Each season we have bees come along and make their hive in our oak tree. The main problem was that they would be walking on the ground during the day and we would wake up to a sea of dead bees on our drive way as I guess at night they would be attracted to the dim security lights. At the time we had a dog and from time to time he would have a stinger on his paw. I'm prior seasons we had contacted a few but either the price was too high or it was difficult to schedule something. This year the wife found beekeeper nova and Swvin responded promptly to a direct message and he came out in a few days. The bee hive opening is roughly 20 feet up in the tree. Swvin did not hesitate to climb up his ladder and take out all of the old hive, fill it with a mud mixture, and apply three to four wire meshes to keep the bees from getting back in. While he was up there we talked and he answered all of my bee questions. When it did get warm, those honey bees really wanted back in. Each day they just tried and tried to get in. About three weeks later we are in the house and hear the loudest buzzing from the backyard. It was a huge cloud of bees and they really were trying to get in. About an hour later the swarm was gone. Later in the week my daughter noticed they would land close to the lower mesh and walk right in so somehow they got back in. I messaged Swvin and he said he would come out after the storms. He came out the following week and said they had broken through a rotting portion of the oak. He took out the new honeycombs that were built and meshed up the new opening. Since the bee hive was so big, he can't clean it up from outside, so he brought two more people to help him next day.
