During a recent visit to the Columbiana store our daughter who was asked to attend a wedding at the last minute. We were very fortunate to encounter Kristin who helped us find "the" dress directed us to specific individuals to assist with hair, nails and makeup! What a gem. Yesterday when we returned to the store she saw us and immediately asked how everything worked out and remembered my wife and daughters names Incredible. Dillard's - The dress! - Department Stores Near Me - Columbia, South Carolina

This Dillard's is great! It's organized and easy to maneuver from one department to the next. There's a map at all entrances of the store so you know exactly where you are and the other departments are located. The prices are on the higher end but they carry quality brands. They have a good selection of fashion jewelry with many of the items being on sale. The women's shoe department is huge, with a good inventory of clearance shoes. They have a good selection of vintage designer handbags like Louis Vuitton and Gucci. All sales are final. I noticed a few associates but none of them acknowledged me--bummer. read more

I went to return shoes that I received as a gift for Christmas and the staff made my transaction effortless. They had plenty of staff members to assist with customers. But what I though was a little off was that some staff members didn't have a name tag so you had to guess if they worked there. You had to ask . I think that every employee should always have on some kind of identification to single you out. Staff was helpful but not very friendly. I have worked customer service and I think great customer service is a must. A lot of retail stores need to improve on this . read more

Juniors dress section, January/19th-2023, 1:15PM: Employee was incredibly rude and not in anyway fit for a retail position, she was not helpful and actively followed us around questioning us anytime we stopped, she made the experience uncomfortable to the point we had to leave. Entirely unprofessional and not a proper way to conduct business, will not be returning. read more

My brother and his boyfriend were trying to try on dresses and lady who was working in the juniors section around 5:30-6:00pm on aug 3rd 2022, Kicked them out, and when they tried to go to another dressing room she kept questioning them, i can't even describe how upset and distraught they are right now. It's just so unbelievable that in this day in age that they would be discriminated against. Bad service. read more

Best Dillards I've ever shopped in! This has to be the first time in ages that I had a helpful sales clerk actually help me find an outfit. I was looking for a dress and accessories for my son's wedding and rehearsal dinner. Trinity was AMAZING!!! Not only was she helping me, but she was helping others at the same time. In less than an hour she had me with 2 perfect dresses. I even went back the next day to buy another dress she had helped me with that I knew I could wear at a later time. She was my life saver!!! I'm really not convinced there are any employees at this location. This is the second time in a couple of months I've been ready to check out but have had to wander aimlessly looking for somewhere to check out before giving up and leaving. I am a northerner and have never been in a Dillards ever. Matter of fact I've been in Columbiana Mall several times ans never even noticed this store existed. Well as I was looking to find a Valentine's present for my ultra picky boyfriend.... I was greeted by Heather by the perfume section at the entrance. She immediately grabbed my attention as she was extremely friendly and had a easily laid back approach. She piqued my interest in a new Vince Camuto perfume exclusive to Dillards and a fabulous cologne by Valentino for men. She clearly knew what I liked. And eventhough I came in to purchase for my counterpart I couldn't leave without that Vince Camuto perfume for myself and what a deal it was. At only $79 for a 3.4oz parfum! OWWW. I will be back as Dillards seemed way more interesting than Belk! Lol read more

Omg!!!!!! What a pleasant surprise! What a nice department store. I haven't shopped in a Dillard's in several years! This place was packed neatly with wall to wall fashion! The prices can get a bit steep, but they have selections that you can't find anywhere else in Columbia. I used to swear by Belk, but this Dillard's is my new secret weapon! Oh and the staff was so helpful. I kept getting lost and turned around and the women in the store were so pleasant and helpful in assisting me on my little excursion. What fun! Have not been to the Dillards in Columbia but always shopped Dillards in Ft. Lauderdale and was never disappointed. Great Brahmin bags (I have about seven of them;) and they have a terrific selection of shoes. Clothing? It depends what you buy and what you are willing to spend. Obviously, the cheap stuff is just what it is - CHEAP. Looking forward to checking out the store here. read more

So don't expect to return anything, including their own store brand. They have "sales" but it means there's a three-day return limit. Sadly, it was Christmas and I bought more than three days before Christmas. The store-brand shirt I brought in had all the tags, had never been worn, and was in no way altered or damaged. No store credit, nothing. I get stores in bankruptcy having no return policy, but this from a supposedly solvent business? Why shop in a store with minefields like this on the sales floor? I was shocked. The customer service staff was actually very professional, and so I was kind as well. But. Why shop at a place with tricks? If the shirts aren't good enough to accept as returns, don't put them on the sales floor to begin with. Load them in a truck, give them to Goodwill, and take the tax credit. Just don't do this to your customers. I don't have any desire to go back to this chain again, it's no longer a pleasure knowing I'll have to constantly be on the lookout for trickery and bad behavior. read more
