I recently was recommended to a therapist come to find out this particular therapist is and intern she is amazing. My husband and I have gone to 8 other counselors. One in particular for a year and a 1/2 before I quit thinking to myself why am I going to this license therapist of 30 something years and all he ever does is tell my husband to love your wife he doesn't give us any tools nothing. I could go out to coffee with my girlfriends vent to them for free. Most Counselors are just glorified over paid listeners. Not this amazing intern Arima Williams on her 3rd counseling session she was able to help me to come to a revelation that made me cry!!! Amazing I feel like she's doing this for all the right reasons and not just for the money. Looking for more break throughs!! I see healing in the near future!!! I'm not one to write reviews but Dr. Wheeler is just amazing. I wish I would've found her sooner; she made me realize several things in such a short amount of time. Her weekly homework assignments are life changing! I've never had luck finding a therapist that'll want to get to know the root of the problem and where many problems of my life stemmed from. A wounded inner child is a real thing and not many professionals will tend to focus on this when they should. She made me feel very comfortable whenever I became emotional as well. I have been speaking with Dr. Wheeler for a few months now and let me start by saying her approach to therapy is like none other. She has made me feel more comfortable opening up and making the most of our time each session. She is always on time to our phone meetings and makes sure to give me her undivided attention and tools to help me through whatever I am dealing with. She consistently references the many notes she's taken from my previous sessions to streamline our process of growth. Also, her book is amazing and such a great additional tool to use throughout the week until we have another session. Her prices are beyond reasonable for the care she provides. We had a wonderful experience with Dr Wheeler! She is a very warm, caring counselor. Her understanding of communication is the best! We learned new ways to work out our issues. And find the love we thought we had lost! Higher Love Counseling really works! Give this agency a try! Dr Wheeler offers super helpful groups to learn new skills to engage with your partner. It's best to do research and maybe meet up for at least one session to get a feel, with a potential therapist before deciding on one. Looking back, Dr. Wheeler did not help my husband and I's relationship. We had many problems afterwards, more than we did before starting our sessions. Once we realized that Dr. Wheeler was turning us against each other, and having us do individual sessions (which is unethical) as opposed to the correct way of doing couples therapy (with both of us present at the same time), we immediately stopped our sessions, and that's when things turned around for the best. Just glad we left in time before she destroyed our marriage all for profit. read more

Dr. Wheeler is amazing. She has so much experience and knowledge with couples as well as individuals. My husband and I were having so many marital issues. We did couples counseling and individual counseling with Dr. Wheeler and we both came out learning more about ourselves than before as individuals and a couple. During tough times in life it's a gift to find someone to help you through like Dr. wheeler has with me. Even though it's difficult to work through, she has the expierience and knowledge to dig through the crap and help heal. I have personally been to her workshops and LOVE them. They are so insightful and teach one so much about themselves and how to cope and deal with personal issues. I have been to other therapists, however Dr. Wheeler is by far the best and gets to the core issues with compassion and patience while giving/teaching the tools to heal oneself. Dr Wheeler is an absolutely amazing therapist! She is selfless, hardworking, caring and she really loves to see her clients grow and become happier. She has a women's group, she teaches her clients how to use tools and how to have better relationships with their significant others. I would not recommend Dr. Wheeler. She is extremely forgetful (you will have to repeat yourself excessively) and only cares about pushing her book down your throat. Her office is located in a seedy area and also needs to be updated. Dr. Wheeler says things that are ethically inappropriate. All she wants is your money, she gives therapists a bad name. read more

Dr. Wheeler is beyond amazing. What she did for me was life changing. Here books and workshops are not only enjoyable, they are easy to put into practice and see immediate results. Dr. Wheeler has helped me in many aspects of my life. I had several difficult issues that I was dealing with in my life and she helped my work through and understand my anxiety, depression, impulsiveness, and grief. I attended weekly sessions as well as group counseling sessions and found both to be very helpful and enlightening. Dr. Wheeler is very open and honest. She is compassionate, supportive and understanding. She wants to help people understand and connect with one another within their relationships and help them grow into sustaining a mature and loving adult relationship. We attended Dr Wheeler's higher-love workshop today, it was session 1 of 4, we were open to it going in but found out that we learned so much more then expected. The tools she provides and exercises that she uses to have you practice good communication skills could really come in handy. We plan to take the tools and keep the hand outs from the presentation at home so that we can remember to use what we learned. She makes the workshop very relatable for everyone and we plan to continue working with her in the near future. The only thing I would say is I wish the tables were a little more separated in the workshop so that you can't hear other couples talking while your trying to talk in the private exercises, hearing other people or feeling like that hear you can be a bit uncomfortable, other then that I would do it again and I think it was a great learning experience! I recommend it if your open minded! read more
