Really bad experience from the start to end. They are very messy company. choose different company if your want to do ABA

This review is for the OC-South region. Savannah has gone above and beyond to support my child and implement a care plan that is best for her. My daughter needed ABA services in her private Montessori school. Over the last two years we have had a few different BCBAs and BTs on our case that all had to go through additional background checks just to enter the school and work with my daughter. They then spent many hours in discussions with myself and the school staff to craft a therapy plan that would work in the school environment, which had a significant numbers of rules that were particularly challenging for ABA. The staff at Behavior Frontiers never gave up, never phoned it in, and always gave everything they had to ensure my daughter was getting what she needed. They gave professional advice whilst also letting me feel like I can make whatever choice is right for my daughter. That is a fine line to walk sometimes but I always appreciated the honest feedback. There were a handful of times when I didn't think a BT was the right fit with my daughter or I didn't like a specific technique being used and their BCBAs never made me explain why, they simply made the necessary change and asked for feedback if I was comfortable. The value that Behavior Frontiers has contributed to my life cannot be calculated. My daughter has improved with so many of her goals and my whole extended family now knows how to communicated with her on her terms. AVOID this place. Huge turnover rate not only with BTs but with scheduling staff. In the world of ABA, high turn over rates is expected. But this place is a nightmare due to poor communication between staff members and scheduling department is incompetent. I have to call multiple times just to make sure our session location was changed or to cancel a session. There's been countless time the changes don't go through even after calling many times about the same scheduling issue! They're working with special needs family and we're very busy but they can't even get scheduling right the first time. read more

I am writing this review to help other families make informed decisions when selecting an ABA provider for their children. Our family worked with Behavior Frontiers from 2017 through early 2025, following my son's Autism diagnosis at age two. In the early years, we had a largely positive experience. We were fortunate to have dedicated and effective Behavioral Therapists (BTs), supportive case managers, and an exceptional Clinical Supervisor, BCBA-Sarah Yanez, on the West Side of Orange County. Despite the usual scheduling challenges common in behavioral health services, the staff during this period were professional, responsive, and deeply committed to my son's progress. Unfortunately, beginning in 2020, the quality of service declined significantly. After Ms. Yanez's promotion, the West Side leadership team changed, and the replacement personnel lacked the qualifications and professionalism needed for such a critical role. Since 2022, consistent staffing issues have made it nearly impossible to maintain adequate therapy hours. Additionally, case management support became minimal, with an increasing reliance on telehealth supervision even after in-person services had resumed. This shift greatly impacted service quality. Observational insight is vital in ABA therapy, and remote supervision cannot replace the value of in-person interaction with both the client and the BTs. Rather than improving, the structure now prioritizes volume and efficiency over individualized, quality care--seemingly at the expense of staff morale and family outcomes. I also noticed high turnover among BTs and case managers, which is understandable given the lack of support and overwhelming caseloads. In some instances, BTs expressed to me directly that they felt unsupported, and I often became the communication bridge between staff and management. In one case, after asking a case manager to be more present and supportive of the BT team, she removed herself from our case entirely. I reported my concerns multiple times, including to the West Area Supervisor- Shandori Harris, but promises made in meetings--both with Easter Seals and with the ABA coordination team--were not fulfilled. Eventually, I reached out to the company's leadership. Ms. Colleen, the Vice President, responded and made a genuine effort to improve our situation. Thanks to her intervention, we briefly received better support from a new case manager. However, this person also resigned due to workload demands. The constant instability and lack of accountability made it clear that the company was no longer equipped to support my son's therapeutic needs. From late 2024 through early 2025, I attempted to work with the Clinical Area Director, Mr. Matt Heininger. He initially promised to address our ongoing concerns, but follow-up never materialized. Throughout this time, communication with both BTs and parents was disorganized and inconsistent. Staff often learned about changes to my son's services through me, not management. It became apparent that the company was more focused on insurance reimbursement than the quality or consistency of care. After much reflection and effort to resolve these issues internally, I made the decision to transfer to a different provider. My intention in sharing this review is not to discredit the many hardworking professionals who are part of the ABA community, but to encourage families to advocate fiercely for their children. If a provider cannot meet your child's needs, or refuses to take your concerns seriously, it's okay to seek better support elsewhere. Quality services do exist--but families must not be afraid to speak up and demand them. read more

Update to my previous review: Savannah (BCBA) matched us with the most wonderful BT! She is new to the field, but so kind, patient, and extremely competent. We continue to have sessions with another BT one day a week, who is also a great match. I'm so glad we stuck around because now my son's team is awesome and he's making progress. Long time client with 3 kids under their service. Collectively almost 10 years. Used to be amazing. It's not the same anymore. Very high turnover, lots of staff vacations, no fill ins. Not all CM are the same. First was excellent. Second more inexperienced. Promised a lot did exact opposite of what we discussed. Team made huge messes, pestered me every 5-10 minutes about nothing, failed to prevent injuries, failed to document. When I went to get the documentation for the doctor for med evaluation the team failed to report any of the daily violent behaviors. Made me look like a liar. Team claimed they would fix that next report again failed. Now my kids have been denied multiple other related services based on these crap reports. Multiple. Very hard to undue that. When you file a grievance with your plan or the state, they retaliate with false accusations and or call CPS. Corporate is a nightmare. Helen never calls back. If you want medical records they said call this attorney lady. Easter Seals will take their side. I do not recommend them. Worst experience. No wonder high staff turnover the management is a disaster. And just wait until you deal with being number 29 in line for the scheduling center. So many mistakes, lack of supervision, lack of training, pettiness of management, and the full capacity to make up crap in order to discredit your grievance against them. Not worth it. read more

