My daughter has been blessed enough to be supported by the BTs at Spectrum for close to a year now, and I am so impressed with their services. To highlight: Our therapy team is headed by Marisa, who is our supervisor. Marisa does an outstanding job at creating goals and making adjustments as needed. She has worked closely with my husband and I since the very beginning and has offered invaluable support for our daughter. From attending IEP meetings to ensuring that our daughter not only achieves her goals, but masters them, Marisa has been a Godsend. Our other BTs are Johannah, Tiffany, and Crystal. The field of behavioral therapy is particularly challenging, with a very high turnover rate, and we have been incredibly blessed with therapists who pour their heart and soul into their jobs despite how demanding--and challenging--the industry itself is. Our daughter has been using Spectrum ABA services since Pre-K and the team was instrumental in helping our daughter get adjusted to the routine and changes in school and build her social skills with peers. I just wanted to take a moment to share what an incredible experience we've had with Spectrum Behavioral Therapy. The progress my 3-year-old son has made over the past year has been nothing short of remarkable. When he first began therapy, he was very shy, spoke only in single words, had difficulty identifying names, struggled with tantrums, and had a hard time adjusting to his new school environment. But everything started to change once he began working with the amazing team at Spectrum. Thanks to the dedication, patience, and compassion of Janet, Marisa, Eddie, the wonderful supervisors, and the talented behavioral therapists Sydney, Litzy, Angela, and Toussant, my son began to flourish. He gradually became more confident, began speaking in full sentences with 4-5 words, learned to identify himself by his full name, knew his age, and could even recognize my name as well as his peers'. His social interactions improved significantly, and his episodes of aggression decreased notably. I am beyond grateful for the time, love, and care that each team member poured into my son. Their consistent efforts and thoughtful approach truly prepared him for the next step public school. Being part of a classroom-like setting during therapy gave him the foundation he needed to transition more smoothly. The regular daily and monthly reports they provided gave me peace of mind and allowed me to stay informed about his progress. Perhaps most touching of all, my son quickly learned and remembered all of his therapists' names a clear sign to me that he felt safe, cared for, and genuinely connected. That meant the world to me. To all the families that have a child on the spectrum, I want to recommend you Spectrum Behavioral Therapies as your ABA company. My daughter is 6 yrs old. She started ABA therapy at the age of 3 and half with Acuity Behavioral Solutions. My child had mild maladaptive behaviors. At the beginning, we would always be getting new un experienced therapist. My daughter likes to dominate sessions. They lacked the proper skills to redirect her behavior. Unfortunately this year around the month of March, an urgent care doctor prescribed oral steroids with the wrong dosage to my daughter. After this incident, her behaviors worsen drastically. We started having issue with eloping, aggressive behaviors and intense meltdowns. This really made ABA sessions almost impossible. She would cry, throw things, and elope. The therapist just could not redirect her behaviors nor did the supervisor made an attempt to go in person to help with the situation. We decided to switch to another company. We just started services with Spectrum Behavioral Therapies and oh boy we have seen improvement in my daughter's behavior already. They really do hear your concerns and make sure you are included in setting your child's goals. Since the beginning, I told them my concerns are on working on social skills and reducing maladaptive behaviors. For social skills, we do a sessions at the clinic so my daughter can be expose to other kids. She has had the opportunity to share her toys and play in the trampoline with other kids at the big room. This is her favorite part. For eloping and safety community awareness, we do sessions at home. We have had the opportunity to go grocery shopping with the therapist. Before, I could not go grocery shopping with my daughter because she would elope and have intense, aggressive behavior that one time lead to a self injury incident. We have gone twice to grocery shopping with Carolina, Elliot, and Marissa and I can not believe how well behaved my daughter is now. When she does have behaviors, they are quick to jump in and redirect her behaviors. All I have are wonderful things to talk about them. It's been only a couple of months(2-3) we started with them and we already have seen improvements in my daughter's behaviors. Another advice parents If you really want to see those improvements, it's also crucial for you to be involve during sessions. I learned from them on how to redirect those behaviors and how to prepare her for changes in her routine. read more

