We are so thankful that we came here for pediatric physical therapy! Our son came here when he was 5 months old as he was a preemie with torticollis. Dr. Michelle has been so great in helping treat and guide him. Not only did she help with his torticollis, but she also helped guide him in reaching developmental milestones such as rolling over equally on both sides, crawling, and practicing sit-to-standing. Michelle does a great job of ensuring that we are equipped with knowledge to continue to practice with him at home. She also happily addresses any questions or concerns we may have including suggestions on toys to have at home. (Which has been extremely helpful as a first time mom.) I was prescribed 12 sessions after my back surgery. I noticed whoever came in, with their specific ailment, were all prescribed the same routine. Nothing was specific to the client. On the 10th visit, the therapist was so busy talking to other people she compressed my sciatic nerve, apologized and in an email, said I should seek a pain management doctor. Went to my primary dr, she prescribed an amazing sports injury Dr, who sent me to another PT group. They designed a set of exercies for me specific to my surgery, not cookie cutter at all. When I tried to talk to Mr Coury or Mr Buehler, they never called me back after leaving 4 messages for each. Highly DO NOT recommend them at all. read more

I been going to this office for years with great success for the various issues. I have mostly been with Robby and he has been absolutely amazing for me. For the most part all the techs have been amazing, save for one bad experience that I will not talk about or address since it was appropriately handled. Most all gave some empathy, & were open to adapting pressure to reduce pain. Only 15 to 20 of sessions were with a full-fledged Dr of PT. The rest of time was with residents practicing. I've had horrible tail bone and coccyx pain off and on for a year or so, so long I thought it was something very serious and I'd have to have my coccyx removed or something. Constant and consistent worrying and dull gnawing pain that lasted even when standing. I've regrettably even tried and wasted money on a lot of other "solutions." From yoga to donut cushions and lower back pain pads, etc. - nothing helped long term! I eventually went to a doctor and she referred me here. My physical therapist, Doug Thompson (I think that's how it was spelled) helped assure me he'd do his best to at least alleviate most, if not ALL pain, and get to the bottom of my issues (budun tss), which gave me a little hope... but I was so mopey and negative about it, I already tried stretches and Yoga! Being a "sitting" problem, I thought it'd be awkward but he made me feel incredibly comfortable and safe there. He kept talking me through it and explaining what and why he has me do exercises and such, very comforting and professional! After ONLY like 6 appointments, I don't even think about my pain anymore, it's pretty much completely fixed! Doug figured it out and went with what he thought would help and he has helped me so much, I am incredibly thankful like OMG. He was optimistic and helpful the whole time! He knew what he was doing! Today, 99% of the the time I forget I even had pain which is crazy imo, because I accepted the pain after a while! My family has been very happy with our experience here. I was the first one to go to C&B due to some ongoing lower, middle back pain and issues with my ribs. I was paired up with Alex and worked with him for around 2 months. My time with him not only addressed the issues, but corrected them. I honestly feel better that I have in many years. Shortly after I started PT, my son was having issues with his knees due to being a growing boy and PT was suggested. We were referred to a different PT company, but I chose to use C&B for him also. He is still going currently, but we have been quite happy with his treatment so far. Lastly, my wife had foot surgery and needed, yep, PT also. I was recently referred here for serious knee pain due to osteoarthritis. At first I was put off by the large open room, the hustle and bustle vibe and the way you get maybe 15-20 min with the therapist and then you're with one of the many PTAs for your exercises. But I warmed up after a couple of visits. People are friendly and helpful, and I did like my therapist Doug T. I could ask questions and he modified my program as we went along. (Which has helped btw). The office does insist on making people sign in via an iPad, which was annoying. I saw more than one elderly patient requiring help. There are two very friendly ladies upfront at the desk, and it seems like they could check people in quicker than going through the multiple screens and checkboxes. Guess it frees them up to be on the phones. And I was surprised that this reputable chain of clinics isn't "in network" with my major insurance carrrier. Dr. Scott Locken has been working with me since my awful car accident in August 2016 at the Brea location. The friendly and professional nature of all the staff members (aides, front desk, PTs) have been nothing short of amazing. I've had such a great experience with CBPT and Dr. Locken that when the Tustin office opened up, I followed Dr. Locken to this location. He is dedicated to his craft and skilled at it. His bedside manner is both approachable and caring. I always felt comfortable to be able to talk to him about my pain and to get directly treated with results. He made me feel comfortable and explained exactly what he was talking about so that I could understand what was happening with my body. It's not very often that you meet someone in the medical profession that truly cares about their patients like Dr. Locken does. Even on the busiest days, I never felt rushed. Being a first time parent is tricky, especially when it comes with health obstacles for your little one, no matter how minor it can feel overwhelming. We were referred to Coury and Burhler after our daughter was diagnosed with torticollis and plagiocephaly likely due to her nicu stay. This was in addition to some concerns about possible scoliosis that would impact her motor development. It was a lot.. but we were told physical therapy was our first line at treating my daughters conditions. From our first appointment, Michelle was incredibly helpful. She walked us through exercises- frequently offering several alternate variations. She would repeat if we wanted to take photos or notes. After a few appointments, my daughter had developed really strong stranger aversion. This meant she wasn't always a willing participant during her therapy sessions. Lots of tears and crying but Michelle took it in stride, ensuring she wasn't in any pain and that we were still getting the most out of the session. It is also nice because their is a separate individual room the children are treated in, privacy and lots of toys to keep the kids engaged during the session. Frequently we would come to our appointments with long lists of questions, which were always answered with a smile... even if they were typical over the top first time parent concerns. We think it's because of Michelle's guidance that our daughter has remained on track with her milestones, her torticollis resolved. We are thankful that we were referred to Coury and Burhler and for Michelle's expertise that made a difference in our daughters early development! read more
