We have always loved coming to Beer Snobs. It's been our go to spot for a fish fry and beers. We haven't been here in a few months due to having a new baby and were excited to go back and see how the new ownership was. Our server Kevin was great - we have had him a few times before and always had great service from him! Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food. Our kids chicken tenders were raw in the middle...and we didn't notice until after they had eaten most of them and I cut one open to eat myself. My perch fish fry was super soggy and I couldn't even eat it. It used to be multiple small crispy pieces that were delicious - now it's one big soggy piece. Our server handled it all great and they took it off the bill. However, disappointed that the new owner didn't come over and say anything. I'm used to some type of manager coming over to say something. The previous owner would always come say hi to every table and would come apologize if there was any issue. He always asked how our food and service was and it was fantastic 99% of the time. Hopefully we don't get sick tonight! We have been here a multiple times. Today we went and had a bad experience which, will make us never go back. First of all, my wife ordered a burger no pink. The burger came out bloody. She also stated she didn't want cheese on it prior to realizing it was not done all the way. The burger was sent back and the waitress was was very apologetic. The burger came back out cooked properly however, again with cheese. The waitress felt bad and said it is only her 2nd day there. We felt bad for her. In the meantime the owner walked by our table numerous of times and didn't stop to help the waitress, or apologize to my wife about her burger. He went to check on most of the other tables except, for the one with a problem. Either it's arrogance, or just flat out lack of customer service/management skills either way, it is enough for us to not support him with our business anymore. read more

A favorite local establishment for a fun casual meal and good beer. Nothing fancy, but food and service is very good and the owner is friendly and engaging. Their reuben is one of the best and the burgers are very good too. Look forward to an in-person sit down post-covid, but in the meantime we'll continue to get take out. read more

Let me start with, we've eaten here at least 4 times before tonight. The place was busy on a Thurs. night. We found a table right away. Which is important. If you don't get a table you stand in a tiny awkward entry way and wait. The decor is relaxed, casual with TV's, and sports stuff in a simple square room. We sat at table #1 right by the kitchen. We got waters and popcorn right away. I arrived a few minutes after my family sat down, parked the car, took a business call and now I'm late. Our server asked about drinks, i said water and she delivered quickly. We were ready to order when my water arrived and she escaped. We waited another 10 or 15 minutes when I tried a few things to get someone's attention. You know how you try to make eye contact with anyone and everyone who works at the Rest. to place your food order? That was me. We order, my son orders a pizza, my wife orders salad and chicken strips and I order the Italian sausage sandwich (no onions), comes with little side salad. Another 15 minutes, the food arrives, A different server this time who puts all the plates on the table and we can figure out who gets what food. Somehow my wife's salad ends up in front of me. I started eating and applying a healthy parm cheese. she looks down and says "I think you're eating my food." A little confusion, we switch plates and back to dinner. My sons pizza looks unappealing. My wife is disappointed in her salad and I was unhappy with my sandwich, which had onions. They sent it back and brought a new meal. I am thinking, let's pay and get out of here. Can't find the server to get the bill. Finally tapped the owner, he finds the bill $44, I pay and start for the door. My cust. experience was less than good due to the delays and order mix-ups. I was frustrated by the lack of respect. I have worked in service positions, service is what sets you a part from the competitors. I'm going to say this team just had a bad night. read more

My wife and I decided to eat at Beer Snobs last night . So my first Beer I ordered the keg was empty and I received a free T shirt . Nice . We then decided to order our meal from Kevin our server . Chicken sandwich with a pretzel bun to split and two cups of clam chowder soup. Kevin asked us if we would like the soup right away and we said yes . Ten to fifteen minutes later and no soup so my wife flagged down Kevin and asked him where our soup was to which he snapped back like a brat kid speaking to his parents" I don't know , I'm not back there making it ". Two minutes later here he comes with the two soups and almost throws them on the table and walks away . No apology nothing. A little while later he brings out our pretzel bun chicken sandwich only without a pretzel bun. It's disappointing to see an establishment like this in the heart of lake country with such an unprofessional wait staff . My wife is not a beer drinker so I had a hard time convincing her to come and eat there with me so I could enjoy a couple of craft beers with our meal . Steve , I'm not trying to get the young man fired but he certainly needs a talking to and an attitude adjustment . My wife will never return sorry . I am glad people seem to love this place, but it is just not for me. I was excited to have a cool casual craft beer bar in Hartland, but nothing about this was what I expected. My boyfriend and I went here for drinks after a recent dinner date hoping for an interesting craft beer list and a bar we could cozy up to. Instead what we got was something that felt a lot more like a sports bar/ family restaurant. The beer list was just not that special and while they did have some Wisconsin beers on the menu, I would be slow to call many of them "craft." I also guess was wishing for some more seasonal rare finds and was pretty surprised that so much of the menu felt like leftovers from the summer selection. Maybe a good place to take the family for wings during a football game, but not the place for a self professed "beer geek" to go for a night cap. I felt very turned off by this place, but again realize that I am probably just the wrong clientele. read more

