On 10/22/25....(two hours after I posted a one star review on Yelp and Google), Ethan left me a voice message. He stated there are two Specialized Como Turbo e-bikes at his BikeSource shop on Sawmill Road. Ironically, this was the last day I could purchase a new ebike before leaving town. I wasn't born yesterday. His phone message was a CYA attempt to appease BikeSource management that he reached out to a complaining, potential customer. What about the TWELVE DAYS I lost of valuable vacation time waiting for an ebike to be shipped to BikeSource? I can't get those days back to cycle in Ohio. Hopefully, Ethan does better with future ebike customers. I'll never set foot in that store again that's for sure! read more

Went to Bike Source after riding a Trek Verve 3, Cannondale Adventure 1 and of course the Specialized Roll 3.0. Personally I felt the Roll 3.0 was the best fit. IMO I actually bought the bicycle from the manger Will. He was great by the way and helped me dial it in with customizing it. They had the color I wanted in stock but I wanted to add the custom brown wall tires with the reflective stripe so they had to order them. This was not a problem, considering it was the 2st week of February. About a week and a half later Ethan called and said my bike was ready for pick up. When I got there and inspected the bike, I noticed a very small scratch on the bike and handle bar. I was really quiet and didn't know what to say? I felt kinda bummed, ya know? Ethan asked me if everything was alright and I showed him two minor flaws and explained to him I'm kinda OCD and he took a look and immediately was willing to rectify the situation. Very empathetic the entire time, he offered to order another one or discount this one a little if needed be. Most people couldn't care less but I asked him if it wouldn't be too much trouble if I got another one. Needless to say, another week later and I received a phone call saying the bike was ready. The fact that Ethan went above and beyond and understood how I felt without even really saying anything to him spoke volumes to me on how Bike Source employee(s) takes care of their customers. Ethan was super cool the entire experience and I loved showing up and they had the pedals on and all ready for me to ride was awesome. My family has been going to this bike shop for years to have our bikes tuned up. Today we went because there was something wrong with my dad's brake. The employee outside said they weren't taking walk ins and we had to make an appointment. So we sat in the car to call to make an appointment and the person on the phone said they'd come out to take a quick look since we were already there. We didn't expect him to work on the bike, but he quickly noticed that it was a very simple fix and got the brake working in less than 5min. So grateful for such awesome customer service! read more

I have been in a wheelchair for 14 years and whenever I have gotten a flat tire which is detrimental to how I get around Bikesource is where I would go to get my tire fixed. Usually they acknowledge the importance of getting it fixed as I can't even get to a bathroom without my wheelchair. This last time though they quoted me a minimum of 2 hours to get it fixed as there were bikes in line to get fixed. Only a jerk would want their bike fixed before someone who needed their wheelchair tire fixed. It's like a 15 minute job. Maybe I am being over critical as I get buried as well in my job. Anyways I could not wait that long and called Trek and they got me right in. They were super friendly and even offered me a water bottle while I waited. Over the top service which was a completely better vibe than what I got from Bikesource this particular day. Bikesource had been awesome to this point but Trek just got a new customer and I will rave about their service. Bikesource is great with bikes but could use a little coaching in supporting the disabled. read more

