Lily was a great salesperson and very helpful! I wanted a particular saddlebag added to the bike and it did not fit. Kevin, in service spent alot of extra time and effort to find a way to make it fit. They all went over and above with a relaxed family environment. I live in Dayton - but drove here to buy my E-bike from them! read more

Went in with a tire on my vintage bike that was leaking air and they were able to get me fixed up quickly and gave my bike a complete check and tune up! They explained the problem in thorough detail so I knew exactly what the issue was. Shout out to Joe for great service and work ethic. The rest of the team were also super friendly and made sure my bike was in good shape before I left. Prices were very reasonable as well. Happy I found out about this family owned shop and will be back for any of my bike maintenance needs! read more

These guys are top notch. I was looking at new Terra trike, took it home for a week to try. When I returned someone had just traded in fully loaded 5 year old model completely loaded which I opted for. They kept it for a few days (they said a week, but finished early) to completely retune and replace some bearings at no extra cost. If you are looking for a recumbent trike give these guys a look before you purchase. Give yourself some time because they really tailor your purchase to your needs like buying a custom suit. Nick was great. read more

Above and beyond, thorough, takes the time and met my needs, knowledgeable and innovative

I stopped into Bicycle One for the first time to check out the Catrike Expedition. The people there are great to work with not pushy at all. Ty, the sales associate was great he took the time to pull down any of the bikes that I wanted to sit in. They shortened the chain so I could ride out back behind the store. The owner even took me downstairs to show me the color of the bike. They were great people to get along with. Thanks so much Bike One! Loving the bike!! About 100 miles on it already. The store was crazy busy both times we were there, but they still found time to take the to show us bikes and explain things. We are planning on stopping back and letting my wife ride some trikes now too. Ty, the sales associate and Troy, the owner were great to work with!! https://youtu.be/FGUQFGg8C7E https://youtu.be/HEa5koAkKTY read more

Dragged my bike out after 5-6 years on a training stand in the basement (knee surgeries, then PT to loosen up.) Somehow I had messed up the brakes, and it had been, well, years since it had really been ridden or looked at. Brought it here, figuring it would be expensive and there'd be a wait since it is spring and everyone wants a tuneup. They looked it over, told me it wasn't as bad as I had thought, and got it back to me the next day with a tuneup, cleaning, and new cable. Reasonably priced ($90 for the tuneup.) Friendly and expert service. Looks like a good shop with a decent selection, though I really only focused on the service. Handy location. I'll be back. read more

They did a horrible job $100 they "bleed my breaks" which now I have think they are worse and than before for 40 each and "adjusted my chain" doesn't even make a difference from before. They had the bike for 4 weeks and essentially did nothing. So overall it was too expensive and they don't work. read more

So this happened today.... Episode: bicycle shop I decided to take my bicycle to be serviced at the local bicycle shop. I arrived, and two individuals happened to be white men before me; this detail is essential, so stay with me. I patiently waited as the counter clerk took their time to answer every question and fulfill every need of theirs. Previously I observed the clerk asking the gentleman he was serving, "How can I help you?"I was next in line, and it was evident. So evident that Stevie Wonder would have known I was next. However, the counter-clerk said, "MAY I PLEASE HELP WHOEVER IS NEXT..." (two white males had come in after me). I step to the counter and tell him I want my bike serviced. Suddenly, he was in a rush, and he said, "Ummm, yes, can I ask you to give me your number so that I can call you in a few minutes with an estimate?" "id like to take care of the other customers..." I had to pick up groceries from curbside, and the window of time I had to do so was nigh. By the time I got my bike back into the car, I'd have missed the grocery pickup order. The assessment is free, so I just gave the number and left. (I'm not paying to have my bike serviced there now) And, of course, they never called ... read more

The salesperson Joe was knowledgeable, informative and extremely helpful in narrowing down my options, a test drive of an e-bike and available accessories . I placed an order for an Aventon Level 2 with accessories and took advantage of Synchrony Bank's 6 months same as cash offer - with Joe's help. Mission accomplished. Great experience. read more

