I cannot recommend Brendan highly enough. He helped me rehabilitate both of my feet following two bunionectomy surgeries, and his care made an incredible difference in my recovery. Beyond my feet, he has also treated my knee and neck/shoulder issues, always taking a comprehensive, whole-body approach rather than just addressing symptoms. Brendan is extremely knowledgeable and truly understands how to treat the root cause of pain and dysfunction. For example, he incorporated hip work into my treatment plan because he recognized how surgery impacted my overall biomechanics, something that made a huge difference in my long-term progress and stability. He is thoughtful, attentive, builds great rapport and genuinely invested in helping his patients heal and regain strength. For better or worse, I have been to a few physical therapy practices after joint surgeries. I told my most recent surgeon that I did not want to waste my time with physical therapists that did not push me to make me stronger. Brandon and Riley at SoCal Elite Physical Therapy in Costa Mesa have been terrific. They have been very respectful of the doctor's prescribed protocols, but when my muscle and joints were well healed after 16 weeks but really pushed me to build back my shoulder to where it should be. I leave my session a little tired and worn out, but I know that I have been pushed to get better. They have not used my age as an excuse to allow me to coast through my sessions. If you want to really get better, and will put in the time, this is the best practice I can recommend. read more

The team at socal elite has been amazing! Had a really bad shoulder injury from tennis - couldn't serve without severe pain. 10/10 would recommend Brendan. He really worked with me not just to fix my shoulder pain but even made tailored exercises to get me back into tennis again. I liked how the exercises were really practical, each session was one-on-one, it's not one of those places where they just hand you a sheet of exercises and check on you every 10 minutes. He was there checking my form and making sure to tailor different exercises for each week to help me get better and even gave me specific exercises to do on court. I have nothing but praise for Dr. Riley Kerr and his team! After 5 visits, these are my impressions: - professional, knowledgeable PT staff that *actually* listens and adjusts treatment accordingly - supervised strength training (as opposed to "do this, see you in 15 minutes") - periodic re-evaluations and measurement taking to ensure treatment course is appropriate - a positive atmosphere - friendly front desk staff - clean, spacious facilities - plenty of parking spots (go all of the way to the back of the building and make a left) My story: I have been to many PT facilities over the years for myself and family members, and this is by far the best experience. I arrived with so much chronic pain that I actually laughed a little when Riley asked what my goals were. At the time, they were small in comparison to what they are today. I had spent months in pain and thousands of dollars out of pocket with no significant relief. I honestly had given up hope, but after the immediate relief his targeted treatment provided me with, I started to consider the possibility of "going back to normal," which in my case was a very active lifestyle that included running, mat Pilates, barre, yoga, and HIIT. I have been working with Ross for the past year, and I followed him from another PT office to this one because he is so good to work with. I'm not sure I have ever experienced physical therapy with someone who is so bought into me and my success. In each of my sessions, Ross spends time listening, understanding where I am and he works from there to help me make progress. I've experienced other PT offices who feel routine, but it is never routine working with Ross, his knowledge, care and attention to detail are above and beyond and leave me feeling like we are doing the right things to help me heal. He is just the perfect fit for our family and our patient. Broken in 4 places. Sandwiched between two plates with 12-15 screws plus a lag bolt. We're 2 months out and progressing steadily. Couldn't be happier with him and his treatment plan or his ability to use his network to meet our needs with a referral to a new PT as we are leaving the state. Excellent character and service. I have been dealing with shoulder pain after a rotator cuff tear, labra tear and bicep tenodesis surgery. Have been to many hours of rehab and they all seemed to have the same opinion of just exercising the shoulder. Needless to say I have had very little pain relief after three years since having the surgery. My physician ordered another MRI and I was considering going back plunder the knife to find some relief. It was recommended to me that I give SoCal Elite a shot as they have a different approach to rehab. I was very skeptical as I have been to many rehab clinics who work with professional athletes to no avail. I called SoCal elite and had a couple of conversations with the staff and they understood my skepticism with previous rehabilitation so they suggested I work with Ethan. Ethan went over my symptoms and felt the issue was not my shoulder but mainly a result of my neck and posture. These factors were causing my shoulder pain. Fast forward 3 months and I am no longer waking up a few times a night with shoulder pain. The tightness in my neck and shoulder is much improved. I can't recommend Ethan any more. I cant recommend Ethan enough. He made such a difference in my daily life. I won't say I'm cured just yet but we'll on my way. read more
