Do not use BEK Moving. Also do not use them for packing. The packing they did was so terrible that when their BEK colleagues came to move me, they couldn't believe what an awful job they did. They did not listen to my instructions and they brought tons of boxes to my new apartment that I asked them not to bring. They did not label the boxes well so I do not know what is in them. They said they were taking a 45 minute break and it turned into a 1.5 hour break. They were nice and worked hard, but were inexperienced and mostly kids in their mid-20s. They did such a poor job packing and moving that I had to call another packer and mover and pay another $1000 to have them complete the job. So very maddening! read more

They have great personalities, worked efficiently, and work really well when problems arise!! My bed was a pain because of how it was setup originally but they worked it out! Way too many questions asked by customer service for an estimate. After all time spend for questions, it turned out a totally overpriced estimate. Do not recommend. Reply to business owner: you can simply give me hourly estimate and travel charge. Already said it's a small condo. I spent time to list all the furnitures and all I got is more questions such as top of each table? It doesn't impact your estimate at all. You don't charge by item, you charge by hour. And I'm pretty flexible I don't understand why your assistant could simply give a 3 hour quote and save my time to respond 3 emails, answering calls, taking pictures of each furnitures, and finally give me an estimate that is still hourly charge plus travel charge. And you said I planned to give you 1 star review from beginning? Funny Update2: Owner sent an email to explain about how professional they are. I'm updating rating from 1 to 4 stars. One is definitely too low. But the process of gathering info could definitely be more straightforward and simplified. read more

The folks at BEK were great to work with for our out-of-state move. They're obviously very busy but were very responsive, able to make the dates we needed, and were one of the more competitive bids we received. The actual move was great- They showed up on time with a crew of 4 guys (Blake, Terrell, Dalton, and Miller) with a lot of energy and hustle to get our things loaded onto the truck (We did our own packing). They were communicative throughout and took great care not to damage our things. On the unloading side, Terrell and Dalton were great with the same hustle and care as loading (even carrying a stupidly heavy couch up 4 flights because it wouldn't fit in the elevator). We had an excellent experience with BEK Moving. They were accommodating and professional at all times, from the initial phone call to the end of our move. Blake and the other crew members were always polite, explained what they were doing, and took great care moving our stuff. They provided overnight storage so that we could empty one house and move in after closing on the new house and finished in about 80% of the time that they initially quoted me, saving me money. They were very accommodating; however, my bar was damaged, and the mover Dominic tried to cover it up and lie about it being there beforehand and stated he had a picture. When i asked to see the picture it just so happened it wasn't clear. So, they took it back to their warehouse and stated i would hear from someone the following day. I never did. Days later i come home from work and the bar is next to my door. The tear was covered with a substance unknown to me that rubbed off. So, I'm stuck with a damaged bar that I can no longer use, unless i pay to get the leather repaired. PLEASE USE A MORE REPUTABLE COMPANY. Integrity goes a long way!!! read more

