learned for the first time. And those 10 lessons didn't bring me the results. The second time I spent an additional $ 500 to study the second course. when I receive a lesson, they say if I cancel the lesson during the day, I have to pay $ 30 but they canceled my 3 lessons without telling me the reason. To start, I purchased the package that included one free lesson. They told me to call them to schedule that lesson before my road test and when I called, they told me I had already taken it. Secondly, although my first instructor was great and very friendly, on my last lesson the day before my test, I get a whole new instructor which I did not mind at all, except that he was extremely unprofessional and rude. I do not remember his name. Like any person the day before their road test, I asked questions to ensure that I have the correct information and he tells me that I shouldn't ask him anything. He proceeds to laugh at me and goes on his phone. I thought he was there to teach me not to hang out. He has his feet up on the dashboard and is texting. He answers a FaceTime call and shows me to the person on the call. I felt extremely uncomfortable but continued to drive. He then laughs at me as I make a turn and says that I reminded him of some other student. Thirdly, the drivers all have different methods of teaching you to park and I understand that, but when I'm demonstrating how my other instructor taught me, he stops me, he grabs my hands as I'm turning the wheel and presses on my hands very aggressively. I know he knew I was uncomfortable yet her did not stop. He says he is going to have a "talk" with my other instructor and says to forget what I learned. I had high hopes for this place and looked forward to receiving lessons from them but seeing as how the instructors were I would not recommend them to anyone. And, looking as how the owner has responded to previous reviews, seems to me like they don't care either. read more

I recently bought a driving lesson package which included 5 driving classes, the 5 hour class, a car to use on the road test and a road test appointment. My driving instructor was Kareem, he was very calm and gave really good instruction during the classes. I started off not really having much experience driving but in a few lessons he taught me to be relaxed and confident in my driving. I just passed my driving test today thanks to Kareem. Awful. In my case, I had payed them for a service, but because of the pandemic they were not allowed to deliver the 5-hour pre licensing course by New York State. When I called them to inquire about a refund, they said to take it up with PayPal and throughout the process, they have side-stepped paying me directly and shifted the refund to PayPal. You will then be forced to open a case because the seller has not been cooperative and you may/may not get your money back. I don't understand why they can't just refund me my money for something I never received. read more

I just passed my road test with the help of Successful Auto Driving School. I had 4 lessons with Omari, 1 with Anthony and 1 with Junior. All my instructors were excellent and helped me gain the confidence I needed behind the wheel. This was my 2nd attempt, the first road test I failed after several lessons with All Nations Driving School. I noticed a huge difference in the two schools and instructors. The instructors at Successful Auto were always on time and always friendly. Most importantly, they gave me many tips for parallel parking which is my weak area. I purchased lessons for my son in 2019 after a friend of his recommended them. The instructor would sometimes come late and short the session. The day of his road test, they came late to pick him up in a different car that he never drove, also a different instructor. He Failed!!! I purchased another package and since he didn't need another 5 hour class, they said they would give a highway lesson after he passed. When I tried t schedule it, they basically told me they didn't know what I was talking about and tried to charge more for it. He never got that lesson. Now I am looking for lessons for my second son. Very unprofessional and unorganized. I would not recommend. They re-scheduled 3 out of 8 lessons and driving instructor refused to teach me how to park when I only had 1 lesson before my road test. So I never learned how to park. The school did not schedule my road test for 3 weeks so I had to schedule it by myself. Then they told me to pay extra $60 cash for them to take me to the road test site which I believed was included in the package because it's not "included" in their road test sites.