The staff at Bicycle One are very friendly and accommodating. They know a lot about bikes. New large shop at 358 S Hamilton in Gahana, OH is attractive and they have a lot of bikes, parts, cloths and gear. Also do repair on all brands. And they know Recumbant trikes. Large selection of major brands. Not inexpensive, likely on a par with other shops. As always, could save $$ and buy from lowest price on internet, but would loose all the knowledge, expert fitting and repairs. I am staying with Bicycle One in the Columbus area of Ohio read more

Love Bicycle One! I purchased my E-bike from them 3 years ago and love it. They are very service oriented even after the sale. I get tunes-ups from them and they are always courteous and have my bike ready as promised. read more

The folks at Bicycle One have always been a great resource for me as a biker, and they do great work, but recently I had an experience that compelled me hop on and write this positive review. I bought a bike (not from them) several years ago, rode the heck out of it, and finally a few days ago, cracked the frame. I was crestfallen, as I rode this bike every day. I brought it into Bicycle One, where Troy diagnosed it and gave me the bad news, but immediately lifted my spirits by working through a few scenarios to help me get back out riding. Ultimately, he ended up working with the manufacturer to have a brand new bike shipped to the store within a week, and at virtually no cost to me. You can get bikes and accessories all over the place these days, but I have yet to find a place that has the knowledge of the products and industry that Troy and his family does, and that's why I'll always go to Bicycle One for any of my biking needs. read more

Called the store phone was picked up promptly! Got and energetic Joe on the line that was able to answer all my questions! The store was only 3 miles away from my job (that was another plus)! Was easy to find and a nice lady held the door open for me with the bike which I thought was like was already another great start! Store was very grand and clean! Was full of bubbly bright people! The guys that worked on my bike literally had over 40 years of experience it was an incredible experience! I was ready to leave it over night and one of the guys just started working on it! so they had me in and out in 30 min and were so reasonably priced! And I wanna say one of the owners even helped me out to my car to load the bike into the car! Definitely above and beyond!!I appreciate you guys a lot!! Though there are new shops popping up along the Big Walnut Creek in downtown Gahanna, there are a few places that have been there seemingly from the get go. Bicycle One has actually been there for 36 years. They sell bikes for fitness and for leisure, as well as hybrids which are both fitness and leisure. Prices start in the $200s. A great asset is you can get a free major tune up from Bicycle One for three years if you buy one of their bikes. That includes: adjusting brakes and gears, adjusting bearing preloads, true wheels, inflating tires, lubing the cables and drivetrain, and tightening all other components. Along with bicycles, they sell bike gear like jackets and biking shorts, grip gloves and of course helmets. Fitness snacks and drinks are also available at the checkout counter. read more

I recently came here on the search for some winter biking gear. They didn't have the bib tights I was after but did show me some alternatives. The employee (maybe the owner, I'm not sure) was very knowledgeable and friendly. Being new to Columbus we talked about all the different bike trails around Ohio. He went the extra mile giving me some great tips. This experience was so good, I will definitely be back when I need more cycling gear. Also, Unlike the other shops I went to, he didn't make a big deal about not having my size because I'm too overweight; he instead encouraged me to keep at it. Thanks!!! read more

We purchased two bikes today and our experience was wonderful. Not only was our sales associate very friendly and patient as we tried out different bikes, he was informative and helped us get the right bikes. While their inventory is lower than usual due to the pandemic (lots of new interest in biking for fun - why we went), they have lots of accessories to choose from and a full service department to help those who don't need bikes. I highly recommend them for new bikes or any biking needs as their staff is great and pricing is super competitive. read more

I LOVE this store. After long reviewing my options of a new bike purchase I decided to buy here. They allowed me to put $ down and pay a little over a short period. That was a year ago and I have now put well over 1,000 miles on my Cannondale and plan to continue to put many more miles on it. 3 years of free tune-up's? Heck yeah!!!! Family owned and run... will have my business as long as I am here. read more

