I've been to Bills Cafe many times but the most recent time was this past Easter Sunday. We visited…read moreearly in the morning where there was no wait time and my party of 4 was sat right away. Shortly after, we were greeted and waters were brought. Drink ordered were placed soon after. After reviewing the menu and made up our minds, our food order was placed as well. Food was served, enjoyed with the family. I ordered the crab cake Benedict with my Paloma mimosa. The other plates in my table consisted of the country fried steak and chilaquiles which were both great and enjoyed. We had our table our chit chat, ordered pancakes for dessert and overall we enjoyed the environment, speed of food being served and attentive service provided by the restaurant servers.

There was an option for outdoor and patio seating - we opted for whatever was quickest. After about 10 minutes our name was called for an indoor booth. Our waitress was kind and great at checking in on us. I went with the California omelet. We received our food after about 15 minutes. The food itself was ok. The hash browns were undercooked (underneath the top crispy part) and the oil the food was cooked in, tasted stale. The portion size was definitely on the bigger end and the omelet was stuffed with veggies. Would come back on an off peak day to try a few of their lunch options!

Quite certain it might be the most expensive breakfast in Livermore, but their food is really good…read more Massive, and I mean MASSIVE portions of breakfast staples cooked with a deft touch. Bottomless, made to order, mimosas with just about every flavor possible, yeah you can for sure sign me up for visits to Monica's. One thing that is critical to remember, it's always busy and the weekend brunch hours are a madhouse, expect to wait. Now, that being said, if you're lucky enough to snag a seat at their six seat bar on the left side when you walk in, that's first come first served and they offer the full menu there. If you're waiting for a table, try to sit on the side patio, soak up some sun and watch the people strolling by.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and our food came out in about 15 min. The restaurant was also very clean and had a welcoming atmosphere. We did the bottomless mimosas, and they were definitely worth it! The champagne-to-juice ratio was great (mostly champagne!! lol) and there were several different flavors to choose from like mango, guava, orange, etc. I also ordered the Drunk in Love cocktail and it was super tasty. For food, we ordered the BLT and the bacon cheeseburger. Both were delicious and came with fries. Overall, great food, great drinks, and great service. We'll definitely be back!

Sharing the tri-tip steak and eggs with my daughter. And an ube latte, ube matcha iced coffee and mango matcha. When it comes to the Bay Area's ube drinks, I'm always let down and I surprise myself when I do order it. Like tell me I'm lying when Starbucks' ube was a massive fail for me as a Filipino. Post- meal: steak was medium rare and juicy. My younger daughter was in heaven with her tri-tip and A1. Country potatoes were well seasoned. My daughter had club sandwich which she ate voraciously. She's not typically a sandwich person so this was a good sign! Our specialty drinks. Now, with the ube. The ube foam had the tiniest hint of ube flavor but it was more of a purple foam and didn't satisfy my craving. My younger daughter had the ube matcha and although she liked the ube foam, she kept asking me to ask for more because her drink only tasted like matcha. It was more of the same for my daughter who thought there wasn't enough mango in the mango matcha. If we don't finish our drinks, we usually take it home to go but we decided to leave ours. It's not enough to have a good presentation of specialty coffee drinks but the taste leaves one wanting. I want them to do good. There are better foams and syrups out there. Check out the syrup that Porto's uses for their ube matcha. There's great small batch syrups as well. Our waiter was lovely. You get the sense that this is possibly his family's business. If not, he definitely had pride in this restaurant and his work which leads me to believe that I would give this place a try again to eat their food and see if they've improved their coffee menu.

This is the sort of place to get an impressive, affordable and delicious brunch if you're hungry, or to just have a relaxing morning with your family (or alone), if you're not in the mood to cook

The wait to order wasn't too long, maybe 15 minutes? While you wait, you pass by a display of cookies and they even have samples out for everyone to try. The staff was very nice, even though they were super busy! We tried: - Free chips & salsa: These are a must everytime I visit denica's. They are a great snack while you wait for your meal. 9/10 - The ube pancakes: These were pretty solid. I didn't think that the pancakes themselves had a very strong ube flavor, if any. I think all of the flavor was in the ube coconut sauce that they come with. However, there is only sauce on the first layer so you might want to get extra! It is an additional $2.75 or so to get the extra side of ube sauce, though. The pancakes themselves could have been a little more moist and fluffy, as they were a bit dry and dense. I loved the fruit and sauce, so that definitely made up for it! I'm glad that I got to try, but I don't think I'd get them again. Instead, I would get a regular pancake and a side of the ube coconut cream! 8/10 - The chorizo burrito: My bf said that this was also a pretty good option. He thought that it could have been a bit more flavorful, but was still satisfied with his meal! 7.5/10 - The side of hash browns: These were good, as to be expected! The portion was a bit small in comparison to other diners in the area. 7.5/10 Overall, I always enjoy my experiences at denica's! The vibes are always there, and they are such a convenient place to grab breakfast or brunch.
