Tuxes are supposed to be…read morereceived 2 weeks in advance of wedding. 10 days prior, groom & several groomsmen have no tux. Calls & emails to customer service are unanswered. Have to go to Nordstrom in person to find out what's going on. Salesperson tells me that Black Tux is having so many complaints & issues nationwide that they shut down their customer service phone lines & email weeks ago. Had no intention of telling us that we were not going to get our tuxes because they don't have our items (that we ordered months in advance) in stock! I ask the BT salesperson to help & he says he's got appt's scheduled every 30" all day, so he's too busy. Why are they taking more orders if they know they can't fill them? I have to get the Nordstrom dept. mgr. to intervene. Only then does BT sales guy get some answers for me. First, they didn't realize the best man's order was part of a wedding party, they thought he was just an individual needing a tux, so they didn't fill his order at all. Why? Because BT is having such serious problems and know they can't fill their orders, that they're prioritizing wedding parties and dropping people's individual orders. I asked, "So, even though it's last minute, not only were you not going to fill his order, but you weren't ever going to tell him?". BT salesperson & Nordstrom dept. mgr. both nodded yes. Second, they don't have some of the wedding party's pants and shirts, so they have to substitute all of the shirts for entire wedding party so they'll all match (shirt #2) which are supposed to be overnighted. They never arrive. Since no one answers the phones, back to Nordstrom. They tell me they can't get shirt #2 after all, so we have to substitute shirt #3. (And no one contacted us to tell us). It's now 5 days before the wedding and shirt #3 also doesn't arrive. Back to Nordstrom. Hours posted on website are 11-7. There's another customer waiting with an appt. to be fitted. No one's there at BT desk. Salesperson checks & tells us no one from BT will be there all day. I ask for dept. mgr. again & salesperson delivers a msg. to me & the other customer (she wouldn't come out in person) from her that she's in a meeting & there's nothing Nordstrom can do. Later, find out they have to substitute shirt #4 which is entirely not the style we wanted, but we have no choice. (Again, no one contacted us to tell us we were never going to get shirt #3). We got most of the shirt #4's sent to us at the last minute, but not all. We substituted shirts, pants, used personal bow ties, etc. to make it work as best we could on the wedding day. VERY stressful & an extraordinary number of wasted hours on our part trying to make it right. After the wedding, had to return 2 large trash bags full of the individually boxed overnighted #4 shirts back to Nordstrom within 48 hours as they instructed us to do. Hours for Black Tux at Nordstrom posted on website are 1-7:00. No one there. Am told they might be in later, but no one's sure. Return back later in the day, am told still no one from BT is there and no one can tell me what day or time they will ever be there. I again ask for dept. mgr. so she can verify I'm returning all the shirts. Am told (again) that she's in a meeting & can't come out. I say I'm going to sit there & wait for meeting to end, rather than schlep those shirts back again. She comes out 5" later, checks in the shirts. After the wedding, we dropped 3 tuxes off in the BT boxes with their pre-printed return labels, all at the same UPS location at the exact same time, but BT is saying they have no record of one of them being returned. The nightmare continues!!! I plan on filing a complaint with the OH AG's office for consumer affairs in the hope that maybe other people's weddings won't be ruined like my son's was. BT is continuing to take people's money as deposits for goods & services that they admitted to us they know can't be filled, and Nordstrom is complicit because they know it's happening but just look the other way. If you have had a similar experience, message me & I will add you to my AG complaint.

I purchased my dress in September 2025 (Cait helped me during my first appt and she was great) and was told it would be ready for alterations/pickup in October. October came and went with no communication, so I reached out in November, only to be told they weren't sure why I'd been given that timeline, as the dress wouldn't be ready until January 2026. At the time, this felt manageable since my wedding is mid-May 2026. However, the issues continued. In January, my alterations appointments were canceled same day three separate times with very limited and far out options to reschedule. When I finally had my first fitting, the service was poor and the alterations were done incorrectly, requiring me to return for another appointment. Initially, I was told alterations would take less than a week - but by this point, it was already mid-April, just one month before my wedding. On the phone call before my second appointment (to fix their mistake), I was told my dress wouldn't be ready for another month- meaning the week of my wedding. I even asked about a refund so I could take my dress to be altered elsewhere, but was told that wasn't an option. Then, after finally being able to come in for the appointment in April after multiple calls and speaking to a manager, I unexpectedly was told the dress was actually ready to take home despite multiple prior conversations with different staff members insisting it wouldn't be ready until May. Overall, the experience was disorganized, inconsistent, and disappointing. Communication was poor, timelines constantly changed, and it often felt like no one knew what was going on. I regret choosing to work with them and would strongly recommend that other brides look elsewhere.

She said one week. That sounded fair so I told her I'd see her on Wednesday. On Wednesday I arrived with the pants and the shoes I'd be wearing with them. She was assisting a couple who had a total of 3 shirts they were dropping off. She asked how she could help me and I told her I had 2 pair of pants to be hemmed. She said "Could be 2 or 3 weeks, I've been busy." while pointing a the THREE shirts on counter. I told her that I spoke with her not 24 hours before and she said 1 week. She shrugged her shoulders and went back to ringing up the couple. I told her that she could have told me that over the phone as she wasted my time and gas. She simply shrugged again and ignored me. Horrible customer service. I would avoid at all costs.

The check out line was forever long just crazy long across the store. Get used to it people, it's the holiday season. Thank God I got the most chill super cool laid back associate when I asked how he was doing he said he was "chillin." Made my day to see someone so super chill among all this chaos take it in stride. I could use him as a life coach. I was burning up it was so hot in the store with all those people and the long wait. He was awesome. Process in process out. Super professional with a calm demeanor. Prices were decent. Selection was good. Thank heavens this isn't the TJMaxx experience.

Not a lot of designer items at this location. Pretty much the same merch as it had two months ago. The fitting room clerk was excellent. He has a great way of keeping track of how many items go in by asking if it would "be easier to hand them to him" (from the cart) and takes you and the items to a fitting room. I actually liked that. The cashiers were not the best. The stood there having a personal conversation for two minutes (yes I timed them.). Once their story to each other was finished they were engaging w/customers and good, but I unappreciated (greatly) being ignored and not rung up in a timely manner. Nordstroms policies are slipping. So is their merchandise selections. I just didn't feel there was any value or savings to most of the items that were there today. This is why I probably don't shop there often as I'm usually disappointed.