I'm happy to give 5 stars to this business. This is the forth time I've used BEK Moving and they continue to meet and exceed my expectations. They are the ONLY company I call...and anyone who knows me knows that I always shop for the best price...but for something as important as moving my family to our new home, you HAVE to choose someone you can trust, who will show up when they say they will, and who will take care of the stuff they are moving. I talked to Erick and he scheduled our move and contacted me a couple of times to make sure everything was on schedule and things for us to do beforehand. On the day of the move the guys were on time. Justin, Roman, and Nico are great. They were very careful with all of our furniture and possessions. Well yet another move! The level of professionalism started right out of the gate with my quote, great attention to detail and overall idea of what was involved with the move. The guys showed up on time and were very prepared to get to work. They were helpful, happy and thankfully no one seemed hungover (which has happened to me before). Very good at following directions and handling the move with great care. I had stressed that it was far more important to have no damage than to be fast, they got it and did an amazing job!! And in the end when we were smashed up against a time deadline to get it all into the storage shed they did HUSTLE and were super fast to get the garage emptied and everything into storage and we literally walked out of the storage all done at 6:29 pm. Best movers ever! I had several extremely fragile items that I have collected over the years. They are truly irreplaceable. These young men took great care and caution with my belongings! Nothing was damaged, scratched or broken. In addition, I have a grand piano they meticulously dismantled and moved to my new location. I can only give them praise! I had previously used another moving company in the past but their yelp review a had really dropped so I booked BEK based on their 5 star rating. They were very friendly in the booking process and were so patient with me as our house was delayed getting finished. We originally asked to move our date back a few weeks but then we ended up closing on time for our original date and they were able to accommodate us with less than a week's notice that we wanted our original date back. I booked four movers for a 4-5 hour move for our entire house to move six blocks. They were punctual and professional. Only three arrived for the first hour which I was a little concerned but I was never overcharged. They calculated per hour depending on how many I had during that time to make sure I got a fair price. Our antique dresser in the basement gave them a lot of trouble getting up the stairs but they were determine, never complained about the issue. They got it upstairs without damaging it as the first moving company that brought it down did. They finished in 5.5-6 hours (2 hours with 3 guys instead of 4) and I didn't have a single complaint about my furniture being damaged or even a wall scuff. We hired BEK Moving to help load up a UHaul a few days before Thanksgiving. We had a narrow time frame for our move and some hiccups on moving day: the UHaul took longer than expected to checkout, and the service elevator in our building was down, so we were trying to grab the other elevator every chance we could. Necho & Dolan stayed in close communication with us about our start time and were patient, professional, and fast throughout. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. While BEK is pricey, I think it was ultimately worth it given the quality of the experience and need to pack up some delicate furniture. read more

3 men and zero masks for my office move yesterday . In the middle of the pandemic and the Midwest with high amount of cases spiking . Both my moving business sites are clearly marked w signs that wearing masks is mandated in the buildings. Wearing masks inside public spaces is mandated in St Louis county, no social distancing . . I wore a mask the entire time. The owner now takes no responsibility, even citing anti science reasoning. Via email. My not asserting myself that they must wear masks is not a valid reason why they did not. Do not use them! I was told that the crew would take apart furniture and mounts and that the same crew would reassemble. The 2nd crew was not the same and could not put our bed back together. There was also missing hardware, including a tv cord. The movers from my old house told my husband the TVs would not fit in the truck and put them in the back of his truck. One of them had a cracked screen, which I didn't discover until almost 2 weeks after because I didn't have a cord to plug it in. When I called to report the missing hardware I was told I would get a call back and never did. When I called back about the TV and to let them know I never heard back about the hardware, I was promised a call back. I called back two days later and Blake said they would not even take partial responsibility for the TV. I had placed TV boxes for them to be transported in and they wrapped them in a blanket instead. I don't know where the tv boxes ended up. Blake was also rude and basically hung up on me. I would not use them. During the move from our previous house, my husband said he spent more time doing a walk through every 20 minutes than being able to do essential things for the move. read more

Wow! I honestly cannot say enough good things about these guys. We called 5 days before we needed them and they were able to fit us in for a Noon start time, a little later then preferred but beggars can't be choosers. Morning of, they called and said they got finished with their other job early and could arrive as early as 10:30 if we wanted them to. Absolutely! Our move was not going to be an easy one so the earlier the better. We had a total of 3 pick up spots and then a drop off at one final destination. These three guys hauled ass on this 90 degree day and were polite and funny to add to their professional service. I had a 1,000 pound armoire (not really 1,000 but I am sure it felt like it) that I wanted on the second level of our house. We weren't even sure it would make the turn up the stairs but they said they would try. Well they tried and while they may have almost died trying it worked! Honestly could not be happier with this company and their service. I could go on but who really wants to read that long of a review anyway. Just give them a call! we have several large antique pieces, weighing hundreds of pounds, but delicate and difficult to move properly. we were consigning these pieces and the consigner gave us blake's name along with several other movers. he was the only one who answered his phone on the first ring and then followed up with an estimate as soon as i sent pictures. they gave me a three hour window and called before they showed up. blake and his crew were highly professional, friendly and knew exactly how to move things. i think people think of moving is just showing up with some strong guys and going but there is definitely an art to moving fragile, heavy things. they were able to get everything packed and moved into their truck. we were their last move of the day and they still had tons of energy and were just so nice. in this day and age where it has become so difficult to get quality at any price, bek moving provides excellent service at a good value. every business should be run this way. cheers to blake and his staff!! read more
