We've been going to Pure Pediatric for 8 months now. Our son has neck and back issues, with some balancing and coordination that needs to be addressed. Vandana has been our therapist since the beginning and has been amazing for our son's development & strengthening. He has made tremendous improvements and we could not be more glad of the positive impact she has had on our son's health overall. She is direct, very professional and always goes the extra mile. I highly recommend Pure Pediatrics. I've been taking my son here for almost half a year for physical therapy with Vandana. Before we came to Pure Pediatrics, we weren't sure if he would be able to make much more improvement since he had already been doing PT elsewhere for a while. But since coming here, he has improved so much over these past few months. Vandana is a great therapist who has a very holistic approach and is always prepared. I'm often pleasantly surprised by how much she remembers from what we've worked on and talked about in our previous sessions. She's also very observant and in addition to helping us with my son's main condition, she has pointed out and helped with many things that we weren't aware of (some of which are related to his condition and some more indirectly related). I would not recommend this place. We had an appointment for today for our 6-month-old and just got a call that it got canceled since "Vandana" the therapist was not available today! No further explanation. We waited 3 weeks for this appointment and the next appointment they can offer us is in another 2 weeks! I did not book the next appointment with them. I rather go somewhere that I can rely on their scheduling! Every week maters for an infant. This is irresponsible behavior. read more

I can't believe it's been 4 years and I have never written a review. To be honest I don't find yelp reviews very useful or credible, there is always more to the story than most are willing to tell. That being said I know some rely on these and after reading some horribly misleading comments, namely from LJ, it disgusts me. My child has been going to Pure Pediatrics for 4 years, since she was 6 months old. We didn't go in with the oh my kid can't walk up stairs or isn't talking but is neuro typical common situations. We went with our floppy baby that was showing signs of missing milestones to come, would not tolerate tummy time and would fatigue holding her head up. We had no clue where to go, silent reflux was suspected, so they referred us to GI, a fabulous GI at that, she referred us to Neuro and Neuro to Metabolics. Long story short our child was diagnosed with a rare Mitochondrial Disease. Even our pediatrician who I love said let's wait till she is 8 months and our outside Neurologist (cash only type) said benign infantile hypotonia and never suggested pursuing the why. But our AMAZING therapists were the calm and rational type that steered us in the right direction. I am sure most of you are reading this saying oh thank god that's not my kid and we just need a little assistance and hope to be released from care after a few visits. That's not our story and we are so thankful to the entire team at this office for loving our child and taking the time to figure out her why and treat us like family. You can be glad it's not your child but BE THANKFUL to have this office of highly skilled professionals to care for your child. When our daughters metabolics team provided little hope to her life, we saw the possibilities of it through her therapy. We get all of her services through Pure, PT (Previously Korena and Jessica), now Lesley , OT (previously Nina), now Camille Bustillo, Speech Amanda Orechkin and Feeding/Speech Breeanne Werring. We spend a lot of time there, 7 sessions a week! I trialed loads of places and found Pure to be the best. We have seen almost all the therapists (our kid is a stubborn little one) but certainly feels at home with all of them, these people are like family to us and we cry and laugh together through all the ups and downs. We also took our oldest here for rehab after a broken ankle and she was back in the gym and competing in gymnastics within 3 months. I urge you if your on the fence or unsure go, give it a try and hear from the parents with the tried and true results sitting in the waiting room. P. S. My daughter who could barely hold her head up is now walking, talking, and learning beyond any of our wildest dreams. We are so thankful for this place and these special ladies. Ms. Dina has been our child's occupational therapist for a few months now, and she's been a pleasure to chat with about our concerns. Patient, caring, supportive, and at the same time vulnerable herself (sharing about her own parenting past) are qualities that come to mind about her -- and also likely why our kid absolutely LOVES her. In fact, it's one of the days of the week that our child repeatedly looks forward to. From a therapy side, we have seen some improvements in our child's behavior as they relate to patience, focus, courtesy, and being more aware of other people's feelings. We