Highly disappointed in their customer service. I bought a bag of six cheese and the jalapeño bagels from the bakery. I got home and there were only five bagels two of which were plain. The following week I showed the picture to the clerk of the bakery, and he shrugged his shoulders and walked off. I showed the picture of the cashier and he said that there weren't barcodes on the bagel so it's hard to package them ( who barcode bagels). I emailed customer service and the manager seven days ago and have yet to hear back. Bel-Air used to have the greatest customer service. Used to. The combined age of the two clerks I talked to was under 45. Kids these days don't care. When I work grocery in the 70s, we would've replaced a bagels free of charge. I hope management sees this review and reacts to it because they sure didn't to my email

I def like shopping here over their sister store Raley's at times bc of the selection. But it def does beat Safeway with the type of quality items they have. Some of my favorite things from Bel Air is the deli dept. with their salads and combo meals, the bakery and the sale they have on snacks. I came recently and the Triscuit brand was on sale for $2.49 when you buy 2 or more! That's a steal! The only downside at this location was the poor customer experience I encountered in the deli department when the person behind the counter was not helpful with ordering some items. But overall, this is one location I frequent. I'd continue to come here again and I always look for deals on the pastries and salads. Their lines even in the self-check out can just be a little longer than usual.

OMG 5.97 A pound for wald caught cooked crab can you say yumm..I got three crabs cleaned descaled and wrapped up to take home for dinner for under 30.00 dollars say what. Plus this Bel Air always stays fresh and so clean. TThe workers here are always so helpful and the prices are not out of control they may be more than some, but you get what you pay for.. Come get crab before it's all eaten up..Yum yum get you some

The self checkout need to be staggered like Safeway. I personally feel that all 4 stations being utilize at the same time is just too overcrowded. Can't really be 6 feet apart. Perhaps, Bel Air can do some adjustment to that. I came to get the 3.99 salmon fillet... too late, it was noon time, none left. Nonetheless, bought the 2 in a pack, sizeable Alaskan wild caught salmon for $12++. It was delicious. My boyfriend made the pasta, I pan friend the salmon with a tap of olive oil over medium heat for 4 mins on each size, covered with two tap of water to steam it up and crank up the heat a lil during last minute to get the crisp on each side. Cooked all the way but still soft. Nonetheless, this is a great Bel Air to shop at. People are wearing masks and doing their part with social distancing. So that's a plus... Shop here. They have what you need. Oh wait- the whole pineapple is just $1.77 today. Why wouldn't I buy it? :D

2/20/2021: OOOOOooof~WHAT da heck is DAT doin' here????? I saw these sordid products being sold at Bel Air Market located in Fair Oaks CA - - - SOYLENT GREEN . . . Happening NEXT YEAR in 2022!!!! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=N_jGOKYHxaQ https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qyizAHAbPII I was just aghast just staring at the Soylent assorted products: I didn't even want touching the bottles because it was totally creeping me out so horrifically! Soylent was even more creepier adding a Soylent GREEN product bottle to their horrific, sordid assortment; is THIS a JOKE or WOT???!! Oy-EVAY~Seeing these carefully titled products produced in 2021 is egregiously frightful but more importantly, WHAT ARE THE SUCCINCT INGREDIENTS for Soylent, eh? I mean~GEEZ! I'm seriously gacking looking at all those bottles: These Soylent bottles better not consist of human or animal obliterated beings, RIGHT? Geez~Bel Air Market: Ya really gonna sell THAT in the refrigerator section across the way from the sodas, eh????

Trying these out, great deal at $8.99!!

I purchased clearance food items that I later realized -- without even opening them -- were clearly not fresh and not safe to eat. This is especially serious to me because I have children, and I rely on stores to sell food that is safe for families. What makes this worse is that I was told in the store that these products were "safe" and that employees buy them themselves. When I returned to request a refund, one associate initially said it would be accepted. However, the same employee who originally reassured me suddenly refused, became visibly upset, and told me "it's the law" that they cannot take the items back. That statement is misleading -- stores cannot avoid responsibility for selling food that is not safe for consumption. On top of that, during the same visit I was overcharged for other items compared to the posted prices, which added to my frustration and concern about how this business operates. This was not just poor customer service -- it raises serious concerns about food safety and consumer rights. I strongly recommend that others carefully inspect any items before purchasing here and double-check prices at checkout.

FoodMaxx -- The Prices Had Me Confused…read more I'm not too familiar with FoodMaxx and honestly haven't shopped here too many times, so maybe I'm just not familiar with how they do things. I always had the impression that FoodMaxx was supposed to be one of those low-price grocery stores, kinda like WinCo. But walking through this location, I started feeling like the prices were backwards somehow. Some things that are normally expensive were actually pretty cheap, while some things that I would expect to be inexpensive were surprisingly expensive. I'm standing there looking at the shelves like, "Wait... am I reading this right?" For example, Atkins Strong Bars are normally $10+ around here, but they were noticeably cheaper at this location. Definitely not complaining about that one! Then I see a small bottle of Crystal hot sauce for like $3-$4, while the large bottle was $1.99. Again, I'm NOT complaining about the large bottle being cheaper! But it definitely had me questioning the pricing strategy. Overall, the store was fine and I found what I needed. I just expected the prices to be more consistently on the lower end based on what I've heard about FoodMaxx. Maybe I caught some weird pricing on the day I went, or maybe that's just how they roll. I'll probably stop in again and give it another shot. Maybe next time the grocery-price universe will make a little more sense.

I usually only shop when they have a sale, I do see they have $25 & $30 meat boxes, which is a pretty good deal for what you get. The grocery selection is huge and excellent! I love the produce prices. The customer service or lack there of is nothing to write home about, you're better off looking for yourself. The inside of store looks like a warehouse that's about it.

What really stood out to me was how quickly and professionally they handled an unexpected mess when a lady accidentally knocked over an entire stack of hot sauce bottles. It was impressive to see how efficiently they handled it without making the customer feel embarrassed. Great customer service, clean store, and genuinely friendly employees. The team here was on top of things and when I approached the check-out they were actively opening extra registers to take care of the lines forming. The person who helped me was very friendly and I have a recommendation for maple ice cream bars for my next visit!

Ice Blocks, Arden and Watt, the one by Sac State, and the one in Fair Oaks. They all fry them up the same. I pick the bigger pieces because they are just juicier... with that crisp coat. Not too salty. Seasoned great. The Nashville Hot is mild but still has a nice spice-heat. The Fair Oaks Safeway in Dewey doesn't have a Chinese food section. I normally get a side of chow mein to go-with. This time I paired the tenders with hamburger buns/cheese/cucumber/jalapeno: a lemony angel hair pasta and egg salad from the Safeway deli. Oh,and a honey mustard-mayo dip. The deli people are so nice about letting you pick out the pieces you want. The regular price is $9.99/lb. Because it was a $5 Friday we got 6 huge pieces for a little over $7. One of the best deals in town. Mark your calendars and hit up your local Safeway.
