Was shopping out in Hilliard today and say this Dick's Sporting Goods store located in the Tanglewood Plaza on Hilliard-Rome Road. I am searching for a new pair of On waterproof shoes. This store didn't have what I was looking for but had a nice selection of shoes and just about anything sports related you would need. Easton is the largest store and has a better selection but this location didn't disappoint. The staff I interacted with were great as well. read more

I just went in to get new shoes for my job since I'm on my feet non stop and this dood appeared out of no where but I was so thankful. He was genuine and very kind and took me to the shoes I was looking at and looking at. Now these shoes were amazing. They fit nicely and felt wonderful on the bottom of my feet. When I went to check out, the lady up front was very sweet and kind as well. My when I tell you this place didn't have amazing people already, the next one come out and talking about this Einstein bagel that had something to do with a hash brown, she was very kind too. I'd definitely come back and recommend everyone today that helped me out. Thank you once again! read more

This store is laid out very well. Very high ceilings where you dont feel so confined. Employees were very pleasant and costs still the same high prices but if on clearance you get the deal. Store was clean and parking out front. This is the go-to store for sports here locally. read more

So I would like to state this review is specific to this location and not the chain as a whole. So some positive feedback first and why it got even any stars. It was easy to navigate the lanes they have and items were where they were supposed to be.. that's all I have for positive, everything is is dreadful. First off.. employees seem miserable. No smiles, no greetings, no offering to help even though we were in the same section for 45 minutes with puzzled looks on our face. Maybe they figure this is a sports store and we should be running back and forth to get help? Second.. items were mislabeled with current pricing. We bought a tennis racquet and some tennis balls.. the label on the racquet said 55 dollars.. the printed paper above it.. with its name printed as well said 50 dollars.. ok.. great.. it's on sale.. brought it to the register and it came up as 60 dollars. Third.. the person working the register as for the manager to help regarding the price issue. The manager told her to make it 55 as on the label. I mentioned to him it said 50 dollars on the printed paper by the racquet.. he decides to lecture me on how customers sometimes put items back in the wrong location. To which I said the paper clearly listed the name and price of the racquet and I'd be happy to show him.. instead he goes back into a lecture about how people don't put things back correct and change labels. I interject again and stated I read the paper in the back and would be happy to show him. Every time he spoke he said it disgruntled and like I was the idiot. I can simple say the store name matches his personality. At the end the price was matched to the paper in the back but the experience made the price a lot higher. read more

Been in this location twice since Christmas. I think they forgot that you are allowed to restock after the holidays. Under Armor selection is mediocre if you are a size medium or small. If you are any larger....forget about it and go elsewhere. read more

I hadn't even realized this was here, and when I searched Yelp for sporting goods stores it popped up near where I was already running errands. Like other locations, it has a blend of outdoors and exercise supplies. Hunting, camping, running, etc.- you'll find stuff you need here. I was looking for a Swiss Army knife. They had a small selection. I've been to Dick's before for camping stuff, tailgating supplies, etc., and they often have things I can't find elsewhere. Service is spotty, and prices are high. Ran over to the Rome-Hilliard Dick's Sporting Goods location because I was at another store and they didn't have my size. The Sawmill store had called ahead and found out they had the size of shoes I wanted in the style I wanted. Wanting them for the weekend instead of ordering them online and waiting a week for delivery, I made the twenty minute drive. Walking in I was greeted at the door and directed to the shoe department. I really thought this was going to be a quick trip, but I was wrong as their was only one employee working in the department and three families waiting for assistance. I asked if he could get my shoes while he was helping others and I was told he had two other people and would get to me or someone was due to come back from break soon. Perhaps I was being too forward in asking to grab a pair of shoes that had been put back after spending 30 minutes in another store and driving 20 minutes to get there. Since there was nothing else I needed from Dicks, I sat and waited 20 minutes and surfed the web on my phone. The other employee never came back while I waited. When it was my turn I got the shoes I was waiting for but never the apology for the wait I had hoped for. Checking out wasn't hard as they had a half dozen registers and only one open. As there were five people in line, I was worried it would take awhile; luckily, the only cashier was working fast and I was able to get out in under ten minutes. All told it took me about two hours to go to two loctions in search of shoes the website told me were in stock at my first stop. It was not a great experience, but I got what I wanted. read more

I'm not really sure how to rate this place. I've been to several sporting goods stores including Dick's, but this is only my second time to this location. It's pretty small compared to other places I've been. I was asked if I needed help by one employee and I think he was trying to make sure I wasn't staying long bc they were closing in 30 minutes. One employee did tell us that there are two other locations that were bigger. Anyway, the selection wasn't great, the prices were kind of high, and the clearance prices didn't seem to be a good deal either. I'm sure this place is great for some people, but it's definitely my least favorite sporting goods store. read more

Bicycle repairman Jeff Barker went above and beyond in getting my Hybrid Nishiki fixed. His communication was great, the repair was expertly made, and he even repaired parts that weren't officially part of the repair worksheet, such as tightening the grips, replacing a chain guard and checking the tires. And everything was covered under the 2-year extended warranty I purchased. read more

I came in search of a fleece jacket and the selection for women was pretty slim. That could be due to the season. So I'll let it slide. I usually go to the Easton one and am immediately greeted as well with the Grove City store. That didn't happen here, nor did anyone ask if I needed help. I guess I'll keep going to the Easton store as it is way bigger and friendlier. read more

Staff not very friendly. Management not much better. Was looking to buy a new softball bat and some free weights. When we asked about price matching the free weights so we didn't have to make multiple stops they told me they don't price match with a discount store like Walmart they are higher end store then that ? This review only pertains to the bike section. I ride a Specialized Hardrock mountain bike, and I like to get it tuned up at the beginning of every spring. Being new to the area, I took it to Dick's, as their recent publicity regarding their gun stance made me want to bring them some business. Anyway, I could not have asked for better service. In particular, Jeff, who works the Bike and Golf sections, was so friendly, personable, and helpful. I genuinely felt like my bike was in good hands! He went above and beyond to make sure my bike was in the best shape to ride and enjoy this upcoming Ohio summer! I would definitely recommend going to this store for any bike needs. read more

I went in with Christmas returns - 1 I had a receipt, the other I did not. The worker helped find the receipt through my parents rewards card so I got the most for their money. The selection isn't great, but I was able to find some workout clothes on sale for half the original price. read more
