Awesome selection of beer. Kid and dog friendly. The attached food court is pretty good but they allow outside food as well (pro tip: La Fondita #2 - best tacos in king county). read more

Update: This place has become a day care. There are as many little kids as there are adults, making it impossible to find a table past 3pm. And the parents rarely mind their children. Last night there was a kid's birthday party. I loved Beer Star, but it's a circus now. read more

A regular stop for my family. Got 2 kids and this is one of the few places that have a corral for kids to play (train set, chalk board, books) while you grab a beer and possibly grab food from the vendors in the adjacent area. Lots of sports screens. Oh and this has got to be the best beer selection in Seattle (over 60 taps, I think) and covers the full spectrum of types, with a favoritism toward NW beers. I wish there were more business models like this one. read more

Absolutely my favorite place in White center. Amazing place for finding good beer. The food gallery adjacent has good burgers and Chinese food, you can bring kids and dogs, and there is a great community vibe. read more

It took me a while to get hip to the game, but ever since I started coming here it's hard for me to leave. All the staff are super cool and so are the vibes and the best part of this is that you can bring your kids AND your dog! Tvs everywhere you look. Get here early cause parkings not too great and this place place is poppin so it's always packed! read more

Love love love this place. This is easily one of my favorite places in Seattle! Dog and kid friendly, amazing ever-changing beer/cider selection (both on tap and in the fridge), great back patio, and friendly staff. Also, they have a couple of food outlets attached - Lil Woody's and Southside Pizza, however, you are welcome to bring in your own food as well. read more

We go here all the time. Great selection of beers and wine on tap not to mention a huge selection of bottles and cans in the refrigerators. You can bring in food or there is a Lil Woody's and a Chinese Take Out in the same space. Casual, relaxed, dogs and children falling over each other, outdoor area is a nice touch, too. And the staff are really friendly and want to get to know the locals. read more

Totally a great place for a couple of brews with the kiddos in the family! Adults only section at the bar area like any other bar. Has huge chalkboard and train / toy tables for the non-21 crowd. Not forgetting they have 50 kinds of brews to try. Will come back again! read more

Beer Star is a nice addition to White Center. Great selection of bottled beer and wine, as well as on tap. No food service (yet?) but there are snack items to purchase, and you can bring in your own food to enjoy. There is also a selection of games and a kids' area with a chalkboard wall. The space is open and designed with a clean aesthetic eye! The staff was also very nice and friendly. I'd highly recommend Beer Star if you're a beer/wine enthusiast. Although, I would not come here alone after dark as there are too many sketchy people loitering the streets. read more

Very good beer selection, almost exclusively from Washington. There are two good food options in the venue and they let you bring in outside food. Also, it's dog friendly. The bar tenders on multiple occasions came out with trays for our pup. Definitely one of the more chill drinking environments in white center. read more

Great spot for a relaxing, easy dinner and drink with the family! Good vegetarian options, huge beer selection and friendly staff. It's nice to find a family friendly restaurant environment that doesn't feel like a jungle gym. White center win!!! read more

Beer star is amazing but Southside drags them down. If I owned beer star I'd take a look at the terrible reviews and have a conversation with their owner. I am sure the response is "we cant control them" but the reality is I'd rather grab a beer somewhere that the food experience isnt terrible. read more

Great neighborhood spot. City prices, but nothing crazy. Cool interior decor and back deck space. Menu is really easy to order from. Bartenders are super helpful. Bonus: bring your own food. Anything goes. Bring your dog. Come to admire the dogs. Dogs everywhere. (All very well behaved, except that lady who put her dog on the bench. Bad no no.) read more

Amazing! Wonderful beer selection, great ambiance, and even kid friendly! So glad to have this spot in the neighborhood.

We loved beer star, we loved the food options, we loved the beer, we loved the fact we could bring our dog, I loved the fact that I could get a root beer at lil woody's since I don't drink and we loved the bartenders. There's so many great things about this place but we will not return. Today the place was packed, we just finished eating our bok and bok and drinking a beer. Our dog was with us and my boyfriend was picking out a beer to take home when all of a sudden I hear a big dog bark and turn around and a giant black dog with an obviously fake service dog vest on had my little 14-pound dog in her teeth off the ground. My boyfriend confronted them after I screamed and the dog let her go. While I was checking to make sure my dog was ok the guy was trying to start a fight with my boyfriend over it as if his dog was the one who was attacked. Our dog is around big dogs all the time, she grew up with a big dog and would never step out of her place because she knows her size. Out of a packed place, only one person asked if we were ok and that was a customer, not a bartender or a service person. When he went to go close his tab he asked them if they allowed things like that to happen. I work in customer service so I understand they have no control and have no idea what kind of dog is coming into their establishment, they just trust the owners. We know our dog wouldn't hurt a fly and if your dog will please just leave them at home or make everyone around you aware. The fact they didn't kick the couple with the dog out immediately is what got me, that dog could hurt another dog or even a person. I'm going to miss beer star, if you don't have a dog its a really great place. read more

