As a senior living alone, it is important for me to be able to get around my apartment by myself and be as independent as possible. However, I have not been able to drive my car for a few years. Therefore, I find it difficult to get to my Dr appointments unless my caregiver or children can take me. When my Dr. recommended physical therapy the thought of having to go to another appointment was very daunting. The thought of having to go to a gym or clinic during this C19 pandemic was even more daunting. I discussed these concerns with my Dr. and he suggested Mobile Therapy Specialists a physical therapy group that comes to you. Finding this service that comes to my apartment has been life changing. Patrick Klick, is a very caring physical therapist with a vast knowledge about senior health. He has worked with me for the last 2 months. He suggested several equipment for me that has made it easier to do daily tasks. Patrick works on exercises with me so I can stand from sitting and get around on my own with out fear of falling. We have worked on several balance and strength exercises. I'm feeling more confident now getting around my apartment and going for short walks around my neighborhood. I look forward to our visits and I am so thankful my Dr. suggested Mobile Therapy Specialists. read more

Michael F Irvine, CA I have had lower back pain for a long time and had received steroid injections over the past year to relieve the pain. While the injections worked for a period of time, the back pain would return. I asked my doctor for an alternative and he suggested physical therapy. I had a recommendation for therapist Matthew Tjandra PT, DPT with Mobile Therapy Specialists, a company that provides in home physical therapy which is extremely convenient. Matt was professional, personable and very knowledgeable about back issues and muscle groups. He answered all my questions related to back issues, and developed a series of exercises for me to directly treat the affected muscle groups. Most importantly, Matt guided me on how to do the exercises the right way. This one-on-one treatment with a licensed professional for the entire session was very helpful and created a continuity of treatment over multiple sessions. I will continue the exercises post therapy, and have already experienced significant back pain relief. I highly recommend Matt from Mobile Therapy Specials for physical therapy and give him 5 out of 5 stars. read more

I've had physical therapy several times for, largely, age related issues. I've enjoyed the atmosphere of the clinic, but, with the presence of the COVID virus, I decided to try mobile therapy. MTS was recommended to me. My therapist, Lee Perkins, arrived promptly, explained what he was doing as he evaluated me, explained his findings in understandable language and proceeded to treat me. Because I've become too sedentary with the virus, my body was rather stubborn, but Lee persisted and made progress with every visit. I've almost recovered full use of my ailing shoulder and have only Lee to thank for that! He has been here for a full hour [as opposed to the usual 10-15 minutes of therapist time in the clinic], which I really appreciate. Instead of having an aide supervise my exercises, Lee modeled and explained their purpose to me then watched to be sure I was doing them correctly. I cannot recommend MTS and Lee more highly. I'm thrilled to have found his in-home service, and I'm sure I'll need his help in the future. read more

When I fractured my femur in June 2022, I contacted MTS because I knew of its very positive reputation of providing one hour sessions at home with excellent physical therapists. I was referred to Michelle Fischer for PT and told that I would really like her and she is very very good. What an understatement! She is extremely knowledgeable and personable. She is gentle, but when she is done, you know that you have received very very good physical therapy. Since my fractured femur, I have had a hip replacement and two weeks ago had a knee replacement. All within the last one and 1/2 years! I have been fortunate to have Michelle throughout my recent career change to having orthopaedic surgeries! I don't know how many people I have referred to MTS because I know that it is very selective in choosing the physical therapists for MTS. If Michelle is any example, my guess is that all of the MTS physical therapists are great! read more

Caroline Teets and MTS With the passage of time comes aches and pains. First, it was my neck as result of falling asleep in the shape of a twisted pretzel on the couch watching TV at night. Then it was straining a thigh muscle as a result of running way too fast up Jamboree Road while listening to the theme song from Rocky. Fortunately, a chance meeting with Caroline Teets, who happened to be offering PT services at a charity golf event, and the rest is history. Caroline has worked very hard on helping me resolve my aches and pains and has been quite successful. She knows her business, she is very professional, she is punctual (yet flexible) and did I say she is a great conversationalist. Caroline and MTS play an integral role in my daily health and well being and because of them I continue to be competitive both on the golf course and the pickleball court. Mark Susson read more

Writing to commend AND recommend my MTS physical therapist Zoe Dayton for the thoughtful and effective rehab care I received in 15 sessions after a recent knee replacement. In past clinical PT settings (for other things) I'd be seen by a PT and handed off to a PTA, usually someone just learning the business and not particularly well versed in my injury or condition. As an experienced Doctor of PT, Zoe immediately gave me confidence that I was in good hands and would receive excellent care from a mature and seasoned therapist. Despite the rigor of her treatment plan, her calm, relaxed approach made the sessions enjoyable as well as educational. As a result of our 15 sessions together, I am well ahead of where I should be at 6 weeks post-op and getting stronger and more limber every day. Hats off to MTS for hiring caring, knowledgeable professionals like Zoe! Well done! read more

I have had therapy with Lee Perkins for the last 8 1/2 weeks. I can't say enough about how pleased I am and what a difference he has made. Punctual, kind, knowledgable, and thorough. Lee treated me post operatively for bunion surgery with great results. I loved that he used things in my home for my exercises making it easy to follow a program into the future. He also worked on my opposite knee. When we started I could hardly get up stairs, today I can both go up and down with little difficulty. That changes my life! I would recommend this group highly. I thought once I could drive I would have to go to a clinic-but no , MTS is a mobile clinic. Thus, you get far more one on one time with a very experienced therapist. Far more than I have received for a shoulder last year at another clinic. Thank you Lee, you are the best! read more

