DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SIGN UP FOR COURSES! UNPROFESSIONAL AND AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! If you are not a…read morereturning family, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME trying to sign up for a course. For some of us who only have one child who will be driving in our families, they do not want your business, it appears. LOOK AT OTHER DRIVING SCHOOLS! Do not waste your precious time waiting until the 16th of the month to even try to sign up for courses. I was told to call at 10am on the 16th of the month and I could sign up with the office person. I wasted 2 weeks and a half hour of my time waiting to sign my child up for a course, and was told at 10:30am that all the intermediate courss were full and there was only 1 novice course was available. The phone was busy or was forwarded to a completely different number for a half hour, then when my call was answered at 10:33am, I was told the courses were full for the entire month of July except 1 course, which was not the right course for my child. The person who answered the phone was so rude and condescondescending. I told them when I called the office 2 weeks ago, I was told to call at 10am and if they only started answering how did all of the courses fill in 3 minutes. When I asked how all of the courses could have filled, they said "Do you reall want me to explain to you?". They only open their phone lines at 10:30 and all of the courses were filled by returning families. They played the "I don't know who you talked to 2 weeks ago" card, then continued to be defensive about their flawed business model and terrible customer service. Maybe if you are a returning family, this place is decent, but if you are not a returning family, DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME with a phone call or any further research on this company.

I had a deeply disappointing experience with this driving school and would not recommend it…read more My instructor told me directly that I'm "not a bad driver," but that he personally wasn't going to pass me this time -- implying other instructors would have. His turn instructions during the test were sudden and confusing, which made it hard to execute them safely and smoothly. I was told I would get three practice/test attempts, but only two actually took place. The "third" session was conducted entirely on the freeway, with no instruction or guidance given at any point -- and the freeway isn't even part of the standard test route. During my last lesson, I noticed the instructor appeared to close his eyes for a few minutes at one point. I raised this with the school, and they said they would review the in-car recording, but I never heard back. The school then told me I could pass if I paid for one more $200 lesson. Given time constraints, I agreed -- but no one followed up with me afterward to schedule it. Based on everything above, my honest read is that the instructor was simply exhausted after back-to-back lessons that day and didn't want to make the trip to the DMV to file paperwork, so he found reasons to fail me -- or wanted an extra lesson fee out of it. Overall, a frustrating and unprofessional experience. I can't recommend this school.

We initially heard about Roadmaster from my brother. He attended there and after graduating went to…read morework for Werner. Based on his recommendation, my husband and I called and made a same day appointment to get more information and check the school out firsthand. Our appointment and ongoing contact was with Carlos. He explained their program, gave us a tour and answered our questions. He was very personable and relaxed. No pressure. We spent about a week discussing the logistics of going to school and basically making a career/life change. After that things happened pretty quick. We again met with Carlos. Then we met with Janessa who answered all our questions about Werner. Janessa is awesome! She and Carlos took care of all the paperwork and got us a prehire at Werner Enterprises. (Although the school is owned by Werner, there are other options.) Brittany, who handles financing, walked us through the process. Classes start every Monday. We picked a start date then used the time to study for our CDL permit. Sidenote: Get CDL permit, drug test and DOT physical before starting classes if possible. You will get out of the classroom and to the core elements of the program quicker. Plan on classes taking up a major part of your life for a short time. The program is 160 hours. It is Monday thru Saturday from 7am-6pm with an hour break for lunch at noon and a couple smaller breaks. The goal is to prepare you to take and pass your CDL test. To do this they focus on the three parts that will make up your CDL test: Pre Trip, maneuvers and driving.

I'll start by saying that this can easily be called an "experience." Becoming a bartender is only a…read moresmall part of what this program is really about. I've never paid so little and received so much in return. I believe this class is for people of all ages. Even if you're already a bartender, I think the 32 hours of training are well worth it. If you've ever wanted to become a bartender, this class will put you well above other candidates applying for bartending jobs. If you're single and simply looking to meet new people, this is a great opportunity. For me, it was a wonderful bonding experience and a chance to make new friends. If you're married or part of a couple, whether you're looking for employment or not, you'll become much more knowledgeable about what to serve guests at home, parties, and special events. If you're still figuring out what you want to do as a career, this class offers much more than bartending skills. You'll learn valuable interviewing techniques and professional skills that can help you pursue almost any job. If you already have a favorite drink that you order at restaurants, prepare to expand your horizons. You'll discover drinks you never knew existed and learn which cocktails pair best with different meals. I'm also speaking to anyone investing money in higher education, whether that's college, trade school, or career training. The relatively small cost of this class can easily pay dividends if it helps you land a job at one of the thousands of establishments throughout the Valley that serve highly profitable alcohol. Think you don't have the time? They offer weekday, weeknight, and weekend classes. Even better, the cost includes your Arizona Food Handler's Card and Arizona Title 4 Certification to serve alcohol. Just as earning an Eagle Scout rank or a college degree can open doors, so can bartender certification. The classes are intentionally small--around 10 students or fewer--which means you receive plenty of one-on-one attention from the instructor. My instructor was Greg. He shared incredible stories, was extremely encouraging, remarkably patient, and genuinely determined to help every student succeed and pass the course. I truly don't believe there's a better value anywhere when it comes to education, training, or life experiences than ABC Bartending School. And honestly, this review is only what comes to mind off the top of my head. I've left out so much more. Highly recommended.
