I was told my claims couldn't be substantiated. Sort of a he said she said scenario. I can't really blame employees for not coming forward, they have to work there. I am disappointed that someone I thought I could trust did not come through for me, the patient. I already knew this was going to be the outcome. It's unfortunate for the patients. There are so many claims against these facilities all across the US. Some patients are believed, for those who aren't believed there is no closure. A head administrator did contact me to share the results and assured me that my "concerns" were addressed with the staff. Time will tell. I said this place has great potential and that is still true. If you have a family member or loved one residing there and they tell you anything, believe them. Document everything with names and dates. If you're there temporarily for rehab, speak up. I should have spoken up sooner. Live and learn. The bitter taste I have still lingers.

I called all over southern California (L.A. , O.C. , I.E.) from the very first inquiry smita was kind, polite and very caring and reasonably priced. She didn't turn my insurance away like the other facilities did and in fact, she made sure that she'd find a way and she did. That's exactly what I was looking for in a therapist especially during recovery from an injury that caused Duputryns syndrome. She is very patient, calm, diligent and understanding although I was very doubtful at first that I will be able to heal. Smita reassured me and sure enough, she got me twice the outcome the doctor said I would be able to achieve! Im so happy with my results so far, and I recommend anyone who wants actual personal care to see her.

I arrived to the…read moreNewport Hand Center in a full arm splint and immobile hand and wrist with the goal of someday being able to golf again. Heck, I would have been happy to tie my shoes! Finding the Newport Hand Center was truly the luckiest part of my journey. Joanne and the entire team are absolutely amazing at what they can do. Over the course of a few months, I found myself going from constant pain and the inability to use my left hand to where I was back in the golf course a few months later. I am now nearing the 1 year mark from the surgery and can say I'm back to my old self and doing all of the activities I love. I have told everyone that will listen: I had an amazing surgeon who put me in a position to heal. But I give the real credit to Joanne and the entire team at the Newport Hand Center for truly healing me. These folks are amazing.

I had my pcp refer me to a new place, this one, where I met Max and Brandon and all their wonderful aides. They treated me like an individual and not just someone lumped in with a group that they had to hurry and see and send on my way. They learned about me and pushed me when I was ready, and took it easy on me when needed. They were invested in my care which was so appreciated. I spent a few months there getting better and stronger before being discharged with the tools I needed to succeed at home. I was sad to leave! They were knowledgeable and provided quality care, although they seemed understaffed. My biggest concern was with the front desk and billing process. I was scheduled for more visits than my insurance coverage allowed, and I was later told that I was fully responsible for the additional fees. While I understand that patients are responsible for knowing their insurance benefits, I also expect a basic level of communication and customer service from a medical office. A clinic should have a system to track the number of authorized visits and alert patients when they are approaching or exceeding their coverage limits. Instead, I was left feeling like the responsibility was shifted entirely onto me for an issue that could have been prevented with better internal tracking and communication. It is frustrating to receive good clinical care but have such a disappointing experience with the administrative side.