For the past several weeks, I have been going through physical therapy for a fractured hip and partial hip replacement. Although I have had PT at various clinics before, this was my first experience with in-home PT, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I am very pleased to say that my therapist, Keanu Andico, has been OUTSTANDING in every way and has helped me considerably in the healing process!! He has been extremely astute in the assessment of my progress along the way, identifying the weak points that need to be strengthened further and the exercises needed to achieve that goal. Keanu has also been extremely polite, courteous and flexible when needed regarding scheduling appointments. Overall, I would highly recommend Keanu and Mobile Physical Therapists to anyone needing in-home PT! Joan S. Newport Beach read more

I am an 81 year old woman with a complicated medical history and was in the Hospital for 44 days and required extensive rehab afterwards. I did get back on my feet but after a few months I still felt unbalanced when I walked. My doctor referred me to David at MTS and I have had six weeks of therapy. My balance has improved during that time as shown by measurable tests done when we started and now. I "feel" more balanced now and that is a test I can measure. We have been doing exercises for my balance and for strengthening my core muscles. David is professional, friendly and you can tell he enjoys working with elderly patients like me. He is very patient and always explains why we are doing a certain exercise or movement. I highly recommend David as a therapist and MTS, they are responsive and helpful. read more

The next day following my knee replacement surgery I started in home PT with Ashley Huang with Mobile Therapy Specialist. From the first session I was impressed by her knowledge and personalized approach she took. Ashley throughly assessed my condition and developed a tailored treatment plan that zeroed on my pain level and post op limitations. Her encouragement and positivity made a significant difference motivating me to keep to her plan. I appreciated Ashley explaining each exercise and its purpose. She always arrived on time to each appointment. At my two week follow up appointment with my Dr. they were impressed with the progress in my mobility and reduced swelling. I would highly recommend Ashley Huang to anyone seeking in home physical therapy. read more

I had knee replacement surgery on my right knee in January 2024. My surgeon recommended MTS for 2 weeks of in-home therapy and I drove to therapy for five week. The MTS experience was excellent but the remaining therapy was marginal at best. I had knee replacement surgery on my left knee in September 2024 and asked for and received seven weeks of in-home therapy from MTS. Tara Pollak from MTS did an amazing job. She provided personalized therapy and was a skilled, compassionate professional with great advice and insights. My recovery was easier and less painful and more effective than my first knee replacement. I wholeheartedly recommend MTS and Tara Pollak specifically to anyone looking for a physical therapist of quality. read more

Michele Z. has worked with my mom who has Parkinson's for quite awhile now and she has done an amazing job! My mom was really struggling especially with her strength and mobility and both have improved significantly. Michele is reliable, so very caring and always takes time to update me or share any concerns she has with me. My mom, and myself, love working with her and my mom always looks forward to her physical therapy and shares with me how much better it makes her feel. I have been there for many of my mom's sessions so have seen for myself the quality of physical therapy she provides and also Michele's kindness and understanding towards my mom which is the most important thing to me! read more

I can't say enough good things about Michele Z. She has been working with my mother (who had a stroke in December 2018) for a relatively short time, but in that time my mom's physical capabilities seem to be returning, this after a rather steep decline these past two years. Not only is my mom motivated to participate in each session (which I have observed), but she seems to have a whole new positive outlook on everything! I attribute this to Michele's expertise, and her genuine interest in the client, as well as her ability to communicate specific incremental directions at each session. Indeed, my mom and the family feel very fortunate to have discovered such an amazing therapist! read more

Michele Zygman, a physical therapist with Mobility Therapy Specialists, has changed my life for the better.. i wish I could give her ten stars because five is not enough. Words do not exist to adequately describe Michele's brilliance, knowledge, dedication, compassion, empathy, or work ethic, so I will simply say that Michele is The World's Greatest Physical Therapist. And I have worked with therapists at UCLA, Hoag Hospital, ONR, and therapists in Japan. So I have a large sampling from which to compare. Michele, thank you for helping me survive my stroke, walk better, and for giving me hope again. I appreciate and love you SO much! read more

I just completed a 6 week series of physical therapy for a hip replacement with Tara Pollak of Mobile Therapy Specialists. I cannot say enough great things about her. I have worked with many physical therapists along the way and no one compares with Tara. She has over 20 years of experience and is extremely knowledgeable about of how to treat her patients and with emotional intelligence. She exudes confidence and easily explains what you want to know. As a professional, she is kind, generous, and empathetic. in other words, she is the best and I was lucky to work with her. (And our dogs loved her). Veronica G. read more

I am writing to commend Ashley Huang for her excellence in providing care for me after a rather dramatic fall down concrete stairs. As I had some life changing injuries, needless to say I was concerned with my ability to walk and get around in my life. Then came Ashley, who not only provided amazing exercises and ways to help myself in the moment, but her plan to have me return to an ambulatory life is so well thought out and always communicated with kindness and clarity. I am so fortunate and grateful to have met her. I learn so much from her with every visit. I can never thank you enough. Barbra Murphy read more

I had a wonderful experience working with Mobile Therapy Specialists, specifically with my physical therapist, Zoe Dayton. From the time that I started working with Zoe, I felt that she was doing everything she could to help me progress. She definitely pushed me to what I was capable of doing but also listened to me when I needed to adjust something. I know that she fully prepared me to transition to outpatient rehab. I am 2 1/2 weeks out from a partial knee replacement and am so happy with my progress. Thank you so much Zoe and I will be in contact when I schedule my other knee! read more

Elyse is excellent at her job . She listens well, is empathetic and encouraging, but very professional and stays on track with the task at hand, helping to keep me focused and motivated. Elyse explains WHY I have pain where I do, the function of the different muscle groups that support the hip, and precautions to take against hip dislocation. I accomplished with confidence going from walker to using cane only 9 days post op, and, going up and down 15 stairs with use of cane. My biggest fear! Elyse deserves 5 stars as a physical therapist! read more
