    The huge screen for soccer

We visited Beertown on our way to African Safari and very glad we came here! This felt somewhat like an upscale sports bar. The seating, the service and the food were all phenomenal. We came here to watch the Soccer final on a Sunday and enjoyed every bit of it. We got a mojito, guacamole and a poke bowl. Our sever was awesome and she even offered to split the bowl as two of us were sharing that. The gaucamole was excellent and seat was amazing! I really liked that the bar didn't necessarily offer the typical fried food you would drink with beer, but had some really interesting healthy choices too. The food was a bit pricey compared to a regular sports bar but the quality was good. They have 9 screens making one big screen in the center which made watching soccer uber fun! Our server and the manager were both super polite and attended us often. I recommended this place to anyone who would like to enjoy great food and a fun ambience.

Good food, good beer, a good place to hang out with good company. Food is consistent, staff is friendly, washrooms are clean. Nice selection of craft beers and rare these days some non-craft beers too. Enough food selections to please anyone. Unless of course they only eat butter and hot dogs. Check it out it's a good time.

I would have liked to given this location a full 5 stars, but I will admit I was a bit disappointed to hear with my partner when first entering that the beer taps at the tables were not working due to some sort of hiccup from the supplier (as far as I understood the explanation). It was one of the main reasons we wanted to visit... That being said though everything else about the restaurant is great! Right from the beer menu & selection right down to the apps we ordered (poutine & calamari). Definitely will return sometime soon again in the future :)

    "Proper" poutine

Lee and I were staying in the general area, and after quite a bit of hemming and hawing and not really being able to make up our minds between several different venues, we ended up picking this place. Like any other remotely decent place, this place is a madhouse on a Saturday night. The wait was at least 30 minutes, so we settled down to wait. We finally got seated at a hightop in the general area of the bar, which was a little bit packed, and was sort of annoying later on when there was a large group behind me, semi-constantly jostling me. We started off with the poutine, because of course we did. As you know if you read my reviews with any regularity, if there's something resembling poutine on the menu I will usually order it. I don't consider myself a poutine expert, but I liked this a lot. Beer selection here is awesome - all local and interesting beers. If you want to try nice micros, this is definitely a place to head to. I really enjoy seeing local businesses working together! So our mains came - Lee got a burger which he enjoyed very much. I had ordered a grilled cheese with bacon and it was a little bit disappointing, all bread and bacon, definitely lacking on the cheese. All in all this is a nice place with decent service. I would definitely go back for more beer and perhaps try something different off of the menu.

Nice patio. Good food. Lots of beer choices. Add in the top notch graphic design of their menus and this is an easy high review for me. I came with a friend for dinner. It was that unseasonably warm day in early May. We HAD to sit out on the patio, which does a decent job at pretending it's not in the middle of a parking lot. Service was super friendly. I ordered a flight of beer, which is a neat way to drink one beer you like and a few you don't like (but will learn for next time). I ordered the taco trio, which was huge and very tasty. The pork tacos were fantastic, as were the fish tacos (get the grilled rather than the battered, unless you really really like battered fish). The beef was okay. I ordered a salad instead of fries, which was great and not too filling. Good thing because the tacos were very filling. My my friend ordered the wonton chicken nachos or something, which are apparently a big deal at the restaurant's sister location in Kitchener. They were smothered in cheese, so I couldn't sneak any, but she absolutely loved them. This place has a really modern, casual feel. I really love the atmosphere. I'd definitely return next time I'm in town.

There is an outside patio, and a large open interior space - definitely a bit of a biergarden feel to it. You go to the bar to order your food and drinks, and tell the server where you are sitting. They then bring the food out to you. Let's talk about the food! More specifically, let's talk about the poutine! I'm not Canadian, but I have had poutine before - and theirs might be the best I have ever had. The gravy was amazing, you could tell they add beer when they are making it. I also tried their regular cheeseburger - cooked perfectly, juicy, and delicious. If I hadn't had the poutine, I'd give it high marks for the burger alone. Don't sleep on this place, it's great. Now, I don't consume alcohol, so I can't comment on the quality of their beer - but my work colleague said it was very good. I did try their vanilla soda - and it was really good. High marks all around!

It was a "seat yourself", order your food & pick up your own drinks brewpub. The server themselves seemed to be doing little except deliver your food & clear the tables. My food was the TexMex Nacho Wrap ($17.00) w waffle fries. It SHOULD have been piping hot cause it took 45 minutes for us to get our food!! Instead, it was lukewarm with not much taste to it to boot! This was disappointing as the menu (attached) LOOKED very nice but the food disappointed. Our server(s) were less then polite & it kinda turned me off from the get go. As a seasoned restaurant goer...go somewhere else...this wasn't good. To the restaurant owner(s)...do a better job for crying out loud!

They have an eclectic mix of long tables, couches and chairs to sit on (not to mention a very nice bar displaying personalized steins). When I visited, our group had both beer and food. I very much enjoyed their selection of beers with my personal favorites being the Helles and Light options. For the food, we tried their nachos (excellent, lots of toppings and cheese), wings (middle of the road, not great) and chicken tacos (exceptional). The service was outstanding. Our bartender/waiter was super helpful making a number of recommendations on both the beer and food, none of which disappointed. He was attentive and very friendly to our group, even as we stayed past his shift. I can't fail to mention the bathrooms. They are lined with CD covers and cassette tapes. Sure enough, I returned with my wife and our little dog, and we had a really nice time relaxing on the patio. It's a super chill spot with a laid-back atmosphere, and the staff here are genuinely very friendly. This time around I ordered the Weissbier, which I really enjoyed, and my wife got a Mango Mimosa that she also liked a lot. We split the Honey Garlic Cauliflower Wings as a snack. They were decent...maybe a little softer than we would've liked, but the flavour itself was still really good. That being said, we both thought $19 was pretty steep for what you get, especially portion-wise. We definitely plan on coming back again to try some of the mains because the menu looked really appealing. Overall, a great little brewery and a good time all around.