also received tips to try at home on how to continue the exercises at home, and those have helped us come up with some strategies of our own. Each child is temperature checked and staff had been observed wearing their masks amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Ms. Dina has also been sanitizing her hands each time she stepped out onto the lobby, and she has also asked our kid to wash hands at the beginning of each lesson. Each session ends with a summary of what tasks and goals were attempted/accomplished and how the child did. Pure Pediatric Therapy was recommended by my son's pediatrician and I am so grateful! Miss Camille is my son's OT, and we see her twice a week. She also did our initial evaluation, which was painful for us as parents, because we knew our son was having trouble but we had not been given an official diagnosis yet. She made the whole process feel seamless, was friendly, and has worked tirelessly with our son. For quite some time in the beginning, he would scream and cry when it was his turn - now he goes in with her with barely a backwards glance! He has since been diagnosed with autism, but all the work he has done with Miss Camille has been life changing for him and for us. We went to see Amanda because my 2 year old has apraxia of speech. I take her to a myofacialist SLP in LA and pay out of pocket, so was hoping to supplement her care with someone down here who took our insurance. I'll start with saying we did reschedule/cancel the eval three times I believe-mostly because I wasn't sure it would be a good fit, as we had been there before with my son. Their lackluster reviews were also scary and I didn't want to waste more time if it wasn't going to help my daughter. The SLP (Amanda) evaluating my son about a year ago seemed annoyed my 1 year old (at the time) was in the room with us, doing her 1 year old thing. She did however remember evaluating my son and her response was, "Oh yah. I remember him crying." Duh! He has ADHD, mild ASD, SPD, and a low frustration tolerance if he can't do something she's asking him too. That made me feel like s^*+. She should be more compassionate and understanding as to WHY a 5 year old would respond this way. For the record, he recently finished kinder with great marks thanks to the tactics I used at home over the past year, and of course his maturity over that time. When we did make it in for the eval for my 2 year old earlier this week, Amanda seemed not friendly at all. I told her we were seeing Lisa Klein in LA (who doesn't take insurance, so I pay out of pocket) and her response was, "Who???" This is hard to convey in writing, but her tone was negative. She could have politely asked, "Oh, who is Lisa? Tell me about her." I hope she has googled her by now to see just how amazing she is and why people travel to see her from all over California. I expressed it was also important that if my daughter had two SLP's, Lisa Klein is adamant about working to together as a team so they can work on the same things together and be on the same page. This didn't seem to go over well with Amanda. All she could say is, "I use PROMPT," and didn't offer to even attempt any other therapies or tricks and tips Lisa might have to offer. I get that if PROMPT is what she's trained for, I can't expect her to all of a sudden become an expert in another method. That being said, Lisa has shown me ways to get my daughter to add initial consonants into words she had previously dropped. It works for me, so why couldn't Amanda try it???? Lisa Klein got my daughter to say words she's never said before in just her evaluation and one session (we just started going). I'm closing, I spent 5 months in speech therapy with another south OC therapist and it was a waste of time. I was so afraid that would be the case at Pure as well, and that's exactly the feeling I got. I will not be returning nor recommending them. It's way worth it to pay out of pocket twice a week and drive to LA because that therapist actually cares about my child, loves on her, and genuinely cares for what she does for a living. read more

This office is overloaded, extremely unprofessional, and rude. They have no business taking clients. Also, while some of the therapists are good, I watched at least one be extremely rude to and impatient with a child with disabilities, whose parents were not with him to support him and intervene on her behavior. I can't say enough good things about our experience with Liz at Pure Pediatric Therapy!! We started last April during COVID doing OT virtual visits for fine motor delay and transitioned to in-person visits a few months later. His progress while working with Liz is nothing short of amazing! A year later, he's able to eat an entire meal with chopsticks! He went from only knowing about half the alphabet to reading. Pure Pediatric therapy has been our saving grace for our two sons with higher needs. The level of compassionate and intentional specialized care that we have received has immensely blessed our lives. My sons both are willing to work hard for their