A local company serving cyclists in town, BikeSource is a good shop for all enthusiasts of the sport. I like their High Street, Clintonville store too, but this one in Carriage Place Sawmill/Bethal is closer to me. A standard shop with above standard service, BikeSource sells bikes, accessories, and does maintenance and repairs. Since I like to maintain my bike myself ( this is part of the hobby imho) I have never used their mechanics. But from the questions I ask I find them highly knowledgeble and honest. Here I have purchased brake cables, pedals, tire tubes, pads, and other accessories. They have a nice line of bicycles for sale of various price points. Everything from mountain to road, from comfort to electric can be purchased here. Helmets, outerwear, gloves, and socks are here for cyclist safty and fashion; while lights, car racks, mounts, and lock are for the cycle itself. I've been going to BikeSource for many years. They never pressure me or try to upsell me. Last week, when a technician told me my frame had a crack and was no longer safe to ride, I teared up because my 17-year-old bike has a lot of sentimental value. Over the course of a few days, I worked with several people on the team. After explaining what type of rider I am (distance, not speed; trail, but gravel-phobic), they showed me several options, and we finally honed in on the Diverge (which the technician had originally recommended). When I picked up my bike a few days later, they had polished my old frame in case I wanted to keep it. I wanted to tear up again! They heard me and remembered that it had sentimental value. Had a great experience shopping for bikes today. My wife and I haven't had bikes in years and Pete our sales consultant patiently worked with us for a couple hours to fit us with the right bikes for how we intended to ride. We tried multiple bikes as were strongly encouraged to take them for a spin around the nearby park. We ended up purchasing an extra small bike to accommodate a five foot rider and medium size which was on sale. In addition, Pete helped us accessorize the bikes with a variety of things like locks, lights, helmets, bags and racks. In each case we were asked how we intended to use the items and as novices, were often directed to the less expensive items expected to meet our needs. The mechanic crew made several adjustments to the bikes as we were trying them out and Dan the store manager made sure we were satisfied with our purchases and offered suggestions. Finally we left the bikes for an hour for accessory installs and final adjustments after purchasing them and returned to meet with Jeff who assist us with the last few customized tweaks. Everyone showed great patience and offered useful observations and suggestions. read more

Fully stocked, with inventory as well as commissioned sales people. I'm a commission sales person myself, so I have empathy, but I also have the knowledge of the up-sale. If you can try to get information about what you want first, or use the first trip to get your information. Then go back to make the purchase when you are more confident. I think this is good advice for a beginner. However, for an advance cyclist/biker, once you join the Specialized family, it seems your in the mob for life. Specialized has great bikes. I certainly do not want to imply that they aren't, but I would encourage shopping around to other bikes stores in town. Depending on your level, interest, body size, and need, you may find a better fit in a Trek, LeMond, Giant, or Bianchi. ...etc. There's a lot out there! read more

The manager and staff at the BikeSource in Dublin were extraordinarily patient with me as I hemmed and hawed over which mountain bike (and which size) best suited me. I'm right in between sizes at 5'10", and they went above and beyond to accommodate my fickleness, suiting-up several bikes in several sizes for test rides/demos. Without going into the gritty details, they bent over backward to make sure I had the right bike, which turned out to be a medium 2019 Stumpjumper Alloy Comp 27.5. We also bought a new bike for my daughter, and my sister will soon be picking up her own Stumpy from BikeSource, too. I frequently ride out of state, as well, and I always make it a point to visit local shops. There are a lot of so-so shops, some good/great shops, and a few AMAZING shops. Columbus is very lucky to have one of the amazing shops in our own backyard. read more

Got a new bike on my birthday but chain did not work as smooth as it should be. Took bike to BikeSource's service center. They checked the bike immediately and showed me what was wrong and how much would cost if I decided to fix it. I decided to get my bike fixed. The price was reasonable and service was great. No wonder why I never get greeted while roaming this shop...they're on commission I hear. I've bought a few accessories here because they had a sale and before that, I came in at least 5 times to browse before buying anything. There are moments when a customer just wants to be left alone to browse, but at least make the effort to say hello to me and tell me that if I did have any questions, I could ask them. Nope, nada. I was actually going to buy a computer too, but the guy standing 3 feet from me across the counter didn't even look at me. I guess Roll: would rather take my money. note: I did buy my road shoes here and sized it myself while waiting for someone to come over but no-one did, so I had to go look for it myself in the storage area around the corner. I hesitate a little to give it just 3 stars - but this was my personal experience and it may be more suited for others. I hadn't owned a bike since early high school and was wanting to get back into biking. The guy who helped me was very nice, but I felt like he was trying to convince me to get stuff I didn't need. For someone more experienced or hard core than myself, sure, maybe the more expensive bike with these fabulous features would be worth it, but I doubt it would've made too much of a difference to me. He was cool tho about letting us test ride our bikes for a long time - I don't even know how long we were gone but it was such a gorgeous day out and they rode so amazingly we didn't want to return them =). Anyway, the bikes there were way too expensive and I feel like there were bikes of comparable quality at Performance Bike up the street for cheaper. But if you know exactly what you need, and want to put down the dough on a Specialized bike, by all means go ahead and check them out. read more

