The self checkout need to be staggered like Safeway. I personally feel that all 4 stations being utilize at the same time is just too overcrowded. Can't really be 6 feet apart. Perhaps, Bel Air can do some adjustment to that. I came to get the 3.99 salmon fillet... too late, it was noon time, none left. Nonetheless, bought the 2 in a pack, sizeable Alaskan wild caught salmon for $12++. It was delicious. My boyfriend made the pasta, I pan friend the salmon with a tap of olive oil over medium heat for 4 mins on each size, covered with two tap of water to steam it up and crank up the heat a lil during last minute to get the crisp on each side. Cooked all the way but still soft. Nonetheless, this is a great Bel Air to shop at. People are wearing masks and doing their part with social distancing. So that's a plus... Shop here. They have what you need. Oh wait- the whole pineapple is just $1.77 today. Why wouldn't I buy it? :D

2/20/2021: OOOOOooof~WHAT da heck is DAT doin' here????? I saw these sordid products being sold at Bel Air Market located in Fair Oaks CA - - - SOYLENT GREEN . . . Happening NEXT YEAR in 2022!!!! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=N_jGOKYHxaQ https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qyizAHAbPII I was just aghast just staring at the Soylent assorted products: I didn't even want touching the bottles because it was totally creeping me out so horrifically! Soylent was even more creepier adding a Soylent GREEN product bottle to their horrific, sordid assortment; is THIS a JOKE or WOT???!! Oy-EVAY~Seeing these carefully titled products produced in 2021 is egregiously frightful but more importantly, WHAT ARE THE SUCCINCT INGREDIENTS for Soylent, eh? I mean~GEEZ! I'm seriously gacking looking at all those bottles: These Soylent bottles better not consist of human or animal obliterated beings, RIGHT? Geez~Bel Air Market: Ya really gonna sell THAT in the refrigerator section across the way from the sodas, eh????

The young man in the deli has the best personality, excellent customer service and makes a great sandwich! :)

Trying these out, great deal at $8.99!!

When I walked in, the lady at the counter greeted me in the most unique way possible: by staring at me in silence until I made it to the register. Eventually, I got a menu and ordered the Turkey Chipotle and Chicken Pesto Club. I have to give credit where it's due--the sandwiches were delicious. The Chicken Pesto Club was packed with flavor, the marinated chicken was juicy, and the bacon tied everything together perfectly. The Turkey Chipotle was so good I went back for the second half later. That's when I got an unexpected extra ingredient: a long hair in my sandwich. Nothing kills a craving faster than that. As someone who works in the food industry, that's a pretty big miss and instantly ruined my appetite. Cookie? Mac salad? Straight to the trash. The food was honestly great, but finding a hair in my sandwich definitely took some shine off the "best sandwiches in Carmichael" title.

Has that feeling.. ya know?!? Service was fast and friendly, everything was super fresh, made to order and solid portions. I got the village veggie, with no cream cheese, but thinking back.. that would probably even make the sandwich more epic, it hit all the right spots. It was flavorful and delivered very well. - my buddy got some kind of chicken sandwich that he said was amazing as well. I also got a coffee and that was tasty, they use Java City, nothing special in my eyes, but I get it. It's a longtime staple. - I didn't even get to touch the desserts this time!!, that will be my mission next visit, along with trying something else... from roaming local roosters to just a really beautiful hangout, definitely this place is worth checking out. As someone who is bipolar and been homeless before, I always pass along my leftovers to one of the homeless that hangs out in the park. I came up to him today with a cup of tea, and he asked if I could get him a cup of coffee. I said sure, it's 2 dollars that I can spend on someone in a similar situation that I have been in myself before. I came out with a cup of coffee for him, he was standing by the bar down the street. He requested milk and sugar. I didn't want to touch the cup he was holding so I said okay. The girl at the register was happy to give me an extra cup for milk and sugar. I filled it and was cornered when I was exiting. She was fuming, flustered saying that refills aren't free. How dare I take free refills from the shop before. I apologetically expressed I can pay for a second cup of coffee. She didn't back down. She verbally berated me in front of EVERYONE and it was an awful experience. I've been homeless myself but I've never looked it. This is unacceptable behavior and very ableist. I will still come by, but I wanted to warn others that this place is very discriminatory against the disabled homeless population and I do not want to be a part of this kind of energy.

The restaurant sign is hard to miss, and they have a good amount of parking available. The inside is decked out in old memorabilia, posters, and racing signage and it has an old school feel. You can order to-go, like I did, at the counter or get a table and enjoy a seated experience. The people working here are friendly and when I let them know it was my first time they were happy to answer questions. I ended up ordering the Pepper Steak sandwich, the Italian Cold Cuts sandwich, a pepperoni pizza, and a side of mac salad. The pizza is a simple one, but had plenty of cheese and is perfect if you're craving it. The medium size they offer is perfect for sharing and could easily feed 2-3 people on its own. The pepper steak sandwich is one of the items they're known for and after taking a couple bites I could see why. The mixture of cooked meat, onion, and peppers along with the fresh bread, tomatoes and seasoning is so flavorful. The sauce soaks into the bread to make each bite delicious. The Italian Cold Cut was very unique. I had heard it's a favorite, but I didn't expect something as out of the ordinary. There's laters of meat and cheese on the bread l, and then there is a sweet pickle relish (like you'd put on a hotdog) and then plenty of chopped tomato and onion and sub sauce. The sweetness of the relish through me off, but works with the sandwich. Something interesting about both sandwiches is that they didn't have sandwich toppings like lettuce that wouldn't rewarm well. The chopped tomatoes and onion are great cold, but if you decide to reheat your sandwich they're still great. I don't know if this was the plan but it worked out well. The portion sizes on everything were also fair for the price, and the food was filling. I'm excited to visit again to explore more of the menu, including their meatball sub, pastrami, and cannoli.
