Kristen DeFazio is THE best clerk...always smiling, so efficient & always working hard when I shop at Raley's. She's a gem!

I stop into this Raley's location whenever I'm in the area as it is close to my in law's houses. We stopped in on Sunday to pick up some last minute items for my daughter's birthday party and they had everything we needed. I also dropped off some balloons I bought on Amazon to have blown up and the guy working the Floral sections was super nice and helpful - he even called and asked a couple of follow-up questions which I thought was great customer service. It's always clean and well organized. Produce, meat and seafood sections are always well stocked and fresh. I like their deli section as well - they make great sandwiches to take for a quick lunch or even a picnic. Services is always friendly and helpful as well. We'll be back next time we are in the area! We have been long time customers at this Raley's in Carmichael. My husband and I love this Raleys that is within blocks of our home, always clean and well kept. I would like to share a positive experience that we have had on several occasions with one of the young workers who bags the groceries and takes them out to customers cars. The last time we shopped there and she was delivering the groceries to our car, I caught her name. "Isabella". She is always polite, friendly and helpful when bagging our grocery's and assist's us to our car with a smile. We are of an older generation and just do not see this kind of service in many businesses. Small acts of kindness such as this really make a difference and makes customers want to return. I have been shopping at this location for many years now. My husband and I are frequent flyers. Isabela at Raley's is impeccable. She is always kind, warm, and genuinely friendly. Her smile lights up the store and she consistently goes above and beyond. We had a question last week about a condiment and she was right on top of things. My family has shopped at this supermarket since it was first opened. I have never had a bad experience until recently. Last week I bought a pack of chicken thighs. When I got in my car I started smelling a very foul smell. I got home, and realized it was the chicken thighs that were rotten. I had to go back, and return them (frustrating). Today, I bought a bag a red potato's. When I started cutting into them, about 50 percent were rotten. Again, had to go back and return them. I have also noticed recently that the shelves are not fully stocked, or they are out of essential things. Very disappointing! read more

They had no human checkers, I asked someone if they were open, he said no. I won't go to a grocery store that does not have human checkers.

I love Raley's. I've been going there since high school to get various items. I've found them to have excellent avocados and produce in general and also to have a good selection of more authentic items you wouldn't find at other stores. The staff is always very friendly and helpful as well. They always know how to find what you are looking for. I also love their deli and food area. It's perfect for picking up a tasty sandwich for a picnic or river day in the summer time. Most of all I just appreciate the variety that Raley's offers. They have a pharmacy, hot food, a Pete's coffee located inside and a huge selection of food items as well as choices within each item. I love running into this rally's for a quick grocery fix or even for drinks on my way to work. really easy to find their coffee and juice area. some associates are amazing, others not so much but I think the good ones make up for the really bad ones. always plenty of carts available and always kept clean. read more

I don't shop at Raley's as much as I used to because food prices are sky-high everywhere. But today, I had to pop in for a few items to put together a graduation gift. I couldn't find what I needed from one cashier, but then May (a super awesome employee) came to my rescue! She was so sweet and incredibly helpful, giving me exactly what I needed along with some great tips for my gift. Thank you, May!! You make those higher prices totally worth it! read more

I thought the Raleys down the street from me was nice, but this one blew it out of the water! It's so beautiful, so clean and well stocked. It was my first time in this location and I think it was pretty obvious because I was almost immediately approached by an employee asking if I needed any assistance finding anything. As if that isn't embarrassing enough, once I got to the area I was looking for, I still wandered around in circles deciding on a flavor of dip. After circling the area a few times, I was again approached by an employee asking if I needed any help. I replied that I was just trying to decide. Again, super embarrassing but they have attentive employees who are willing to help. I used the self check out station which was fast and easy. AND they accept Apple pay. Woohoo! read more

I just spent 25 minutes and more trying to get a phone answered at this Raley's . Trying to call Deli Dept . After all that time connected with the operator . Who connected me to the Deli department . After 20 rings still no answer . The operator said she would send someone there and tell them to answer the phone . I waited and called again . B No answer 15 rings . Called the operator and she connected me again to Dairy . Guess what ? No answer . I spent one hour with my phone calls to Raley . This time I called Safeway Deli who answered immediately . They have the product I am looking for . I am going to Safeway and probably never again to Raley ! read more

The deli counter has been a problem for some time, but today about 4pm was the worst! This obviously, really stoned girl was working the counter at absolutely glacial speed. At one point there were five of us standing around, waiting. I could see four other Raley's employees, all in the immediate vicinity, and nobody lifting a finger to help with this issue. They need to pay better for working the deli counter, so they can get and keep competent people there. In fact, it seems like it is the dumping ground where they send the incurable screwups as punishment. read more