Bike Source Staff was wonderful. We dropped off my daughters 1985 mini Schwinn and ate at Chile Verde (next door). (BTW-Their Food is always amazing!) When we returned, the bike was tuned up & cleaned up and ready to go with the new shiny training wheels we requested. My (then 3 1/2 year old) Granddaughter was thrilled! She also found a cute little BELL which was installed and away we went. The rolling began that evening and the 16 month old can't wait to get in on the action. I have a road bike. I went to Bike Source, the 4840 Sawmill location, to have the chain and brakes looked at. The staff were very friendly. The woman who readjusted my chain even cleaned it for me! After I left, I tried to put my bike back in the car but the seat was too high. It just so happened that the manager of the store was outside at the time and was nice enough to bring the bike back in for me to get the seat adjusted. He then brought my bike back out and put it in my trunk for me too! I am relatively new at riding, so we chatted for a bit and he gave me a few tips. This is a great bike shop. I took my bike in because it was making a clicking noise when I pedal hard. One pedal was a bit loose, and they removed, lubricated, and reinstalled it. No charge. When it didn't fix the problem, they changed out a different set of pedals from another bike I have. The clicking came back, and I took the bike in again. They determined that the bottom bracket was dirty, but that it did not need new bearings. They also lubricated the saddle mount at no charge. I greatly appreciate their integrity. Easily could have sold me a new bottom bracket, but they did not. This is where I will be taking all my bikes for any maintenance or repair. Joe S. read more

Poor Selection, I suppose the average Enthusiast would have no clue but the top selection bikes (Tarmac Pro) are overpriced and outdated. What do I mean? Today is June 8th 2014, with July being the release date of the 2015 Tarmac. I was just in the shop and they were trying to sell me a 2012 Tarmac Pro for 3,800 dollars. Problem is I was able to purchase a rare Neon Blue 2013 Tarmac Pro for 3,300 dollar over in Newark from the Bike Doctor. Better Color, Better Price, Better Bike, Better Store. I came here a couple times looking to purchase a bike for my wife. We were warmly greeted by Raquel and started down the path of being educated about bikes. Unfortunately, it was her 3rd day, so i don't think she had the sales/education "story" down. However, Joe helped us out and was very informative and funny in educating us novice bikers. According to the other posters, they are commission based, but it didn't seem to me that they were hassling or pressing us to purchase. On the second trip, we were helped by a different individual but she was also pretty knowledgeable and helpful. Honestly, I would have purchased a bike here had we not visited the Trek store and has such a great experience there. From a bike perspective, i think Trek, Specialized and Giant are considered the 'big 3' in cycling from all the people I spoke with, so really you can't go wrong. Ultimately, it was the better customer service, education, and presentation that won us over to Trek and not Specialized (Bike Source). read more

Great place to find bikes. On this trip we just needed my daughter's cheap bike tire fixed. They replaced the tube in under 5 minutes and it only cost $13. Sure I coukd have replaced it myself for $6 but it woukd have taken me longer. And since I was coming here anyway....great service! read more

We were greeted immediately and asked what we were looking for. The associate showed me some options and let us look around. She was always available whenever I had questions. I picked a bike and she made sure I got the right size, so they pulled one out of the back. Turns out it was a newer model than the one displayed, and it looks awesome. Then she explained that the kickstand and bottle holders were a little more if I wanted them installed. Everything was expertly done, and the bike rides great. Very self explanatory for somebody who hasn't had a bike in many years. Also, when trying to get the bike into our van, another associate noticed us struggling and came to help and showed us how to properly remove the front wheel. Overall, I recommend Bike Source, and their products are top notch. Also, she made sure I knew that adjustments on the bike were free for life. read more

I went in the other day to get new tires on my bike, and the service was efficient and well-done. However as I was walking out, there were three or four salesmen standing by the front counter just chatting (there were no other customers in the store) and no one even offered to help me take the bike out to the car or even open the door for me. In short, they did their job - but not an iota more. This may not bother some people, but I was not impressed with that aspect of their service. read more
