Coming from a guy who really doesn't like to shop, I legitimately like going to this Belk's! The layout is very easy to navigate, and they have a large selection of apparel, ranging from Quiksilver to Vineyard Vines. They usually have a lot of great specials, and this is definitely my go-to place to buy khaki pants and shorts. I also like how they have some decent dress clothes, as well as stuff like graphic tees, so you can do most of your clothes shopping in one spot. Oiy Vey how did I not shout out Brenda on this review yet!!! When I say this was one of the best shopping experiences I have ever had. Brenda gave such AMAZING customer service and personalized service to each person in line. It was pretty insane she was the only cashier during such a chaotic time. I felt so bad that the lines kept growing longer as the minutes grew. Brenda took the time to carefully search each guests account to ensure they were receiving the best possible deals and utilizing their coupons appropriately. Hands down Brenda for Employee of the year!!!!! This was my first time shopping at Belks and I love love loved the experience thanks in part to Brenda's stellar service. Belk is an often forgotten place for clothing. If you hit it between seasons with coupons on clearance racks, you have hit the jackpot on nice affordable clothes. The selection is hit or miss. I have never had success finding the perfect outfit without a plan. With that being said, have a plan. Be flexible and Belk could be a great value for a versatile wardrobe. It is a great place for basics that stand the test of time. That cute black dress; that sundress that is perfect with some cute accessories. This is that kind of place. read more

I sure wish Belk would open a location near me in Buffalo NY because I stop in every time I'm down south! This location is my favorite thus far! My son made out like a bandit doing some back to school shopping. This prompted me to go back on my own. I only had an hour to shop but I could have spent all day there! I made out well too and bought a few more things online! Customer service was fabulous all the way around from the shoe department to the cashiers to the online representative that called me in regards to an email I sent for help. I bought a ring on November 18, 2022 (less than a month ago). I wore the ring one time for a few hours and a side stone fell out. I attempted to return the ring with the bag, box, receipt, and tag and they refused because the tag is removed. I am not returning it because I changed my mind. They sold me defective merchandise. They told me that I could buy a warranty. I am not paying to fix their defective product. Do not buy jewelry here. read more

We live in Florida and purchased clothing items online to be delivered to Lexington as a gift. The clothing didn't fit and was returned to the Columbiana store. The associate mistakenly charged my credit card as a sale (nearly $150}, rather than a return as required. Two emails to Belk customer service was no help. A personal email to the store manager was ignored. Fortunately, Synchrony Bank quickly fixed the problem after I disputed the charge. read more

9 yr old daughter wanted to try on some pants. We were told that the children dressing rooms have been closed since March 2023 with no reason given and she was told she could pay for the items or if she wanted to try them on she would have to go to the boys dressing room, which was full of boy teenagers. We will no longer deal with such a a slack ass company that will NOT support young women. SAD!!!! Found a pair of shoes I loved and made the mistake of bothering the shoe associate by asking if they had my size. She went in the back, and returned, stating-- nope-- they didn't have my size. Okay, no big deal. I'll just order online. So I go home and order online and immediately get the notification that they have shipped. FROM THE SAME LOCATION THAT I JUST LEFT. I am in Belks a lot, and normally I can find something I like, they carry Free People which is my favorite brand, most times there is no sales person to let me in the dressing room near that area and I have to walk across the store to another dressing room, which with a 2yr old can be annoying, that is fine, I deal with it, this past Saturday I had a very nice woman help me out in the dressing room near the FP section, very helpful, very nice, I was extremely grateful as I had my little one with me...there was a FP top I really wanted however they had only an xs and a large, which I could have dealt with the large because this brand runs big anyway, but she found several mediums in other stores and assured me that another store would ship it out and I would be charged the sale price on my card when it shipped. I gave my info and ordered the top in m. I waited...still today nothing. So I contacted customer service via email and was told to call, I called, the cust service rep told me the order had been cancelled. Why? Apparently they didn't have the top in medium. I asked her to look again - I was assured on Saturday that they DID IN FACT HAVE SEVERAL AT OTHER LOCATIONS! ...nope...they don't have it! Then why was I told they did? I don't blame the sales rep at all - she did her job. I blame the poor computer system or the people who actually keep track of this! They have another color on the website but again only in xs. Nordstroms has it but for a higher price. I was looking forward to wearing the top and now there is zero chance of that happening but what really gets me? They had my phone number and email - and no one thought to contact the customer and actually tell them that there was a mistake and they didn't have it and would I like something else instead?! Nope. Just cancel my order and treat me as if I do not exist. Thank you Belks, I can tell you really value your customer base. I would have really liked to know I wasn't getting my order instead of waiting around for it to magically appear in the mail. I have been waiting for my account to be charged and wondering what the heck is going on. Quite the let down. read more