When there is an adorable Akita chilling behind the bar it becomes my immediate hangout. Blah blah blah with the huge rotating tap selection, wines by the glass and almost wall to wall of beers by the bottle. That is a given for this place named after beer. All good. But treats and water for the doggies that's right up my alley! They even have a place for kids to play in. When you can have happy kids, adults drinking a favored beverage, and even their pets spending quality time together what more can you ask for? Go! And you will see me playing with some strangers doggie, playing a board game, watching some parents having a good time, and maybe even having a beverage or two of my own in hand. read more

One of our favorite spots to hang out with the baby and dog any time of year. They feature an excellent craft beer selection and with large seating environments both indoor and outdoor. We often run into neighbors and sometimes even make new friends here, too. read more

This place is a great addition to the White Center downtown area. The inside seating is gorgeous - wood floors and beautiful wood bar, good layout, and lots of beer options (on tap and in the fridge) as well as some decent wine on the back wall. They have 40 options on tap but half are IPAs (good if you're a fan, which I'm not). Met one of the owners, Devon, who was awesome (and had his huge and relaxed Akita with him). This place is dog friendly! Prices are a little steep, hence the 4 stars. read more

Was there on opening day and many times since. So glad to have this addition to the neighborhood! Nice big space, bring your own food! Can't wait until Lil Woody's goes in in the adjoining space! read more

Great addition to WC and good beer selection. Ordered take out from 2 Shoes BBQ. Comfortable atmosphere with great lighting.

Such a comfortable gathering place! They're dog-friendly and I love how the burger place is connected, so you can drink and get awesome burgers. Of the 4 times I've been here, there has never been a wait. They also have outdoor seating! read more

Queue the demise of White Center. If I wanted to hang out at the food court at the Bravern Mall, I'd move to Bellevue. There was not a single brown face among the hipster crowd there tonight. On the plus side, if you need some imported mustard, this is your place. read more

They had me at dog-friendly and kid-friendly! We finally made it in this past weekend. This is exactly what we've been waiting for in this neighborhood. We sat out on the patio, met friendly dogs and happy patrons, ordered some Bok a Bok to pick up, drank delicious beers and enjoyed what had to be the best late 80s, early 90s progressive/alternative playlist. Beerstar, we will be back to drink more beer and watch the Sounders when they are away... read more

Awesome place in White Center. It gets pretty busy, but there is lots of seating and the service is always great when we are in. Makes it nice you can check the app to see what they have before you go in. read more

Really great bar for a cold beer, cider or wine. A newly remodeled building with a long bar, lots of seating and even an outside patio. There are bottles to go, if that is your need. They owners and bar staff were/are very friendly! read more

I had an extremely bad experience with the bartender. After busing our table, we forgot one water glass and the bartender yelled at us to pick up the water glass (even though every other person in the place had left all of their trash and glasses on their tables and he said nothing to them). When I mentioned this to the bartender he responded that he didn't care if we ever came back. Obviously we will not be returning. read more

Love this new addition to the neighborhood!! They have a great, expansive selection and a variety of nearby food options. It's big, bright and inviting. Highly recommend :) read more

Perfect place for beer lovers who have infants , kids, and dogs! It is a pretty big place with lots of beers on tap . They also have a nice wine selection. If you are hungry you can grab a burger or Chinese food from the joint attached to this place.not in the mood for burgers or Chinese ? Well then can we entice you with a 50 Pc Korean fried chicken wing bucket and kimchi mac and cheese from across the street? Or pizza from proletariat with organic toppings? You choose , you bring it in, no problem. The staff is super nice and the ambiance is hip . Lots of cool moms and dads. There is a lil corner with table and chairs and toys for the lil ones! Parking is good and don't let White center scare you or you'll miss out . A very civilized place all in all . It is almost like No screaming babies or running tots allowed but who knows I've only been there once, perhaps all the lil ones were on their best behavior. Very impressed. read more

Excellent layout and plenty of room for kids and families. Several beers and ciders on tap as well as a large selection of bottled drinks you can either buy to take home or drink there. Oh yeah and they let you bring food in from anywhere. read more

Stopped by to check out this place last night, it's pretty fantastic. Around 40 beers on tap, tons of bottled beers, and super nice staff. The atmosphere is great and the design of the space is beautiful. I will definitely be back and I will definitely be bullying my friends into joining me. read more