therapist, which shows the level of connection they've made and trust and security they feel. Son had an evaluation there and OT said he should come in twice a week. Don't feel like I got a decent explanation on what would take place / how it would help my son. But the biggest issue is despite trying I never got a call like I was told I would to get him on the schedule for therapy - nor have any of my phone calls been returned to schedule any of his follow up appointments. Myself and pediatrician also never received a report of his evaluation. I have given up trying to keep contacting them and will be moving on to another provider. Omg I can't say enough good things about Pure Pediatrics. My daughter Ava is 4 months old and sees Jessica for PT and we absolutely love her. She is not only so sweet, calm and attentive but also an amazing physical therapist full of information and always so informative and on time. I was so nervous being a first time mom taking my tiny little baby to PT but now because of Jessica we look forward to each session. The front desk staff is also SO SO nice. The two girls that work the front desk always have a smile on there face and are so sweet. They also work very hard to get you scheduled in. We started going to Pure Pediatrics in August 2018 because my son has always struggled with eating and is a very picky eater. Mealtime has been extremely unpleasant and we have tried everything we could to get him to try new foods including star charts, rewards, etc. When a new food was offered in the past he would cry before even trying it or gag because he already decided it was not going to taste good. He is now 6 years old and prior to Pure Pediatrics, we could not go out to a restaurant with him because his diet was so limited. Liz Koren is the OT that we work with and since we started working with her, everything has changed. He tries new foods every week and he has homework to eat those foods throughout the week. His attitude toward trying new foods is completely different. Her approach to getting him to eat the foods has been really productive and mealtime is finally enjoyable. My son loves going to see Liz and we feel like we have known her for much longer than we have. She is always very welcoming and positive to be around. She has made eating a positive experience for my son and he actually gets excited to see her every week. He has tried more types of food in the last 2.5 months than he has in the last 6 years and food therapy has been a huge success for us. I tell all of my mom friends about the success we have had, especially if they have a child who is a picky eater. We are very thankful to Pure Pediatrics and Liz for turning our mealtime into a positive experience. read more

I was referred to Liz Koren because my daughter wasn't eating of a variety of foods. Before starting with Liz, I was so frustrated and stressed every time I had to feed my daughter. We came for therapy (which was more fun than anything else) every week for about 2 months and now my little girl eats everything! Going to therapy at Pure Peds not only took away my frustration of not being able to help my daughter, but it was something surprisingly fun for us to do. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful team of dedicated therapist working to help me and my son. My son was first seen by Liz for his feeding delays and later with Karina for his gross and fine motor delays. Not only are the therapist intuitive, creative and nurturing they helped me to empower me to help my son when we were on our own time. Although it was hard for my son at first he now looks forward to his "play time" at Pure Pediatrics". Pure Pediatrics provided additional help for parents by arranging a Saturday seminar by Dr. Ann Corwin, at no cost to us, to help us learn to manage our sons terrible two's behavior. We've already put some of that advice into practice and again, we are getting results. It wasn't always easy communicating with my insurance company. The administrative staff got through all the " red tape" and helped us to get more benefits than our insurance company originally allocated. They were friendly, professional and prompt. I cannot say enough good things about this place! My son was receiving Speech and Occupational Therapy at a nearby location for almost 3 years. Our insurance changed and so we were referred to Pure Pediatrics by a friend. I am so thankful it changed and regret that we didn't find this place sooner! Miss Liz does my sons Occupational Therapy (including food therapy) and I have seen a huge difference in his handwriting among other things. His food tolerance has increased so much and the way she works with him with food has been more beneficial and shown more results in a few months than he has in years! She gives him food homework each week and he has followed thru and is actually eating new foods. My son see's Miss Amanda for speech and reading therapy. She is amazing! I feel so lucky that my son is able to see her. He has been in speech for years with a speech and language delay but more recently