My son is doing so good with services here. Easy to get started with and the only company that didn't give me attitude for us having Magellan/blue shield insurance. Love the ease of communication between scheduling and our supervisors. Also impressed with how the supervisors will get down on the floor and play too, not just observing you can tell they want to build a fun relationship with your child too. Our BTs have been really good. They don't treat this as a part-time job they're truly invested in our sons growth and development. read more

I give 5 for the sessions. The best thing from Behavior Frontier has been the ABA sessions my son received from Therapist: Jessie Rubalcava. He was great and my son improved a lot and got very attached to Jessie. As well as case Manager Maria Aguilar . Both were very knowledgeable and supportive and involved in my son's case. I'm not sure what branch they both belonged to ,but we received the services in Orange County. Unfortunately, due to Behavior Frontier being out-of-network from our insurance, we couldn't continue service with them. I was unable to get single case agreement from them but I did try to. My son Logan misses Jessie a lot. He's always talking about him including today. He saw an old toy used during sessions that Jessie left behind and my son said :"that's Jessie's " and then he threw himself on the couch and became very sad. read more

My 6-year-old son received in-home ABA service since Jan 2022. I don't see much help or improve for my son. How often does the Case Mgr join in(Direct Supervision) with BTs? I got the same BTs and the Case Mgr came 3 times last Sept 2023 and double copays for me and bills a lot to my insurance as well. They both talk more than teaching my son. She has come with the BTs a lot since Jan 2023 and Sometimes they bring a new BT for training so three people come to my house at once, and one or two times even 4 people. In short, I"m unhappy with the services. read more

From their efficient appointment coordinator, their professional well-trained staff, and most importantly their amazing, knowledgeable leads, they have everything covered. They communicate with the team effectively and take our expectations and suggestions to the heart. This whole process was a very emotionally fueled experience for us when our son got the official diagnosis; Behavior Frontiers leads' objective and professional guidance has been quite comforting and helpful during these past two and half years that we have been working with them in guiding our son to a more independent and capable individual. This is my second review for Behavior Frontiers. My daughter received therapy for 805 Early Start Services when she was 24 months. My son's case manager, Najmia was the one who brought up the possible delays that my daughter was exhibiting at 16 months and sure enough, she has speech delay and was showing atypical behaviors at the time. The program that my daughter's team created has helped her tremendously in her development. She is now a very talkative 3 years old. We've known our case manager Njamia since my son was 3.5 years old til now (10 years old). Jonna is one of our favorite BTs. She is very professional and kind to my kids. My husband and I highly recommend Behavior Frontiers to any family looking for services for their kids. They are extremely professional, from the assistant clinical directors to BTs. We have been working with this company for 3+ years and have seen our daughter learn and grow tremendously. We have met some wonderful people as they have an excellent team of BT's and supervisors working for them. There has been one supervisor in particular who makes this review 5 stars and that is Savannah Reid. Her passion, work ethic, and respect to her families is unparalleled and has been such a blessing to us. Terrible company to work for. As other former employees have mentioned in the reviews I have seen, not only is it the layout of training and the website issues that are terribly tedious but also the attitude of management personnel. They will not communicate with you unless they want something from you, otherwise they will not respond to you at all. They are unorganised, unprofessional, hypocritical, and super inconsistent with what they expect from you... I have never had such a bad experience with a company, not even one that I didn't work for. I finally was able to reach an HR representative 2 weeks after I had initially tried to contact them, and I instantly regretted it because I swear on everything that this was the rudest, most unprofessional woman I've ever spoken to, work environment or not. I was so shocked and angry that I did not even catch her name but she started personally attacking me after I asked about an ongoing issue I was having (they sent me a "voluntary resignation" letter even though I did not quit) and told her how no one had answered me for 2 weeks. She did not listen to one word I said it was just instantly all my fault, she said I was "unprofessional" and she implied that they wasted money and time on "training" me and then had the audacity to say that they were always willing to help us employees from the very beginning. Be careful where you are sending your KIDS to if this is how they treat employees! read more

Not a good company to work for. Management is all over the place. No one is communicating with each other, training sucks, and hr is hard to reach by phone. Your email will go unanswered. They rush you through training and act as if you should know the ends and out of the company. Within the first week of you working there. Training is like a headache that won't go away. Good luck if you know any person's name in upper management. This company will lead to burnout. If upper management is not organized or on the same page. Your company will not run smoothly and you will have a fast turnover of employees. Also, they have too many unnecessary employee portals you need to go into. Training easily should be 3 months. But this company wants you to know everything within a week. You will have to reach out to numerous people before you get an answer. It's very messy and unorganized. You can find a job elsewhere or stay with this company, roll the dice, and just get a check. read more

Unprofessional BT's. Classes got cancelled for the entire weeks. Replacement BT also canceled day-by-day. Been like that for a few months. Case manager apologized but I don't need apology but consistency. They always said they will do something but nothing happened. Super unhappy. AVOID! read more

I started off as a Behavior Technician and have been promoted every year of employment. Management staff is extremely supportive and provides a collaborative environment. I have always had a great job work and life balance. I wouldn't be at Behavior Frontiers if I didn't truly believe Behavior Frontiers makes a difference in their clients lives by providing high quality ABA services. Great place to work! read more
