Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy

My son has been attending Leaps and Bounds for about a year now, and I can honestly say it's been…read moresuch a positive experience for our family. The front staff at the Norco location are always incredibly helpful, patient, and welcoming. I tend to ask a million questions, and they never make me feel like a bother, they always take the time to make sure my schedule is taken care of and that I have everything I need. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and very organized. Everyone we've encountered has been friendly, professional, and truly invested in the kids they work with. It gives me peace of mind knowing my son is in such a supportive and positive space. I would highly recommend Leaps and Bounds to any parent looking for services like PT, OT, speech therapy, or any specialized support for their child. We've had nothing but a great experience!

I have had mostly positive experiences with other therapists; however, my experience with Courtney…read moreWyman was disappointing. I felt that she did not allow enough time for my child to transition and adjust before ending the session, and her manner felt rushed and harsh. As a parent, I suggested that next time my child be given a brief moment to finish cleaning up the toys, especially since there were still five minutes scheduled for parent discussion, which were not used. She did not acknowledge this suggestion and instead stated that she needed to end the session because she had another patient. At that time, our session had not yet ended, and there were still approximately three minutes remaining in the parent discussion period. I explained that allowing less than 30 seconds to clean up helps prevent triggering my child, as children on the spectrum can be very sensitive to abrupt transitions. Unfortunately, her response and facial expression felt cold and dismissive, which made the interaction uncomfortable. I was disappointed by this experience, as I expected a higher level of patience and understanding from a professional working in this field. Effective therapy requires flexibility, empathy, and collaboration with parents, and I did not feel those qualities were demonstrated during this session.

This review is specifically regarding the office staff and administrative processes at Learning…read moreTree, and is not a reflection of the clinical or direct services provided. I am leaving this review in hopes that the business owner and staff will use it as an opportunity to improve services for our community. Over the past three months, I made repeated attempts to connect with Learning Tree for an intake appointment. I left multiple voicemails and submitted the online intake form, and received no response at any point. After months of silence, I decided to stop by in person while running errands nearby. When I arrived, the front office was unstaffed. I could hear staff upstairs -- footsteps and conversation -- and called out several times hoping someone would come down to assist me. After waiting several minutes with no response, I called the office phone number. It rang through to voicemail, and still no one came downstairs to answer. When two receptionists eventually came to the front, I explained my three months of unanswered outreach. I was told that my intake form had likely been misrouted to the wrong location and that they had no record of my voicemails. I also noticed that the missed call I had placed while waiting in the lobby was visible on their phone -- yet neither receptionist made any attempt to return that call. I chose not to mention that it was me who had called, as I wanted to observe whether callbacks were part of their standard practice. It appears they are not. While I was being helped, the other receptionist took a phone call. Based on what I overheard, the caller on that line had also been waiting for a callback since November after submitting an interest form. The receptionist acknowledged this and said she would follow up -- though I was unable to confirm whether she did so before I left. I want to be clear: I am not writing this review out of frustration alone. I genuinely hope this feedback reaches the right people and leads to meaningful changes. Families and individuals seeking services from Learning Tree deserve timely communication and a welcoming, staffed front office. I encourage the owner to review intake routing, voicemail monitoring, callback procedures, and front desk coverage so that community members are not left waiting months for a response -- or standing unattended in the lobby.

She has a ten week program and she eases you into the process of correcting and training your tongue. Each week you get a worksheet to follow along with and practice different training exercises each day. She works with you and shows you each session how to do the exercises and makes sure you leave feeling confident to do your "homework". Be sure to stay on top of the exercises, they really do work! She's very easy to talk to and wants to see you succeed. She always makes herself available by phone, text, or email if you have any issues or questions. Highly recommend if you need to see a speech therapist!

One of the things I appreciated the most about Kelly Brown is that she explained why each exercise she taught and assigned was going to help me and help eliminate my tongue thrust. You can feel the care and love Kelly has for you and your progress. Not only did Kelly help me work around my summer internship schedule but she encouraged me to shoot her a text if I was having any questions or difficulties. Both during my time at Selah Speech and Language and after. The worksheets she refers to as "homework" are amazingly helpful and I would suggest on keeping up with them! She even gave me a cute little purple squirt bottle for some tongue strengthing exercises. (I still have it!). She also gives out great snacks. I was referred by my orthodontist Dr. Larson and Kelly made me feel right at home. I would suggest anyone seeking speech therapy to Kelly Brown, I left my time at speech therapy with my tongue thrust fixed and feeling like I gained a friendship.

She began physical therapy very early (around five months old) and worked with several wonderful therapists before we were referred to Up and Movin' Physical Therapy to continue her care. The team at Up and Movin', especially Ms. Cat and Ms. Bella, devoted incredible time, effort, patience, and compassion to helping my daughter. Their individualized exercises were exactly what she needed to build strength and coordination, and their guidance empowered me to continue her practice at home each day. Thanks to this combined dedication, my daughter began walking independently at 19 months and officially graduated from physical therapy by age two. I am deeply grateful to the entire Up and Movin' staff for their professionalism, expertise, and genuine kindness during one of the most challenging periods of our lives. My daughter is no longer delayed, and we credit her progress to this amazing team. A special thank you as well to Lily at the front office, who greeted us with such warmth and made every visit smoother. To any parent considering this clinic--please don't hesitate. The journey can be tough, but with the support of the Up and Movin' team, your child will be in the best of hands. We will always remember this incredible group who helped our little girl take her first steps. Thank you, Up and Movin' Therapy!

I have mixed feelings on NJA therapy. Getting a consultation was easy, and we were set up with a…read morespeech therapist at the corona office. After about 2-3 weeks of visits, we were informed that our therapist (whom my daughter responded really well to) was no longer with the practice and we would be informed when another speech therapist was available to work with us. After about 8 weeks, I received a call saying they were going to be letting us go as patients due to still not having a therapist available. I was upset because my daughters treatment had been set back and we waisted 2 months waiting, when we could have been seeking treatment elsewhere. I explained that I was willing to travel to the other office (45 min away) if they had a speech therapist there that could work with us. The receptionist said that they weren't accepting new speech therapy patients at their other office so I told her we would wait until a new therapist was available at the corona location. Fast forward a couple of weeks and we start treatment for my daughter again. This is where my review is positive. While under treatment, my daughter not only loved going (she's 3 and very reserved), but she was making GREAT improvement. The speech therapist was thorough and went over what we could work on at home in order to help her improve even more. After a few months of treatment, I received a TEXT saying that that weeks appointment would be canceled because our insurance was no longer working with them and they hadn't received insurance payments. This would have been a bummer, but I explained it was actually our last week with that insurance and that we had new, really good, insurance that would take effect at the beginning of the year. I was told to text over a copy of our new insurance card and we would see if it was accepted. I text over everything, excited to continue my daughters treatment and never heard anything back! So in short, great therapists, flaky communication and reliability. They also had a high therapist turnover rate (we had a few In a matter of months) which tells me that management must be bad! I was a nurse prior to staying home with my children and know bad leadership when I see it!
