Well it's an absolutely gorgeous store with fresh just about everything actually n super polite employees.... Plus super cool AC in this Mojave dessert spell were enduring.... Killed me to pay 5 bucks more for the same item I usually get at Walgreens and or Save Mart or even CVS as I still don't know where in the hell I'm going half the time being a new transplant in Sac. They also have a speedy self check out for added convince which I used n it worked great too! This used to be a great store. I really liked the manager who is a woman and most other checkers. However, the last year I have stepped in only 2 times because the service has gone way down and the manager, who used to be friendly, is no longer. There is a newer vibe here and it's not pleasant. Anymore I would just as soon shop at Safeway than here. It's too bad. read more

It's amazing that Raley's and Bel Air has gotten so big that they won't even carry other products. They carry there own label. Went into Carmichael Bel Air for Sunnyside 1% milk and now it's all Raley's labels. I watched numerous people look and look for the Sunnyside and than they walked away. I will shop Smart and Final or Safeway because of options. read more

Ok, my review begins with the Meat department. The men in the meat deepartment are hands down the reason I do all my shopping at BelAir. Not only do they always have what I am looking for, when I need meat cut or marinated, those men are fast, friendly and efficient! They are the friendliest people I deal with in all my travels in Carmichael. Your clerks are also hands down the friendliest and most efficient in the area. They remember me, and treat me like an old friend when they see me. I love shopping when I have no negative experiences in any area. I NEVER USE THE SELF CHECKOUT. I FEEL THIS PUTS CLERKS OUT OF WORK AND REFUSE TO USE THEM FOR THIS EXACT REASON. I have 5 kids and for years thought the prices were too high at BelAir. I do not think that now. I've gotta say, I LOVE this store! It may not be the cheapest grocery store but it has all those other stores beat! The bakery, deli and produce are what definitely keep me coming back every time. You simply can not beat their quality and the price for the quality! Sure, every once in a while Safeway will have "better deals" but once you get inside you notice that the cheaper price is truly reflected in the quality of the produce. I've also noticed that when we used to shop mostly at Safeway, we'd still have to drive over to Bel Air to get the milk and produce because Safeway's stuff was so below the Bel Air standards. Then we started to notice that all the things that we DID buy at Safeway, on sale, were still cheaper or very close to the same price at Bel Air. After a while we just gave up on Safeway. We only shop here. My sister still gives me a hard time about it. She used to work at Safeway and now mostly only shops at WinCo. I know that she spends less on her groceries but I also see what she's buying and I'm not about to go that route. We may not make a whole lot of money but we take pride in the food we eat and let our produce serve not only as fuel to our bodies but art for our eyes as it sits in our fruit bowl awaiting our meals. You don't get the pretty stuff at WinCo.... Not to mention the customer service! I've always had great service here, there are people that work here that truly take pride in their jobs, and love what they do. You can tell and that makes all the difference in the world. read more

I have a broken foot and had to order eCart today. Talk about convenient! My groceries included produce (even avocados and fruit); and food from the take out (Chinese pork/fried rice). There wasn't ONE thing that wasn't perfect. My "personal shopper" Carmeshia, texted me; helped me and was absolutely customer service-oriented. I have never known what is like to be handicapped, and having eCart is unbelievable and saved me from hobbling around the store in pain and frustration. Unfortunately, I won't want to come into the store anymore since eCart was such a great experience. And parking spaces in the shade, no less! I am truly impressed with this ability to shop. I love this store anyway, and even though I work in Folsom with 2 Raley's and a Bel Air close to my office, this is where I like to come. Thank you so much. read more

this is a bel air not a raley's so things aren't quite as nice, but it's a lot better than shopping at safeway across the street or save-mart down the way. best produce and quality company. the only thing bad about coming here is the quality of the customers who shop here. this side of carmichael is older and kind of crappy and the people here are kind of trashy (IMO.) the last time i came here, someone tied their big dog up to a pillar out front while they shopped. the dog barked the entire time and was partially obstructing the walkway. the dog was nice and all, but didn't want to be left alone. the staff paged the customer to return or animal control would be called and the guy finished shopping before going out to check on the dog. read more

This post is about the bakery department. Kudos to Chrissie! She saved us last Sunday when the bakery originally made an error in a custom cake for my dad's birthday party. Mistakes do get made sometimes, but how a business addresses and rectifies the mistake is what matters. Chrissie researched and acknowledged the error, offered to immediately bake a new cake (no small feat - it was a half sheet cake) and then deliver it to our party site. I can't promise everyone the same outcome because our party site was only a few minutes away, but, the response and service are notable. Thank you for making things right, Bel Air! read more