has been having a really hard time with blending sounds and reading. Amanda makes it fun for him while challenging and teaching him at the same time! She gives me homework for him to work on between sessions and is available if I have questions or need help. He is building confidence in reading and is able to read so many more words than when we started a few short months ago. The front office people are so accommodating and try their best to work with your schedule. Basically, I love this place! I had read all the good reviews on Yelp so I decided to use Pure pediatric for my daughter. We had PT with Jessica. We saw her for near 3 months. In less than 24 hours after our last appointment we got an EMAIL from the office telling us that Jessica can't see us anymore and she has hurt her back. 1- They could have offered a substitute for the time Jessica is recovering but instead they decided to completely stop seeing my daughter. I guess my daughter was too complicated for her. 2- They could have called me or talked to me in person. We deserve more than just an email!! 3- We had seen Jessica on Monday around noon and received the email on Tuesday. It means LESS THAN 24 hrs. She had time to see how she recovers to let us know our session is cancelled. Why did she have to send an email and cancel with us completely and IMMEDIATELY!! It can't be because they are organized as every time I have called to cancel due to sickness they have forgotten and wanted to charge us no show fee! I can't trust them anymore so just switched to another clinic. I would stay away. The good reviews are for Liz and Jessica. Jessica has hurt her back and can't work well and Liz just had baby and doesn't work full time. So the reviews don't apply anymore. read more

It was 2 years ago that our pediatrician referred my 3-month-old daughter, Ava, to Pure Pediatric Therapy to treat torticollis. After a few months of PT with Jessica, Ava's torticollis was corrected, but Jessica recommended that she continue PT as she was falling behind on her gross motor milestones. When Ava was 8-months-old, Jessica observed that she was falling behind on her fine motor milestones and referred us to OT with Liz. Although Ava was always behind on all her milestones, she continuously progressed under the direction of Jessica and Liz. At 18-months-old, we - and our entire team of MDs - were shocked to learn that Ava has a rare neuro-genetic disorder that involves significant lifelong developmental delays. All of our MDs have previously worked with patients with her syndrome and collectively were - and continue to be - amazed by all of her accomplishments. They attribute so much of Ava's success to the early intervention PT and OT she continuously received from Jessica and Liz. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel toward Jessica and Liz. Although Ava didn't have a diagnosis initially, it was their skill that recognized an underlying issue. Thanks to their proactive approach, Ava received the best possible therapeutic care from infancy. Knowing how effective Jessica and Liz's programs have been so far, I look forward to many more years of Ava's continued growth and accomplishments under their care. We received a referral here by our pediatrician because our daughter had a head tilt. My daughter was very lucky to have gotten Bianca. She was incredibly caring and kind every time we brought my daughter by. We recently realized that my daughter had strabismus and she was tilting her head to make up for her vision problems. She had surgery on her eye to repair her vision which ultimately repaired her head tilt. Bianca was supportive throughout us getting the strabismus diagnosed and the decision to have the surgery. She was truly amazing with our daughter. I can not recommend this place enough as the staff is kind, caring, compassionate, and very good at what they do. read more

Took our 3 yr old here for PT she is unable to walk sit unassisted etc . She worked with Jessica she was amazing , kind, caring and wonderful PT. my daughter unfortunately got sick at the time and was hospitalized then I had to take her back to NY. My son, Keilan has been seeing Amanda for speech since January 2015. Pure Pediatrics was one of the only clinics in the area that could accommodate Keilan's needs in offering speech for a child that was non-verbal and uses a communication device. I checked several clinics and most were not able to provide services for him. Everyone at the clinic is very helpful and Keilan loves seeing all the staff every time he goes for therapy. I can't say enough wonderful things about Liz and her outstanding work with my son Brayden. Brayden was diagnosed with a pretty severe case of torticollis. Liz recommended we see her once a week and follow up with exercises everyday. My son loved "playing with her" and enjoyed this facility so much He and I cried on our last day. The staff here went above and beyond for me, checked my insurance and gave me an estimate. It was so easy all I had to do was show up! I wish everyone had an office like this......