One of the doors to the cheese cooler has been missing a handle for over a month. nobody in this store seems to care. I have complained about it regularly but it's treated in the same manner as their unsecured card readers that flop when I slide my card! They don't care! read more

My boyfriend and I stopped by Saturday night to pick up a sweet treat for our mom's birthday. Initially it took awhile for us to get some help in the bakery department because no one was there, but luckily an employee walked by and had someone come over to help. The young lady was super friendly and helpful. We ended up grabbing 4 of their mini desserts for $10!! Such a good deal. We had a chocolate lava cake, classic cheesecake w/ chocolate covered strawberry, a chocolate mouse and tiramisu. They had so many other options it was hard to pick. After picking up our desserts we were in search for candles and ran into John. He was so sweet and helpful as well. He walked us right up to the candles, gave his suggestions then asked if we needed anything else. This Raley's is much newer than the one near my house and it's HUGE. I could spend hours here shopping. They have an extensive variety of cooked foods in their deli/bakery area and everything is well stocked. I'll probably stop by on my way to Sac State for lunch one day since they have so many options. Thanks again for the help John! It took them 30 minutes to deliver 4 items I purchased earlier today with a pick up time 7-8 pm I arrived and checked in at 723 pm. They said they were short staffed but I never waited this long even in 2020. I will never shop there again! No stars by have to give at least 1 read more

I've been shopping at this Raley's for over nearly 10 years. It has a majority of what I need, including a variety of options for speciality products. My favorite attribute is the bakery - from boxed bakery cookies to custom cake orders, it is a win. The quality, the price, and the convenience is hard to beat. It's the grocery store on my way to work and my way to go home. It's pretty much like the typical Raleys. Very clean and well kept. The customer service is always on point. Just like all the other Raleys. I really like coming here because it's convenient for me. If I need a last minute pick up for pot luck, it's the first place for me to go to. If I need something for dinner to bring on the way home, I go right to Raleys. I also bought a last minute cake to bring to work. Their cakes are high quality and very delicious. Used Ecart for pick up and got home to discover chicken ooze all over my groceries. Contaminated produce, packages, and it even leaked through the bag and was on my floor. No precautions taken to make sure this didn't happen, just thrown in between all items without its own bag. Very gross and a big task to clean up all the contamination. Not recommended. read more

Service is always on point and their rewards program make it really easy to come back again and again for our grocery needs. Sure Safeway is across the street and we go there from time to time, but I prefer Bel Air/Raleys selection of meats and produce. On our last visit, the rewards program saved us a whopping 29% off our total bill. Score! Thanks for the quality products and A-1 service guys. read more

We've been loyal customers of this store since we moved to Carmichael 10 years ago, but no longer. This store used to carry a great selection of products from national name brands to their own label. Within the past year, the selection of items at this store has dwindled leaving few if any option but to buy their label. I remember reading an article saying Raley's has done studies and determined they want to give the people less expensive but more nutritious products which would be under their label. Well, it sucks. I did a price per ounce comparison between their brand of almonds versus the other two brands available...it cost quite a bit more money. And, we can no longer get certain canned and dry goods we've used for decades. We will be shopping across the street at Safeway from now one. read more

This place's prices are definitely not competitive, but the deli and the bakery are amazing. I love the deli. Their sandwiches are always amazing. The staff is always nice to me, I've never had some of these negative experiences that I see on here. I think people are too sensitive to someone looking at them for more than a second. People have paper skin, and feel the need to voice their " I had to wait forever to check out Once in my 80 year old life" even though they've had a million good experiences. Bottom line: Location is excellent, Staff is nice, axillary assets are good, buy a sandwich or cake from the deli/bakery, but grocery prices are too hiked up. Don't bulk shop here, but maybe stop by for a few quick things. You're getting taken for at least 30% more than what should be charged. read more

I have been shopping at this store for most of the time it has been in existence minus the few years I was out of the area. Most of the time I have had zero issues with the store or the employees, There has however been a few times in recent history where a few of the employees have passed judgment upon me but they were still polite and courteous while whispering to their fellow checker as if I could not hear them. I really hate having to write this review, but I am so disappointed in Raley's (specifically this location). Ok, I know a strike is going on at the moment, and wanted to drive by and see how it looked since I used to shop at this location a lot. I was so disappointed to find that Raley's had FIVE security guards in front. One of the security guards was getting in one of the strikers' face and cussing at him. How unprofessional! The strikers were Raley's employees...still telling people to have a good day, and one of the security guards was out there harassing these people. Raley's has brought these filthy people to their stores, and I don't think that spitting in the parking lot and starting fights is something I want when I walk in and out of the store (especially with Raley's prices!). This is not the family company that I've known and loved through the years. I hope they can get their shit together soon! read more