Awesome. Was here just now. Oliver is great everytime we come here he is always in a good mood. I asked the cashier (paige) if she liked working with him. If you go often the clerks will start to remember your name but either way there is always someone to help you with your bags if you need it and they are sensitive to any special requests you might want. I've been going to this bel air in particular for about 5 years now, and I have only great things to stay about this store. Everyone one in the front end are very kind and so helpful. When I go through the checkout I'm greeted with a smile and a hello! And by the time I'm finished with my shopping, I don't feel like I was talking to lifeless drones. Shopping can be good at this store, except the parking lot that this store maintains is the wildwest as far as theft is concerned. I went into the store parked right in front of parking lot and store exterior cameras. (you'd think there would be evidence)I went in and shopped for 20 minites came out and my $1100.00 lawnmower chained into the back of my truck was gone.(chain cut) The security guard hired by the shopping center owner called 911. The Sacramento Sheriff in their triage of crimes, never came after waiting 90 minutes and two more calls by me. No one ever came(I did see a patrol car drive by doing nothing but patrol). After waiting about a month for a review of the security cameras by Belair and submitting a police report(online) the store manager, Nathan, told me that there was nothing on the cameras. There is one of 2 options: the cameras are dummys or they just did not want to get involved. I choose option 2. I talked to the Center owner Tsokupails, and his cameras with the exact time range and parking stall used in front of his camera and store camera did not allegedly did not have anything on them. If they do not want to help the customers they should close the store. They are business licensees while you are in the store, why not while you shop? Customers have right to be safe in the store and the stores parking lot Several times I have had the groceries stolen out of my car here and the homeless do more patrol of the parking lot than the security guard,(only one guard) spends most of his time trying to chase them out of the parking lot. Bel Air has been in the Sacramento area for years and I have always been a fan. Their service is second to none. I am talking about the people at the cash registers, the staff in the Customer Service area and last but not least the bagger/transportation people. They always have what I need and they always ask if I am finding things. And I am not talking about "did you find it?" after you get up to the checker....I am talking about the staff who is on the floor moving around helping folks. That is so special! The produce is the best! I know I can always find what I want and it will be FRESH! This location is a good one, too. While I am sure Raley's is ok, I prefer the Bel Air stores. read more

Absolutely rude employees. Waited 10 minutes in line at checkout while staff kept running back to the shelves for issues with the guy in front of me. I finally went to self check out, which I had to wait in line for. There was three self checkouts withlights on all occupied. One self check out did not have a light on so my natural assumption would be that the one with the light out doesn't work. After waiting the cashier rudely told me that the self check out works so what am I waiting and I should be using it. How in the hell would I know that?! I had about 15 items, From item number one every item then said assistance was needed the cashier was to get busy visiting with other employees to help. I waited many minutes for the first assistance to get cleared then proceeded to wait minutes for each subsequent item that needed assistance. The cashier never came over to the self checkout stand. She just cleared it from her place upfront. The last time it said assistance needed I waited over two minutes as she visited with other employees I walked up to her and said this is taking way too long could she please help. She again cleared the assistance needed light from her place and yelled at me across all the registers that it's my fault because I put stuff on the machine. I had not put stuff on the machine until I had been sitting there waiting multiple times. But she wanted to ridicule me across other customers. Absolutely the worst staff ever. Stopped in for several items including a cheesecake from the bakery. When I got home I tore off the price label from the plastic container and underneath there was another label...with an expiration date about 3 weeks prior! I called and spoke to the 'manager on duty' as he called himself. I explained the situation and initially he expressed some concern and told me that was actually illegal. He asked me to hold while he spoke to someone in the bakery. He returned to the phone and told me it was okay, it arrives frozen with an expiration. But they never thawed it and put a new date when they actually removed it from the freezer. No offer to come in and exchange it or return it or anything. Frankly, the whole experience was kind of disturbing. I assume it was all legit, but make me question whether I want to ever purchase anything from the bakery..or elsewhere in the store...ever again. read more

Great bakery! I had a large donut/bagel order for an awards ceremony on 11/18. Very helpful staff and donuts were delicious!

We love our Bel Air market on Manzanita Ave! Especially the cheerful voice which announces great bargains, and ends with "toodles"!

I love this location and while the remodel is very nice, I am still getting used to finding all my frequently purchased items! The staff is so courteous and helpful, they almost always have a great selection of produce and meats. The deli/seafood/meat counter staff is especially friendly and bright - Ive bogged them down with huge sandwich orders, eclectic seafood requests and questions and have always been met with great service. I also like their nice selection of flowers and balloons (you can get a bouquet of balloons at the flower counter). read more

Such high quality meats and produce. I know there are less expensive grocery stores but have had issues with meat being less than fresh. Slimy brown meat is not worth the discount at other stores. ma' main spot. used to frequent safeway across the street but lately it just seems to have gone downhill! still get a few basic pantry items there or at savemart but i always get the bulk of my meat/deli/produce pretty much anything that really matters at bel air. Also very clean, always well stocked, great employees, and you gotta love self checkout. the only kinda annoying thing is that parkin always seems to suck haha. I think its a combo of its just a lot smaller and older than the safeway lot across the street, it has a lot more stores inside it and it seems a lot more of our wonderful elderly population prefer bel air! dont hate folks its true! read more
