I did not enter this facility with a bowel bladder problem, but found that the way they deal with it is, rather than to help you get up and get to the toilet. They slap a diaper on you and tell you to go to the bathroom on yourself. Then the poop crew comes in changes, everyone's diaper and slaps another one on you. I was horrified to say the least. The Managment and Social Services Dept not only lied about various issues that occurred but were unsupportive in every single way. Absolutely the worst ever! Gabby should find a different field to work in because it was evident from our first conversation that helping others was not on her agenda. She was demeaning, rude and put words in mouth that I never uttered in order to make me seem uncompliant. She was offensive in every way possible and created more barriers to my recovery than I can mention here. Next the 2 younger male nurses who handed out the meds had dismissive smart a** attitudes. One actually said to me after waiting over an hour for much needed pain meds after back surgery "This is for my crybaby" needless to say I was shocked. After they refused to tell me what pills I was taking when asked... I requested a printout of the medication's I was taking. He asked me why I was being so difficult and told me that he was going to make me wait an additional hour for the pain medication that was due at that time AND he never printed out the list! After reporting this to management, it became clear to me that they were going to do absolutely nothing about it. Several times I ended up having to call the facility from my outside cell phone to get someone to answer my call light because the minimum wait time was 20 minutes. Completely unacceptable in every way, shape and form. However, I would like to highly commend the staff of overworked CNA's there who were kind, compassionate and caring. Many thanks to those who helped me along the way. In addition the physical therapy staff was excellent and I wish I could remember the Russian gal's name who was so fantastic in every way. Kudos to you. Keep up the good work!! The final straw that broke the camels back was the fact that they lost my custom-made front crown tooth and refused to even let me file a report about it. I was furious and I'm still without a front tooth many weeks later. I asked everybody to stop what they were doing that was helping me at that particular moment and told them exactly where my tooth was located next to me and they just kept on going and rolled it up in my sheets and dirty diaper, shoved them together in a plastic bag and left the room saying they would find it later in the laundry . I was mortified. It was a Saturday and I couldn't even get anybody to walk in there and place a reward sign which I was offering because it was a $2000 crown that required 3 seperate visits to the dental office. Heartbreaking expensive and difficult to replace considering my current health condition and restrictions. I'm not sure how they got away with NOT allowing me to file a report about the incident, but they simply refused to give me the necessary paperwork to file a report. Shocking!! After that I AMAʻd out of that hell hole just to get away from mananagment and Gabby who was physically blocking my exit with both hands on her hips upon me trying to exit the building. It was a disgusting experience in which I left the facility worse often than when I entered. I am now happily situated at Pelican Ridge Post Acute just down the street and I am highly satisfied with the care I am receiving there.

I called all over southern California (L.A. , O.C. , I.E.) from the very first inquiry smita was kind, polite and very caring and reasonably priced. She didn't turn my insurance away like the other facilities did and in fact, she made sure that she'd find a way and she did. That's exactly what I was looking for in a therapist especially during recovery from an injury that caused Duputryns syndrome. She is very patient, calm, diligent and understanding although I was very doubtful at first that I will be able to heal. Smita reassured me and sure enough, she got me twice the outcome the doctor said I would be able to achieve! Im so happy with my results so far, and I recommend anyone who wants actual personal care to see her.

Finding the Newport Hand Center was truly the luckiest part of my journey. Joanne and the entire team are absolutely amazing at what they can do. Over the course of a few months, I found myself going from constant pain and the inability to use my left hand to where I was back in the golf course a few months later. I am now nearing the 1 year mark from the surgery and can say I'm back to my old self and doing all of the activities I love. I have told everyone that will listen: I had an amazing surgeon who put me in a position to heal. But I give the real credit to Joanne and the entire team at the Newport Hand Center for truly healing me. These folks are amazing.

I had my pcp refer me to a new place, this one, where I met Max and Brandon and all their wonderful aides. They treated me like an individual and not just someone lumped in with a group that they had to hurry and see and send on my way. They learned about me and pushed me when I was ready, and took it easy on me when needed. They were invested in my care which was so appreciated. I spent a few months there getting better and stronger before being discharged with the tools I needed to succeed at home. I was sad to leave! I paid for a physical therapist, but instead I got an unlicensed student…read more I am a longtime suffer of foot pain, and I attempted to continue physical therapy at California Therapy Solutions (CTS). I was assigned a student who, while knowledgeable, was inexperienced in a clinical setting. This was disappointing, but the student was enthusiastic and appeared to have a good understanding of my condition. After 2 visits, I had regressed quite a lot due to overloading a muscle group. I think the initial assessment of my strength and muscle stamina was incorrect and the student didn't modify my exercises appropriately. This resulted in severe cramping and muscle stiffness and has caused other conditions I have to flare-up. I am worse off now than when I started. I do not blame the student for my bad experience, but I do blame CTS for their poor therapy/training structure. The licensed physical therapist, named Bill, who was in the office, did not supervise the student. Bill did not assess me or observe the student while he was assessing me. Bill did not observe us while I was receiving instruction and performing exercises. I believe it is inappropriate for a student to be given full authority over patient assessment and treatment before they are a licensed professional. If you don't want a student treating you without supervision, I suggest you go to a different location. I canceled my future appointments and I will look for a different physical therapist after my flair-up calms down.

They were knowledgeable and provided quality care, although they seemed understaffed. My biggest concern was with the front desk and billing process. I was scheduled for more visits than my insurance coverage allowed, and I was later told that I was fully responsible for the additional fees. While I understand that patients are responsible for knowing their insurance benefits, I also expect a basic level of communication and customer service from a medical office. A clinic should have a system to track the number of authorized visits and alert patients when they are approaching or exceeding their coverage limits. Instead, I was left feeling like the responsibility was shifted entirely onto me for an issue that could have been prevented with better internal tracking and communication. It is frustrating to receive good clinical care but have such a disappointing experience with the administrative side.

From office contacts to the therapists they provided, the organization reflected professionalism and care. Therapists Britney Baker OT and Jamil Kassam PT, were excellent! Their knowledge of exercise's, activities, and specific body movements have brought me to walking that I have not enjoyed for several years. Both Britany and Jamil were kind yet firm getting me to move correctly. They were always professional in their appearance and demeanor. Still more work to do, but they have left me with exercises that will continue my development. I still hear their repeated encouragement to walk!!! For my three week home physical therapy NOI prescribed Mobile Therapy Specialists (MTS). I highly, highly recommended them. My physical therapist is Mark Singh, and he is wonderful and very professional. When he comes to my house, he has a massage table on which he performs my physical therapy. When he arrives, the first thing he does is check my blood pressure and temperature to make sure that I'm healthy enough to actually get my physical therapy. Then he massages my knee and starts to bend it for me. He is gentle and strong and by day three of his therapy I had my knee bending at 85°. Now I am doing exercises on my own as well to continue the bend and make my leg stronger. I can't tell you how thrilled I am with his work on my knee and MTS. If you need HOME physical therapy use MTS. www.MTSresults.com. And like their website says you will get great results. Last year the doctor prescribed the company called Luna. They were horrible. They taught me how to do exercises and they never touched me. I did not bend my knee to 90° until month three because they did not help me bend my knee in the beginning, they just taught me calisthenics.