I was shopping with my son for a graduation suit and after several hours both of our nerves were frayed. He had tried on over a dozen suits and not many fit right on him. I told him that he would know when we found the right suit. And we found it at Belk's! My son is a 44 Regular with a size 38 waist and I had him try a Calvin Klein suit seperate and the fit was perfect. All that had to be done was to hem the pants. I sought out Corey who was just getting ready for a break and I asked him if he could take 5 minutes to chalk the pants and ring us up. He did so with a smile a nod and a wink! I moved from Arizona in December and took me awhile to find a place to do my brows, till I walked into Belk and was extremely impressed with Taiylor at the Benefit Brow Bar. She is incredibly professional, caring and she is a wizard for eyebrows. I do not go anywhere or with no one else. My brows look amazing and there is not a day that goes by that Someone comments on how beautiful my eyebrows look. And I owe it to Taiylor. read more

This Belk is amazing. I've been to Belk stores all over the country and this one by far has the best service. I was looking for a watch and the sales representative (Tina) was very helpful. I didn't want something too fancy but also wanted it to stand out. She picked out a nice Armani Exchange watch for me. I'll likely be going back to that Belk to buy my girlfriend a thong or two. This review is specifically for the Womens Shoe Section & these two tramps currently working in it!! As we speak I am in Belk, came to shop for perfume. Picked up two new fragrances dropped $170 within 5 mins. Decided to walk thru the women's shoe section, and one of the Sales Associates on duty whos probably making $8 an hour went to every other person in this section to asked them if they needed assistance and bypassed me. (What? Am I invisible?) My ethnicity doesn't negate what I have in my wallet. The other white female on duty didn't ask if I needed assistance either! I am purposely sitting in their area, taking my sweet time writing this review. I thought Southerners were hospitable?!? Lol.... I'm not upset, I'm just aware of the lack of solid customer service shown here in Columbia SC... and now I see certain ppl or types are being profiled!! Shame on you two tramps ans Belk for hiring you. You lost a sale sweeties. This belk is the best in the area and it is a split section store. There is a belk mens and a regular belk and both have great selections of merchandise. The staff in the main store, lower floor was not very helpful but the woman on the 2nd floor in the home goods section was extremely helpful. I visited this store on Black Friday and struggled to,find some items as they were tucked away in the corners. I wish this store was better organixed and a little cleaner; that would earn them the miasing 2 stars in my book. read more

Ordered a gift for a bride. They sent the wrong thing even though it was verified over the phone. They offered to send the gift I had ordered and with a 20% discount but that would have been significantly more. There was nothing I could have done differently to get them to send the right item. And without putting the bride through a lot of hassle, I couldn't get the right product to her. They also were not answering their phone this morning. It rang off the hook (40 rings) and then it disconnects. Did this 3 times. Sorry but this was a bad experience for me. read more

There is stuff crammed everywhere. It's hard to shop when you can barely walk down an aisle.

The sales here are great, but it's so difficult to shop here because there are rarely any sales associates around to help. Once, when I found a shirt with no price tag on the clearance rack, I had to wait almost ten minutes to get some help. I finally tracked someone down who seemed less than happy about having to figure out the price. Needless to say, she went to "find out" and never came back. I had started making Belks my go-to spot when I went shopping but this was the straw on the camel's back in a long line of absentee associates, and I havent been back since. read more