We started with Spectrum last year when our nugget had to be removed from his daycare due to aggression. With not an aggressive bone in our bodies, we had not the slightest idea how to address the problem but we wanted him to be in a place that he could start kindergarten in August. Getting him started with Spectrum was easy and quick since he already had his autism diagnosis. They asked a ton of questions to make sure they were addressing every concern we had and doing it in a way we were comfortable with. They wanted to know him and immediately saw him for the bright, funny guy he is. I've never felt like he was too much when he's there. He has so much fun and never wants to leave. I'm elated to say that in less than 6 months, the aggression was gone at home and we are now struggling to think of things to work on! He's using his words effectively and keeping his emotions regulated. He's learned to play games and not get upset if he loses. He's learned to sit for longer periods of time to do table work and, in turn, has started reading and writing at a new level. He's even showing empathy and compassion for others which I never thought would be in the cards. He is beyond ready for kindergarten. Hi, I'm a mom living in South OC, California, and I have a high-functioning middle school son who's been receiving ABA therapy for nearly 10 years now. He was diagnosed around age 2, and throughout the years, we've worked with a lot of different ABA companies. As we're now getting ready to graduate from ABA, I wanted to share and recommend the company we've been with most recently because it's honestly been one of the best experiences we've had. We've only been with Spectrum Behavioral Therapies for about 2 years, which isn't a super long time compared to our full ABA journey, but the quality and support we've received has really stood out. What impressed me the most is how much the company truly cares about helping each therapist grow and succeed. You can tell they genuinely support their staff. One example: they even offer a retirement plan for their employees and hold seminars to teach young therapists--many of whom are just starting their careers--about financial planning. That really made me feel like this company is investing in their people. That kind of benefit is rare, especially in a medium-sized company like this one. Sure, big nationwide agencies offer stuff like that, but for a growing company, it's pretty amazing. Another thing I appreciated is how stable the team has been. Out of the original two therapists we started with, only one had to leave due to personal reasons, and we've had just three therapists total in the past two years. That's honestly unheard of in ABA! Therapist turnover is usually so high, but this company seems to keep their staff happy and motivated. All the therapists we've worked with were college graduates--no college students or part-time temps. Right now, the two therapists working with my son are both working on their BCBA certification, so they're serious about their careers. Compared to past companies, where it felt like they were scrambling to find anyone available and just throwing them in with minimal training, Spectrum really feels different. I'm not sure how long their training is, but whatever they're doing--it works. The bottom line is that this is a company I genuinely trust, and the therapists here are way more capable and professional than what we experienced at other places. As we're about to finish up our ABA journey, I know how hard it is for parents to find the right fit. I've been there. That's why I wanted to share our positive experience, hoping it can help even just one other family out there. I truly hope your kids also find great therapists and meaningful progress--whether it's through Spectrum or somewhere else. And most of all, I hope they grow up healthy and happy. My child has autism and ADHD and was previously in a Special Day Class at a public school. During his 3rd-grade IEP meeting, I requested a 1-on-1 aide so he could attend some academic subjects in a general education class where he wouldn't have difficulty. However, the school denied my request, and the general education teacher responded by asking me, "What would be good for you to send him to a general class?" I was shocked by this response and realized that I couldn't send my son to a school with that kind of attitude. I found a private school that was willing to accept him, but they required an ABA therapist to be with him during school hours. The parent who recommended this school spoke very highly of the ABA therapy center her son attended. That's how I found Spectrum Behavioral Therapy and began services with them. At the same time, my son started attending his new school with the support of behavioral therapists. From the very beginning, we met an amazing team. Andrew was the team's supervisor, and the therapists--Alyssa, Gia, Kenneth, and Jessica--worked so incredibly hard to help my son adjust to school and succeed. I cannot thank them enough for their dedication. We had experience with another ABA therapy center before, but I can confidently say that Spectrum Behavioral Therapy is on a completely different level. They go above and beyond expectations. They notice things I don't see, suggest solutions before I even realize there's an issue, and genuinely care about my child with such warmth and dedication. Transitioning from a Special Day Class in a public school to a general education setting in a private school was a huge challenge. The first year, which started in the second semester of 3rd grade, was especially tough for my son. Everything was new, and he struggled to adjust. He had frequent tantrums, and at one point, the school suggested homeschooling for a few weeks. We tried a hybrid schedule--two days at school and three days at home--until he was ready to attend more regularly. Andrew, along with his team of BTs, worked closely with us throughout the remainder of 3rd grade and summer break to create a solid plan for 4th grade. Thanks to their dedication and support, when 4th grade started, my son was able to attend school full-time. Of course, there are still some challenging days, but he is doing unbelievably well and continues to improve every single day. His team evolves as he progresses. Once he accomplishes certain goals, they set new ones to help him continue growing. His current team--Andrew, Janet, Patrick, Carolina, Jennifer, and Jessica--works tirelessly to support him, and I am beyond grateful for all they do. SBT has been the only behavioral therapists that has worked with my son and I'm so happy that I chose them first. He has been with them for nearly 3 years and the progress that he has made has been tremendous. He has learned to speak in full sentences, ask us for something when he wants it, listens to directions, sustaining attention and so much more. At SBT, not only do they ask you what goals you want for your child but