AMAZING SERVICE After trying to change a flat tire on a decade-old Huffy Mountain 10 Speed, I called to see if Bicycle One could reattach the rear wheel, after I had successfully replaced the tube and tread. I went without an appointment, and Mitch took my bike back immediately. He put it on the stand and had it back on in minutes, but first he checked the tube and tread replacement. Nick discovered there was a piece of hardware missing from the gear exchange. They searched for one and then put it on. Mitch also gave my gear shift and brakes a good going over, tightening this and loosening that. In addition, the staff carried my bike inside and returned it to my trunk. I have to admit the bike is a busted up, old piece of sh**, but Mitch and Nick treated it as well as one they might have sold to me. There was no attempt to sell me a new bike or even replacement parts for the old. I appreciate that very much. The next time I have a flat or it's time to purchase a new bike, I will head straight to Bicycle One. Thanks, All. read more

If I could give this store more stars I would!!! My son has special needs and the owner worked with my son for 2 hours to make sure he had the perfect bike for his needs and abilities. This place did a great job of tuning up my bike. And to top it off they were running a special so it was an awesome value as well. The staff is attentive, genuine and extremely nice. That was for service at the beginning of the year. Just went in last weekend and there was a team member that was nice enough to open the door for us on the way in and out with our bikes. They quickly were able to install the seat on my gf's bike and quickly fix a minor issue on mine as well. My gf and I thought we'd have to leave them, but we were in and out of the shop in 20 minutes. What great customer service!!! We'll keep taking our bikes here for all our maintenance for sure! read more

I'm a lifelong cyclist who has been off of the bike since returning to Columbus six years ago. I've also been a Cannondale owner for 20+ years or so. I thought it was a good time to get back into it and start fresh with a new bike. After searching Google Maps for a local shop I thought I'd give these guys a try. I worked with owner, Troy, and son, Nick. I found both extremely accommodating and helpful with absolutely zero attitude. I bought a SuperSix Evo and couldn't be more pleased. As long as I'm in Columbus they'll have me as a customer. Highly recommended! read more

Best bike shop in columbus - i took my cannondale bike into trek for a repair and walked out with a $550 quote- drove across town and recieved better service, faster turnaround time, a text communication when my bike was ready early, and 1/3 the bill... store is clean friendly and packed with great priced bikes and gear. read more

My son had "bicycle day" at school last week. Of course the night before, the bike he uses decided to break down. I couldn't really figure out how to attaché the bike back together. Well I always past Bicycle ONE and I just decided to run in there and see if they could help me real quick. and THEY DID! right away! Anthony grabbed the bike fixed it right away and was so cool about it. I let him know I would be back soon to purchase a bike for my wife. Thanks to Bicycle ONE for making "bike day" a success! I will be back soon! read more

Been there two times in trying to get advice on a new FS mtn bike that I want to buy, they carry or can order the Trek or Cannondale. But each time it seems like I am a bother to the salespeople there - maybe it's just the nature of this bike store where the employees are socially awkward or they're just having a bad day. With so many other good LBS around town and on-line competition you'll think when I want to spend $2,500 they would least help me a little more. Once I did call to ask about a bike, it sounded like the owner/older man and he won't answer my question and told me to call back when they're open...really? Why bother to answer the phone then. Sounds like the culture of this store, not sure how the Ptown place is...probably the same. read more

I've been riding for a few years, and I had no idea this shop was here! Bike One agreed to send a rep and some display gear to my workplace as part of our efforts to promote Pelotonia in our workplace. I was considering buying a tri bike, so I stopped in to check one out. It wasn't the one I really wanted (I bought a different model at Tri Tech), but I was very pleased and impressed with the friendliness and expertise of the Bike One staff. Eric has been coming to our Pelotonia "brown bag lunches" at work, which has been great. Dante (the maintenance manager) helped me when I visited the shop last weekend, and got me set-up with new shoes, pedals, and some other accessories. Good advice and a down-to-earth setting (cycling can get a little gear-snooty). This is not a super-chic shop, it is not a hipster bike store, and it is not a place where only super-elite riders are accepted. This is a friendly Mom & Pop shop. I felt very welcome. I hung out in the maintenance area while they put my fit-settings on a bike for to test ride. Prices here are very reasonable, particularly if you are a Pelotonia rider (if you are not, you should be!). Prices aren't bad, but they will give you an additional 10% off bikes, 25% off apparel (including shoes) and 20% off accessories, if you're a Pelotonia rider. This shop isn't near my home, but I really liked visiting. Next time in the area to visit Mezzo (a restaurant neighbor in the Creekside area), I will definitely stop in. read more

