Came here for lunch and got a quick reminder why I don't really like Chinese buffets. While there were a few items that were good (spring roll, "shrimp delight", mass produced desserts), most of the items were cold and overcooked. No sushi. There were signs posted all over, stating that you will be charged if you "waste food". I understand that they don't want food waste but it made the vibe even more tacky. The place was really quiet and the 5 tables of patrons were all sitting back to back so it's like we were all in each other's business. We went on a Thursday afternoon for lunch and won't be back. The buffet offers limited choices and at least half of those were dried out. The potstickers were so dry that they felt and sounded like hockey pucks. It was difficult to bite into them and they were very chewy. Ordered take out and wasn't expecting much. Food was mediocre at best. Dumplings we're really small. The dipping sauce was excellent though. I was a fan of it when they had their store front in Tonawanda. Pork lo mein was good. Didn't care for their wonton soul. No flavor at all. Pork fried rice was decent. Sesame chicken was drowned in the sauce. Lost all the crispyness to the fry. Can't mess up the sweet donut. I am froim NYC. I have eaten at chinese buffets since child hood not only where I lived but in Chinatown NYC in LA, IN San Fran and in the south( which I don't even give 1 star. I will say that this buffet is in the yop 10 or 15 that I have eaten at. I have tried several buffets in western New york ANd will say this one is the best. May not have as many options as some of them but the food is the closest to NYC Chinatown that I have experienced in WNY. Food is always Hot and available for most of the time except when they started switching from lunch to dinner. Normally get chicken and brocolli, pork lo mein, and the smaller bbq spareribs. Good stuff. Taste fresh and not generic as some other local spots do it. They don't waste food so they are very good about keeping it fresh and only make what they need and use your help to tell them what they're low on so just ask. Ok, this is the typical American Chinese buffet you'd find in most urban and suburban, as well as touristy cities such as Glendale, Orlando or Falls Church. So, having said this, I am basing my rating and review as compared to similar American-Chinese buffet joints. As such, I thought this place was very nice--clean, bright, friendly wait staff, and as expected--American-Chinese food (not real Chinese, mind you!). For what you pay, I thought the selection was quite generous, tasty and palatable, and expected for a place like this. SO.... if you are expecting a Peking Gourmet or a PF Chang's, this is not the place for you (I thought the other reviews were a little too ridiculous in their expectations!). BUT... if you're expecting the typical cheap, American-Chinese buffet place that serves the food that you;d expect (Gen Tso's, chicken coconut, salmon slathered in mayo, mushroom buttons with stuffing, chicken skewers, beef with broccoli, etc. y'know, the usual!), then this is the place for you! If you've ever been to any Chinese Buffet you know you're rolling the dice in regards to a good experience. Sometimes every single thing about your trip meets or exceeds your expectations, while other times things fall flat. Today I had a bit of a middle road experience, but noticed some new things that help add to the experience. First impressions/ service: when you first enter you're greeted by an employee at the front desk - if you meet the young lady who seems to be there all the time, you're in luck. I'm afraid I don't know her name, but she is exceptionally friendly and is great at remembering customers (once I left a pair of gloves behind and she brought them to my table when I came back months later. Very impressive). The dining area is also relaxing for a casual environment, with Chinese style decorations hanging from the walls and high ceilings. The front wall of the restaurant is almost entirely windows, so there is a lot of natural light coming in to make everything look bright and appealing. The staff keeps the tables clean and takes notice of when your plates or cups are empty. They also wipe down the counters near the food trays pretty frequently. The men's bathroom wasn't really spectacular - single occupancy and not all that clean. The Food: it's hard to judge the food at a buffet if you ask me. On one hand, if you know what you're getting into and craving specifically that, then everything works out. On the other, of you expect to find more than one or two items to write home about then you'll likely be out of luck. For me, I enjoy the food. Across the 6 Buffet tables here you'll find 4 that have main lunch/dinner dishes, one with desserts and some salad ingredients, and one with sushi and some other cold options. Some staples like fried rice, lo mein and sweet and sour chicken are easy to pass on here, but some of the more unique dishes are worth trying (i'm looking at you Salt and Pepper chicken). They recently started preparing hot crab legs (in the past they'd be chilled in ice) and moved some of their pastries from the dessert counter to a shelf above their ice cream bin. One dish I specifically like is the Crab Rangoon that is served in little bite sized pastry pockets instead of the standard triangle shape. The bottom line is, this restaurant will help cure any cravings you might have so long as you know what you like from here. If you know you like 5 things and eat those you'll have a great time. If you're trying a little bit of everything then you likely won't be blown away. However you approach it, I think it's worth a try either way. Nice decor, clean tables and attentive staff. Great variety, food could be rotated a bit more to ensure heat in dishes that needed to be kept hot. Our drinks were not filled with any type of frequency. So, four stars. Good food. Crab Rangoons were off the hook. Finished up with a beautifully cooked sugar donut. They would not honor my coupon and were rude when I asked why. Their prices are outrageous for the quality of the food and the service. As far as Chinese Buffets go, this is our probably favorite in the area. It's in the Budwey's Plaza in NT, kind of off the beaten path, so it's never been that busy when we've been there. The food is pretty standard for a china buffet, a decent variety. One time I tried to get a bite of ever kind of chicken on my plate, and I think it was around a dozen different options. It's buffet food, so it's never quite hot enough, and sometimes if it's been out for a while it's some level of dried out, again, typical of just about any buffet. But still good flavors to stuff yourself with on occasion. I like the hot apple pie turnover that's a staple there, too. We think it's the owner who is regularly working the buffet and checking on tables, and she is always super friendly and attentive. Dinner prices are high, but comparable to other buffets. Lunch buffet is your best deal, of course. And watch for coupons in The Clipper. read more

