Seemed like they just tried to save money every chance they had. For example the food was not good. They want you to feel like you need them to stay clean. They knew about vivitrol and never informed me about it. Vivitrol is what got me clean.

This is the only therapist that helped me through child hood stress and trauma and used a body technique called "Energy Therapy" which were body tapping techniques and visualizing the actual traumatizing situation to over come it. He can't remove a memory but he can lessen the feeling attached to the memory so that it is not so painful or so it doesn't get in the way of your day to day life. Dr. Horton helped me in conjunction with a psychiatrist with my mental health. I seemed to have gotten increasingly better and better with the therapy and medications. He helped me to have a better understanding of my fathers death and mom mothers remarriage to my step dad. We were clearly explained and included in the therapy, and CARD provided in-school therapy working with the teachers, in-home therapy as well as center based and "community" therapy where therapists went with us out in the world as our child interacted. We always had a clearly communicated plan and they were quick to adapt and evolve the plan as our son's needed changed and evolved. Our son learned skills here most importantly that can help him interact with the world. I'd recommend ABA and CARD based on our experience for sure.

I work for a school district and a CARD clinical supervisor had reached out to me to collaborate in supporting a student we have in common. The clinical supervisor no showed the meeting she spearheaded. I had rearranged my schedule AND my student's schedules to accommodate her preferred time. She takes a week to respond to emails. When she finally does, says she is available to connect for the next hour and does not provide a way to connect with her directly. This supervisor and organization have been disrespectful towards my students, their time, me and my time. Due to ongoing unprofessional and disrespectful behavior, and defensiveness of her behavior, she and I will not be able to form a working relationship to support the student. This clinical supervisor defends her unprofessional behavior by expressing she has "a caseload of learners beyond capacity." If you are looking for support for your child I would definitely seek out another organization.
