I came in to Beechwald bicycle to get my bike repaired. I gave him specific instructions, Tires, tubes, tune-up and my pedals. I came back a week later and noticed that my pedals were done. They charged me $60 more to complete it. 4 rides into my season and the tires are already wearing out. Don't go here!! read more

Dropped my sister and my Treks off here yesterday after learning from owner Mike that all work was estimated and a la cart (unlike the Trek Store that offers service starting at $99 for a tune up). The space was typical of a local bike store (accessories and helmets in addition to rows of bike floor models to test) and their customer service was exceptional. I met with Luke and he immediately diagnosed my bike only needing air in the tires, no charge and my sister's would need a safety check and minimal parts under $50. Luke also shared some great info with me on the type of bike rack I should invest in for my car. Both Mike & Luke were very knowledgeable when I had questions. I'm supporting family business and getting 10x the customer service than I ever received from the franchise stores when I shop here. It makes me feel good and it's supporting local which is so important, especially right now coming up and out of the pandemic. read more

After needing to find someone to help with fixing my bike, I have come to a verdict: BEECHWOLD BICYCLES HAS MY BUSINESS FOR LIFE! Day and night service from this business and Johnny Velo and Orbit Bikes. Both of those businesses were completely hands off, only gave terrible excuses as to why they can't do the work. Whereas at Beechwold Bicycles, the second we entered the door, the owner's son, Luke, jumped into solving our issues, took the bike and literally fixed one of the problems in 60 seconds. Literally. My bike had squeaky brakes. Other bike shops charged me for repairs and then told me the squeak couldn't be fixed, or that it was a common problem with disc brakes -- I assumed they were telling the truth. I brought my bike into Beechwold to get a tune up, and I mentioned the squeaky breaks just to see if they might have a solution. The first thing they did didn't work, so I brought it in again (as they'd asked me to), the second fix didn't work, so I brought it back again, and they basically replaced both breaks and the pads for free. I'd paid for the initial fix, but they really went out of their way to try and fix my squeaky breaks and I appreciated it. They were also always super nice and explained what they thought was going on with the breaks. Highly recommend. I will be back (hopefully not because my brakes are squeaking). read more

The teenagers running the shop are in way over their heads when it comes to E-Bikes and customer service. My original request was a simple brake bleed. Their policy is "done tomorrow by 3:00 the next day unless we call". I arrived the next day at 3:30 and the bike had not been started. I had walked 7 miles to get there to pick up my bike. I sat there for an hour while he worked on my bike. Three walk-ins also came and received immediate attention. Good for walk-ins, bad for scheduled customers. He needed to order a caliper - we agreed on a rotor/caliper upgrade but it had to be scheduled - to be done in a week. Arrived in a week (no call) and they had not touched the bike. I was also reading about my bike and it has a power-off switch. The caliper he ordered does not have it. He made a unilateral decision I did not need the power cutoff or brake lights. I went in, hoping to talk to the manager but he was out. The shop was run by these kids who don't know what they are doing. He started to hem and haw about what we should order and finally said "take your bike and go - I don't want to work on it anymore". Totally rude, ignorant, and unprofessional. If you have an e-Bike or heavy bike, go somewhere else. Worst customer service ever being run by ignorant high school kids. read more

This bicycle shop is a hidden gem, everyone regardless of the cost of the bike is treated in a respectful way. I stopped in to get a chain fixed on kids bike. The bike repair told me he know exactly what the problem was, he was very friendly and the adjustment was done while I waited. This shop has placed 6ft apart signs and provides hand sanitizer when you enter so you don't need to worry. I didn't take photos but I did notice there were bicycles items that could be purchased, there was no pressure to buy anything but they had some nice helmets so I did get one that fit prefect - they took the time to explain how a helmet should fit. If you want service done right, respectful staff and a waiting area then stop into this local business. Bikes are like cars and they need repairs and this is a shop to go to. read more

What an EXCELLENT experience. I'm so over walking into a bike shop where they "soup nazi" you for not being as up-to-snuff with their bike wisdom. This was the opposite of that. I was greeted and counseled with a genuine sense of respect for who I am and what I needed. When I asked about some options for my bike (like "should I electrify this?") I was given honest answers (like "you don't want to electrify a Cannondale H600"). He could have sold me on the motorization and made a lot of money, but he, instead, encouraged me to preserve the integrity of what he indicated was "a really good bike." I was shocked by the commitment to a 24-hour turnover in the "tune-up" I wanted. Again, my last bike shop said, "leave it... but it will take two or three weeks." The guy who helped me was friendly, his integrity was evident, and the price was reasonable. No need to go anywhere else ever again! read more