I decided to try a few new things. The honey chicken was my favorite "new" food and one that I will definitely go back for next time. You really have to watch your portions when you load your plate. There are so many foods to choose from that you have to get just a few bites of each so that you can ensure that you have enough room for it all! I was happy with how this restaurant presents its ice cream. Instead of having several large tubs open for guests to scoop out of, it is ready to go in single-serve sealed packages. No and no. We went to this place when they opened a year or so ago, it was great, lots of seafood and very attentive staff. Went yesterday with my parents, and it has obviously changed hands, different outfits, only one person clearing, offering refills. We weant at 2 pm, but were charged Sunday / Holiday price, 12.95, ' My biggest objection is the temperature of the food. They offered a bunch of seafood options, which is great, BUT, there is no way they are being offered hot enough to be safe. Cold seafood delight, cold battered shrimp, etc. THEN I got home and metioned this to my ex, she says, yeah, my Mom got sick there, we aren't going there any more. I came here yesterday for the first (and last) time with my boyfriend after a long day of canoeing. We were hungry. When we walked in I had high hopes. It was clean, well lit, and there were a lot of people there. I grabbed a plate and went to the first row of the buffet. All meat. Next row. All meat. Next row. Some sushi but none without meat. Next row...vegetable fried rice and vegetable lo mein. I resigned myself to a dinner of empty carbohydrates and made my way back to our table, with a quick stop at the "salad bar" (what a joke) for some cantaloupe. The rice was gross, the lo mein was decent, the cantaloupe was good and fresh. I went back up to look again, thinking, I must have missed the mixed vegetables and veggie spring rolls but nope, nada. I added a heaping spoonful of string beans in some sort of sauce and more lo mein to my plate. I sat back down only to immediately lose my appetite at the miniature octopus my boyfriend had brought back to the table to show me. What. The. Heck. I couldn't eat another bite. It looks like they have a lot of options but 1 section is dessert and salad, one is all seafood, another one is all american type food (pizza and wings) so really only 2 have actual Chinese foods. I have been to smaller Chinese restaurants with more options. Some of their foods were over cooked and they didn't refill the rice the whole time I was there. I went there to get Chinese food not other foods I can get at other places. Their general tso chicken was very dry and no sauce and the sesame chicken tasted just like it no difference. If I was in the mood for Chinese I would drive farther to get better variety and better tasting food. For the price I should have gotten better. They'll get two stars from me as they're not the worst I've ever had, and places that double as a buffet often seem to have slightly different takeout than the buffet quality, and I've never been here before. I got the General Tso, crab lo mein, and crab Rangoon. The Rangoon are small, which was fine, a bit overly sweet, and very saturated in grease - maybe the oil wasn't hot enough. The lo mein was very soggy, like it was way overcooked, which made the "crab" kind of slimy. The tso was not crispy or solid at all - mushy breading that leads to it congealing into one big pasty mass. Will consider trying the buffet once before changing rating read more

Another Buffet gone downhill! Watch out! I see this business has recently posted some new internet ads showing pictures of good food....but don't be fooled by the pictures. This buffet is an example of a business that was once decent and reasonable but has long since increased prices and quality of food at buffet got bad. Not much selection and they don't refill the buffet trays. They have no sushi because they "ran out of rice" to make it. They over-salted the squid rings on purpose to discourage customers from eating them. Charged us for another 75 cent tea because my companion took a sip of my tea after eating the over-salted squid rings. The business owner had a 10 year old kid working the checkout counter instead of an adult. The buffet is so bad only a few customers come and they are usually elderly locals who probably remember back when this place was actually decent. read more

My friend and I just got yelled at at Beijing Buffet by our server because he thought we weren't leaving a tip. Our bill was $62 and we put $65 in the billfold they leave, he picked it up and said do you want change, she said no keep that. He replies with $3 tip? She said yes keep that. He says, that's it just $3? To which she replies excuse me? He said you're only leaving me a $3 tip? She said no we'll leave more on the table when we leave. He said " I'll be watching". She told him we would like to see the manager. He said fuck you and walked away. My friend went to get the manager herself who also was rude and said he had to leave at 9 so basically he's justified in asking for his tip. needless to say, we won't be coming back. read more

The quality is what you expect from a Chinese buffet. Although some of the buffet areas might look sparse, it's only because they don't like to keep them overfilled so they get dried out and gross. Instead, they are constantly refilling the different containers, just with smaller amounts at a time. I appreciate it, actually, as the food is always hot, crispy, and tastes fresh. They have a decent soup and salad bar, chilled crab legs and sushi on another bar. Egg rolls, frog legs, shrimp, mussels, clams, sesame, pepper & Gen Tso chicken, beef & chicken w/ broccoli, mac & cheese, white & veg fried rice, noodles, green beans and more. The seasoning of the food in general is good. They also had kimchi on the salad bar which I had never tried before. It tasted good to me although I'd never had it before so I can't compare to anything. The staff was attentive and friendly. Our drinks were never empty. You can also order off the menu or call in for take out off the menu. For my wife and I the bill was under $30 with tax. The location is away from the traffic of the Boulevard but still easy to get to off the Twin Cities highway or Erie Ave (close to the Walmart). Plenty of parking.
