We were clearly explained and included in the therapy, and CARD provided in-school therapy working with the teachers, in-home therapy as well as center based and "community" therapy where therapists went with us out in the world as our child interacted. We always had a clearly communicated plan and they were quick to adapt and evolve the plan as our son's needed changed and evolved. Our son learned skills here most importantly that can help him interact with the world. I'd recommend ABA and CARD based on our experience for sure.

I work for a school district and a CARD clinical supervisor had reached out to me to collaborate in supporting a student we have in common. The clinical supervisor no showed the meeting she spearheaded. I had rearranged my schedule AND my student's schedules to accommodate her preferred time. She takes a week to respond to emails. When she finally does, says she is available to connect for the next hour and does not provide a way to connect with her directly. This supervisor and organization have been disrespectful towards my students, their time, me and my time. Due to ongoing unprofessional and disrespectful behavior, and defensiveness of her behavior, she and I will not be able to form a working relationship to support the student. This clinical supervisor defends her unprofessional behavior by expressing she has "a caseload of learners beyond capacity." If you are looking for support for your child I would definitely seek out another organization.

I was trying to tell him and every time he did let me talk he ignored everything I said and just kept trying to book me in a different location. For someone that works in a therapy/counseling office you would think that they'd listen a little better. I ended the call feeling even more frustrated than I when I first called. I kept asking to talk to someone else and he still didn't give me a direct response. At this point, I'm obviously not going to book here. I didn't even get a chance to make an appointment or get any of my questions answered properly.

To be fair, I'm not basing this review on the $135 they charged me for a last minute cancellation…read more I understand that there are policies in place and am more than happy to comply. My issue is with the overall experience I've had with their therapists. The first therapist I worked with was Katie. She showed up late more than once and even went as far as to cancel an appointment with me the day of without notice. I was ready and prepared for our session to start. I waited and waited and she was a no show. The owner had to track her down before I was informed of a "scheduling mix up." I find it funny how they can charge clients if something comes up last minute but the client cant charge the therapist for being a no-show. That same therapist also sent me a very sexually explicit text message that was intended for her boyfriend and apologized to me for her unprofessionalism. That's when I decided to switch therapists and scheduled an appointment with Jael. She seemed like a nice woman but absolutely nothing she said was worth $160. It was very basic information I've looked up online and heard on YouTube. Mindshift Psychological Services (formerly Mindshift Wellness Center) has not been beneficial for my mental health, and I haven't had a positive experience with them. The two therapists I worked with came across like amatures and at this point I'm ready to take my money elsewhere.

The technician that was assigned to our son (the second time) noticed that he showed behavioral patterns that indicated SPD. Neither my wife nor I were familiar with this, and the tech suggested some resources for us to read and learn from (one of which was The Out Of Sync Child, which comes on an audiobook). I am always thankful for YI and that tech, as, until our son could officially be diagnosed (later diagnosed as autism), that tech integrated her therapy to be in line with children who have SPD. Unfortunately, SARC assigned another agency to our son (as he required many more hours, which YI couldn't meet; as well as other services that YI doesn't offer). That agency, among many other problems, didn't know (or bother to learn about) SPD. Fortunately, after pushing our Regional Contact for another agency (as well as asking to go back to YI, as, even though our son was getting fewer hours, those hours were FAR MORE SUBSTANTIVE than the new agency--in fact, he was REGRESSING with the new agency), the new agency (which could meet the new hour demands and other services) knew about SPD and their techs are trained about it.