Amazing service on the spot! I came in with a flat and the team replaced the tube in a matter of minutes. Not only did I not have an appointment, the staff realized that the thorn resistant tube should not have failed in less than a year. As a result they replaced and charged me a standard tube price. I would happily pay more here anytime to get this type of service. Thanks Bicycle One! read more

That employees at bicycle One Are great, knowledgeable and very helpful. They had quick service and explained it all to me. In this case it was work they had done for me that needed adjustment. This place is fantastic. My wife and I stopped by earlier today wanting to pick up some bikes. We haven't rode in a very long time and were hoping to use cycling to get some much needed exercise. The associate was extraordinarily helpful (young guy - but sorry, I can't remember his name), made suggestions based on what we thought our uses would be, as well as price. We got to take a number of models out for a spin, and walked away with two new bikes that seem just right for us! A++ Extremely happy with our visit, purchase, and entire experience. Thank you. read more

Been to a couple bike stores in my life and they all frustrated me to the point of just going to walmart. Needless to say after that comment im new to the cycling world. I came here and told the owner Troy that this was indeed my first rodeo. I told him my price range and what i thought would be my needs for a bike. He showed me vast amount of options always telling the price before he even began to explain the bike to me. This lead to a narrowing down process that brought me to three bikes to test drive. The one that i ended up with was actually the lowest priced bike just because it checked all my boxes.. Put 20 miles on that bike that afternoon and am already excited about my next bike purchase. which i know will be from this fantastic shop. read more

I got myself and my boyfriend sweet bikes at Uncle Sam's Pawn Shop, and since they'd been in a pawn shop basement for a few months I decided they should definitely get tuned up. I called around to a bunch of places during the busiest time of the year for bike tune-ups. I had been leaning toward Handy Bikes, but I read reviews that they weren't pros. Then, I called B-1 downtown, but they were totally backed up. then I called Bicycle one and the guy on the phone was great. He quoted me accuarte prices and gave me a 3 day turn-around time. It was a-go! We went over to the shop at Creekside and the people there helped us get the bikes in and took a thorough look at them. They honestly didn't want to over-work the bikes if they didn't need it. How nice! They had everything we needed and you don't pay until you pick up. They gave us some options of possible repairs that might be needed after inspection and said they'd call before they did any work that wasn't quoted. Anyway, we picked up the bikes a day late because of rain and they stored them there for us, no problem! We picked them up and they looked great, way cleaner than when they came in and working perfectly. What more can you ask for? They offer off season specials, so check the website for that stuff. They also sell new bikes and bike gear. I didn't get any of that stuff though. I will be bringing my bikes back there again for the next tune-up, but they said we should be good to go for quite awhile. So, who knows when I'll have to go back. read more

I've lived in Gahanna for 7 years and have been in and out of Bicycle One a few times every year. The staff I've encountered is always helpful and attentive though there are times when the shop is very busy and wait times can be 15+ minutes. That aside, I've brought my bike in several times and they've always done a phenomenal job servicing it. Prices are basically the same as the rest of the shops in Columbus. They don't have as big an inventory as a few of the other shops around town but they make up for it with their knowledgeable staff and service department. read more

REI has been my go-to for bikes. But when REI didnt locally stock Cannondale, the REI tech I spoke with sent me here. I am so glad he did. The Bicycle One tech was knowledgeable, personable, and helped me find the perfect bike. They had sales on everything which made their prices awesome. Plus I got money back on store credit as part of a promotion, 3 years free service, and 10% off of any future purchases for 30 days- which I used a few days later when I returned to buy a new rack. Again, the two employees I spoke with this time, were knowledgeable, personable and super helpful in the picking a new rack. Can't say enough good things about Bicycle One. Check this shop out. They're outstanding. read more