I occasionally stop in for a craft beer and after seeing their pizza we gave it a try. They offer a number of toppings for one pizza price and offered a variety of toppings including jalapeños. An excellent pizza with plenty of heat! read more

Beer Snobs has a great indoor/outdoor atmosphere, decent (fairly small) menu and a unique selection of craft beer. Our group of 8 was seated fast and all of the staff provided friendly and attentive service. Many of the people in our group however agreed that the food was fairly average. The burger that I had was very bland and I made it about halfway before putting it down. I will say that their giant homemade curly fries that came on the side were spectacular and I finished those off fast! The bottom line; I'd probably come back for a casual drink but most likely skip dinner. read more

I really want to like this place, but it is hard to give it more than 3.5-4 stars. The atmosphere is cool with the high tops looking out the windows, but the food is just a little lacking. There is a much better spot in Hartland for a burger. If you wanna come for a beer and some cheese curds, then this is the place for you. Great beer selection!!! Tasted fresh and was very cold. Wife and I both got a flight. Tall flight glasses. Also ordered pizzas and salad. All food was fresh and came out timely. Overall atmosphere was great. Wasn't any greeter but easily assumed seat yourself. Friendly staff. Highly recommend! Only negative is the price. Everything is a bit expensive. We were looking for a greasy bar burger, but as we were driving through Hartland, we saw that Beer Snobs is now open, so thought we'd give it a shot. It was probably 6:30 on Saturday night, and it was pretty busy when we walked in. We were able to grab 2 seats at the bar and had two bartenders taking care of us right away. There was a great selection of unique beers on tap, and I sampled a couple before settling on the Big O. The food menu isn't super extensive, but did include burgers. I got a bacon cheeseburger and my husband got their mac and cheese burger. Sitting at the bar, we had a full basket of popcorn to munch on while we waited for our food. I was in the (clean, well lit) bathroom when the owner delivered our food, but the presentation looked great. And the taste lived up to it...delicious burger and side of fries. It was just what we were looking for. The pizzas we saw come out looked good as well. By the time we left, it had gotten a lot more crowded and noisier, which is probably a good sign for a business on a Saturday night. Great beer selection, great apps. My friends and I met up here every monday night this past summer after playing soccer. There was a large beer variety which was fun to try a different one every visit. The owners are friendly and attentive. The food is all really good. I recommend the fish fry on friday nights! My only concern is with the staff. Today my family and I chose to use our one meal of eating out for the week here. To say the least, we were very disappointed. I ordered a Mac and cheese bowl which was supposed to come with a side of bread and a choice of root beer or beer. We go to pick up the order which was supposed to have a full size cup of root beer, but instead had a kid sized cup, and wasn't even half full. Great food, fun beer list, TERRIBLE service! The owners act like they are doing you a favor coming to there bar. They micromanage to the point that the staff, which has great potential, can't get anything done without the owners slowing them down. Tonight we had a wrong order placed. No problem usually, things happen. My order was delivered over 35 minutes after my wifes. The owner, Steve, looked at us, took my meal off the bill, and acted like he did me a huge favor. Great place for a wide selection of Craft Beer. The pizza is fantastic. Hartland has needed a place like this. The two owners seem to really care about their customers and one or both are always present. Not a huge selection on the menu but so far everything I have had was delicious. We have been to this place twice now, and the food is decent. However, the service is awful! The waiting staff disappeared the entire meal and it was over an hour before we got our food. Our drinks were never refilled and our food was wrong when it finally got to us. Honestly one of the worst restaurants I've been to in a long time. Not worth your time! read more

I saw this restaurant on The Friday Fish Fry page on Facebook. My wife asked if we could go out for dinner tonight. I thought of the picture from Facebook and thought this would be a great place to try. We were not disappointed. The beer was great, the food delicious, and the owner and server we had (Harry and Brittany) were considerate. The picture I saw on Facebook looked like you got hush puppies. Wrong, they were three delicious cinnamon donuts. An unexpected and great little surprise. For $10 you get a 2 piece dinner that was more than filling. Sorry Culvers, but this beats your fish dinner fins (or hands) down. We will be back to enjoy this establishment again! read more
