I would update this review to 5 stars based off alone the beer selection they provide to the neighborhood. However, recently I came in and this isn't normal service and I hope it changes. Maybe I met a fluke new bartender that knows nothing about pouring a proper pint. But I bought a specialty can for myself and a pint for my boyfriend. Initially, I asked if they had any red ales or ambers, brown ales and he said we have a lot of nice stouts and porters. My boyfriend is definitely not into dark beers (i wish) but any moron would know an Amber or red ale anything what I mentioned isn't pitch black and sweet as syrup. So I looked at beers on tap for him. He poured me a Czech beer and the foam head was 4 inches at least thick. I was told it's an "experience". And when my boyfriend was also considerably upset he said "it's an experience". I paid $9-11 for an experience of missing half his drink in a smaller sized pour of a normal 14-16 oz mug. He gave back the drink because he was so unhappy with it and he did nothing to remedy the situation. I get you let drinks settle but that's not how your pour a pint at least not in the USA. He asked if it could be filled the remained and he said absolutely not. lol. Ridiculous. Hoping things get better here because I love craft beer spots and they are a dime a dozen but not when they shaft you. Also please bring back the jammy peanut butter sour. read more

Still a solid beer spot with a good collection of brews - since the last time I was here though, they have fewer cans to go. Some of the fridges replaced by additional seating. A good change if you're looking to drink there, maybe less ideal if looking to grab some to go. Regardless, would still recommend as I always find at least 2-3 specialty options I like!! read more

A low key beer bar with rotating taps and a decent selection of bottles and cans you can enjoy there or take to go. There is an uncorking fee if you are going to have your bottle there. The fridge selection was very IPA heavy so if that is what you're looking for this is the place. read more

Looking for a drink in the area. They have a good selection of craft beers , but we were in the mood for wine. Bottles are only to go. Maybe there were 3 or 4 wines to choose from. We had two small glasses of wine for $10 each and a warm pretzel for $5. A tad pricey for the wine given the scenario outside in a shack by the curb. If it was a fair price for beer I wouldn't mind. $10 for a small glass of vino? , meh. Service was good given we were the only souls there. I was in town last weekend visiting, and I ended up stopping here 4 times. I loved coming here. If you're a craft beer fan, you might not find a better spot in Manhattan, both in terms of the variety (plenty of every style, I never had the same beer twice) and price, with some cans as low as $3. They have about 10 drafts, and then multiple fridges filled with cans that you can drink on premises, or buy 2go. I love that design for a bar, and wish more places would do it. It's small, so not a whole lot of seating inside, basically just the bar, but they have outdoor seating set up. Bartenders were all super nice and cool to talk to. It's kind of un assuming, and you might miss it just walking down the street, but I highly recommend checking it out. It's worth making the trip here, and if I ever find myself back in NYC I'm definitely making a point to come back. read more

Amazingly open on a Tuesday afternoon with absolutely no one inside. Small shop with a few beer fridges up front and a small bar area at the back to taste some of the drafts available. Pricing here is pretty good - the 12 item draft line ranges $6-12 depending on type and size. On top of the that, there is a 15% off happy hour special on draft items. While settling on a few IPAs, there is also complimentary peanuts to munch on (always a plus). Bartender here is talkative and friendly, as well as some solid music in the background. Not much a food list, but they do allow outside stuff if you see fit. read more

Found this gem during the heart of COVID-19 and been coming back ever since. Been fortunate enough to converse and get to know a few of the staff members and exchange some knowledge about craft beer. A small yet one of the better bottle shows that the city has to offer. Expect to get the usual local breweries along with some out of state beers that may be harder to come by. I've yet been able to experience some indoor drinking here but was able to enjoy some outdoor drinking and fun. So after reading all the great reviews we decided to walk over and check it out. I went to the bartender and asked if they had any dark amber beer and he said with a bit of an attitude people don't really make amber beer anymore and amber is just a color. He did say there are some European beers in a cooler. I responded "should I just go over there and have at it?" Yeah he said. We found an ok beer and left after having it. This place is awesome. Small, a bit dark for my old eyes but well worth the visit. Bar staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Stopped in for the first time yesterday and went back again today because I was so impressed with my quick visit last night. They must have 200+ selections available for carry-out (or to enjoy there) and another kick-ass selection of 8 drafts which they can pour into a Crowler (32oz can) for you to take on the road. I opted for the Other Half DDH Citra Daydream for a cool $12. Can't beat that for quality and value. Two thumbs way up for Beer Run, I'll be back, probably tomorrow read more

This bar is a great addition to the neighborhood for beer lovers! Beer Run is a hole in the wall Tap room / Beer shop. Bar seats about 10-12 people with some additional standing room in the front of the store. Tap list is always good and constantly rotating. The coolers are also stacked with cans and bottles of every type of beer and there is always something new in there. I always find something I have never seen before and will usually pick up a couple cans. John, the owner is usually there (He is very friendly) and is more than happy to point you in the right direction if you need help picking out beers. Seems like this spot is going to be sticking around for a while! read more

Very interesting and novel setup for what is essentially a tasting bar for beer. Pours come in large and small, with a very laidback (but attentive) staff, coupled with a wide variety of craft brews for you to sample. This small space is also lined on both sides with fridges containing the beers on tap...meaning you can buy and take home what you like.