they also come up with goals that they think your child should learn. This is long over due! My son has been coming here for 2 years and I could not be more thrilled with the progress he's made. We tried 2 other companies, before I found Spectrum. We had really bad experiences so I was hoping for a better one and they have blown us away with their care and support of my son! I even have my younger son doing his Early Intervention services here through RCOC and his language has exploded since starting here in April! You are involved every step of the way with your child's program. The therapists keep you updated on how their day went and what happened, you have monthly meetings with the whole team (therapist and BCBA), you are able to stay for your child's whole session if you want, and they even offer in home sessions if you would prefer that. They are so quick to respond if you have any questions or concerns. We feel so cared for by everyone there! Very fortunate to have found them and I'm hoping my son will be able to receive services from them for as long as possible :) read more

May 2023- This place is so hard to get a hold of. I tried many times. Left msges and emailed. Also had regional center get a hold of them and yet even my son's RC coordinator was having a hard time getting ahold of them. No responded one time after many attempts then my RC case worker emailed them back and its been a week after and no response again. They give this kind of service to RC case worker imagine how they will give service to a client... i had high hopes for them since they had 3 other good reviews. But honestly I don't even know if those reviews are legitimate. - this review was back in May 1,2023 I removed it because the owner reached out to me explaining what happened. I gave them a chance and so i felt as a small clinic with only few reviews I didnt want to ruin their reviews over one bad review of mine for she did reach out to me to explain. Present- So my son got the approval from RC and i thought well i should give them a chance again. I called them 5 times no answer so i left a msg, 2 days later no call back. So i called them and the receptionist answered (on the 3rd try) and told me they're fully booked. They have a waiting list so i explained i wanted to speak to Christine. I explained i had spoke to her via yelp msg and would like to speak to her. The receptionist told me she will pass the msg to her and have her call me back. Ok so its been 2 days now and no has called me back. No reply no msg no email. This is ridiculous. Have the decency to at least call back the parent and tell them at least you got the msg to call them back, booked up or not. New clients don't even bother calling this place. They're so booked up. I almost feel like they don't even care to even want new clients since they don't need anymore. Let me also add, Regional center also mention while back when we first tried to get a hold of them. First of all, I want to thank the CEO Christine for having an excellent staff from the top to the bottom. I have two kids with the spectrum disorders who received ABA services a girl 6 yrs old and a boy 21 yrs old for four years (now graduated) During those years they, clinical supervisores and BTS worked very hard 1-on-1 with my two kids regarding their behavior. Excellent and professionalism made good results evident from the beginning. It is worth mentioning that the supervisores are excellent instructors, mentioning some (Andrew BCBA and Lynsey BCBA) for both parents and BTS. We as parents learned a lot from them because we were also a team together in the process of my children's therapies. Now its up to us to continue with what we learned from them for our children. I've been wanting to write this review for quite some time and have finally made time to do so:) My 19 years old, autistic son, K has been receiving ABA therapies from this company for about 2 years by now, and he has been making tremendous progress even at his adult age!!! My experience with Spectrum has been anything but positive. I am writing this review as I tears are rolling down my face. Christine ( the owner) and Sam (the clinical director) has been on this journey with my son Dakota who was non verbal when he was 5. And when he started talking, I fell in love with my son all over again. Dakota is now 11 and he won't stop talking. I can't thank them enough. My family is very lucky that my son met the Spectrum company and started ABA, and everyone in our family is grateful. I was told not to expect a lot for at-home ABA to be of help from parents with similar difficulties as my son. However, after meeting this company, my son has undergone many great changes and developments. The therapists ask me consistently "What's does your child find difficult these days?" "What's hard for mom or a member of the family?" To help my son with their daily lives, they always try to think together with the family and come up with various solutions to help with difficulties. My child uses an AAC Device because he is not able to talk, but the therapist helps him to learn and use it actively, so that my child can actively communicate with the device. Sometimes, he is able communicate with the device better and knows the ins and outs of it more than the teacher who teaches AAC! There are so many things to be thankful for, but to talk about one of them, it is that the therapist sincerely tries to understand the child and help the child just like I would. My child during his school time learned about telling time from clocks; I then told the therapist about this. And the very next day, I was going to ask the therapist about using clock pictures to teach my child to tell the time, but the next day before I even brought this up, the therapist suggested showing the clock during the session with my child, so that he could naturally learn the clock and the time. I would like to express my gratitude to this company for putting in so much effort into trying to help me with even the difficulties of my family members along with my child.
