My grandfather passed away and was the first family member I had lost in life, and I've always been uncomfortable and confused when dealing with loss, let alone death. The counselors at Central Counseling Services really helped me work through my grief and helped me learn how to process it. Without them, I'm not sure if I would have been ok. I might not have processed it or even accepted it as quickly as I did. I owe a great deal to Central Counseling and the counselors there. The staff is wonderful and the facility is filled with love an care.

Been back and forth with them since Feb. Sent them the insurance invoice that I received from my insurance company saying all of it was paid. They are still harassing me about the out stand balance of $200. Keep in my copay is only $10; which I paid and have the receipts for that too. You're better off find a more organized and professional office. It's a shame because my son actually liked his therapist.

I'm in Anaheim but my insurance found me a list of female providers and the therapy offices' phone numbers to schedule with them. So I called the number and it turns out Abigail from the Corona office answered and handled me very professionally and promptly. She patiently explained the process of how it works when you're a new patient and made sure I was aware of how it works with availability and whatnot and when I got discouraged and disheartened by the seemingly lack of availability she gently listened to my concerns and explained that she just wanted me to know what to expect. I felt much better and decided to continue. Towards the end of the super quick screening process she heard why I wanted therapy and when I was done talking she focused on the part where I casually said I just found out apparently I can't get diagnosed with autism as an adult so the root of why I need therapy is really so I can navigate the world better and not feel crazy -AND SHE SAID THEY DO EVALUATIONS and basically just brought hope and joy back into my life I'm crying tears of joy as I write this ending because now it sounds like she was just doing her job but I haven't been able to find any hope for getting evaluated since I've been finally trying to like how is it possible that not everybody in the mental health field knows who or where is offering what and I wish someone would've told me sooner but nonetheless I am ever so grateful to Abigail please keep her she is a gem anywhere she goes so treat her right please and learn from her! The website gave me the option of in person or video appointment. I picked the in person option and a couple days later I received my confirmation email confirming my in person appointment with the address of the facility. I also received some documentation that I completed prior to the appointment. On the day of my scheduled appointment I arrived 15 minutes early and was informed right at my appt time that there was a confusion and my consultation was over the phone. So unfortunately I did not get to see anyone even though I drove down there. Their location is very pretty and calming though.

Trying to schedule a new patient appointment with Lyndee, the owner of this practice was beyond…read moremiserable. Clearly shes not empathetic to new patients and much too much busy for new appointments for non-patients. I requested her specifically due to the form of therapy she does. But her receptionist, appointment scheduler just turned me away. I was referred to other 'clinical' therapists that i did not care for because they do not do the kind of therapy that Lyndee does. Lyndee's form of therapy from her website states: "Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). Empath. Do any of these words sound familiar to you? Have you ever felt or have been told that you are "too sensitive"? Maybe you have felt empathy for others on such a deep level that is hard to explain. You may feel as if you actually begin to take on the mental and emotional state of another and find yourself dealing with added anxiety, depression." Clinical Psychologist don't connect this way which was why i asked for her. But she's too booked up for new patients. So when professionals are too busy, too booked up WHY would they be open to new patients? She should perhaps CHANGE the notes in her profile that shes NOT open to new patients. She was referred by IEHP, i am only 8 min. away from her office. Her consultations dont take more than 1 hour. Yet Lyndee is too busy to squeeze in an hour of her busy schedule to take a new patient TO HELP. Perhaps her empathic ability doesn't connect to new patients that need her. Very disappointment. Yelpers, I Do Not recommend this therapist. Lyndee is too booked. RESPONSE TO LYNDEE'S RESPONSE: You told your office what to tell me. Your office didn't say what i was told. You told the lady in your office to tell me that a clinical therapist could be referred. You told your office you were too booked. Be more accountable of what you told your office what to say to me. Since my last session with Patricia, I've found a new partner and wanted to ensure that our relationship started on the right track. I'm happy to say that Patricia and her team have been incredibly helpful once again. In the past, Patricia helped me grow and develop so much insight. It's hard to find a counselor who genuinely cares and is as skilled as she is. I've tried many counselors in the area, but none compare to her techniques and experience. I started counseling about a year ago feeling lonely and empty, but Patricia took me out of that dark place. While I saw a few others as well, they were not as skilled as Patricia. I cannot thank Patricia enough for helping me find myself again after my relationship trauma. She has taught me valuable skills to be strong again, and I feel empowered because of her guidance. I would not recommend Patricia Chan to anyone. My family hired Patricia to provide both in person…read moreand online therapy sessions - her services were unprofessional and biased. For insight on this, as well as to how she responds to criticism, take a look at how she responds to negative reviews on Yelp. She routinely hides behind her "Board of Directors" when it comes to any complaint. She commonly responds to concerns with statements like, "all decisions are made by the board" and "I have to ask the board" - however, public records show that she's the only director. It was a struggle to obtain any kind of billing records from her and her team as they were extremely unhelpful and uncommunicative. She was, however, happy to take almost $7000 from us. My family had to obtain therapy from a different, more reputable therapist because of the trauma went through with Patricia Chan. We considered reporting her but decided we wanted to wash our hands clean of the trauma and move forward with healing instead. If you're considering her services, please do your research and find a therapist with the right credentials for your individual situation. Understanding the differences between LCSW, LMFT and PsyD will be very helpful. UPDATE: I had photos of my receipts and her business name filing showing her being the only director. Patricia Chan got my photos deleted and responded to this review (in the third person - in all other responses, she responds directly). She's also using the "this person was never a client" excuse and (passive aggressively) claiming defamation. Again, she provided therapy for members of my family - not me directly - that I paid for. There are many situations where this might happen, including but not limited to: a parent obtaining therapy for a child; a child obtaining therapy for an elderly parent; etc. But I'm not surprised she used that excuse, as that was the same excuse that was made when attempting to resolve this issue at the time of conflict. There's also a difference between defamation and sharing a negative experience regarding interactions with a business - this is my honest review of my family's experience with Patricia Chan/LiveWell Therapy. I'm happy to provide copies of my receipts and emails (me communicating directly with Chan) for anyone else having issues with this business - feel free to message me.
