    Chicken Sandwich

The menu here was better than a lot of other options in the concourse. The cheese on the chicken sandwich and the flavor was really good. Pricey but everywhere is pricey. They have a seating area/bar next to the food area. We took seats in the back at a table for 2 and then were told by the bartender we weren't allowed to sit there unless we had an open tab - even tho we had just bought food. The sign in front said "extra seating behind." Didn't make a big deal but it was frustrating. If you go when they're busy there will be no place to sit.

As far as airport food goes, Beecher's is very good, maybe even one of my favorite airport foods. The grilled cheeses are pre-assembled but grilled to order, and the bread still retains just a bit of crunchiness after you unwrap it on the plane. They still taste best when hot off the grill though. The mac n' cheese is good too: creamy and smooth. They call it the "World's Best Mac n' Cheese," but I have had some extremely delicious ones, so probably would not consider theirs the world's best. At an airport though, it is pretty dang good. Beecher's is located near gate A27. The good thing about this location is that you can even stop here without a flight in Terminal A, by catching the connecting shuttle near A28 to Terminal B or C.

Great spot in Newark to grab some good food and drink. Go for the 8oz. portions for a little something - something or grab a larger option. You can't go wrong. Quite delightful overall.

Flight delayed or simply just need a drink before flying? I wouldn't have thought I would ever get a good drink at an airport bar but I was wrong. I had a few hours to kill and ended up with the most perfect cosmo! The staff was nice and attentive. It was a great spot to watch people go by in the airport and just have a last few moments before flying.

The food has been always good to my experience, but this time they forgot my order, they said if someone asked what's my name, good thing I have the receipt to as proof, so guys always ask for your receipt, then take note before giving a tip, they have additional charge for employee retention something, if I have known I wouldn't have given an exact amount of tip. As far as ambiance, it's nice and not too busy at breakfast time.

Oh this is a highlight of Terminal A. Compared to what I'd normally expect at airports, this is a quality grilled cheese sandwich. The best? Nah. Does the cheese ooze a bit? Maybe. But you're getting your money's worth. They don't skimp on the sandwich size. I realized that the original grilled cheese and the flagship came out to the same price. I opted for the flagship. The basil and tomato adds a bit of a nice touch. I believe you can either grab this to go or grab this at the bar adjacent to the place itself. I believe it's all connected. I ordered via the storefront. It took about 5 mins or so. I then went to the bar and ordered my drink. I think it's a bit faster, but I wouldn't know. To put it in perspective, I had like 45 mins to kill and I had more than plenty time after eating and having my drink to wash up and get to my gate. The bar itself is pretty good too. The price of beers isn't unreasonable ($10 or so for drafts) For $15.25, I don't think the price is absurd. I've paid like $14 for to-go lunch in central Jersey. You can't really go wrong here.

What is left of the most delicious Mac&Cheese ever!

Excellent!!! The same delicious Mac&Cheese you could find in Seattle! This was an awesome find! Traveling through Newark saw it and could not resist!!! The place has a great cocktail menu and limited but good wine selection. We had also an onion and tomato soup! Both were great! The service was fast and friendly! We were not rushed but taken care of quickly! Perfect for traveling! Terminal A is beautiful and new! The restaurant/bar is also well decorated, great light, windows and large TV screens to watch your favorite sport! I would travel to Newark next time just to come back to this place!

For Airport food, this was very above average. Had the spicy Bloody Mary and the Smoked Turkey Sandwich, and both were great.

We finally made it this past weekend to Vinnie's Mootz for one of their special tasting menu…read morenights, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. If you're expecting a typical dinner, think again. The tasting menu featured around 12 courses, and by course ten I was completely full--but somehow still excited for what was coming next. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, packed with flavor and very tasty. For me the standout of the night was the very first dish which was Vinnie's homemade mozzarella with tomatoes, which was so good that we even bought some fresh mozzarella to take home. The meatballs were also outstanding, and the steak and eggplant course was another highlight. After all that food, finishing with a cannoli just felt like the perfect ending. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, but the food is every bit as good as what you'd find at restaurants that cost a lot more. Live guitar music throughout the evening added to the experience created a nice vibe. My only suggestion would be maybe to turn it down a notch or two as it was a little hard to hear others at our table. Still a very nice touch though and all songs you would know. I always like it when a chef comes out of the kitchen, especially at a tasting menu, and Vinnie came out several times to chat with guests which was very nice. It just added a personal touch and showed how much pride goes into both the food and the overall experience and we got to hear his back story. This tasting menu is an incredible value and a great way to try dishes you might not normally order. Just remember to come hungry--and maybe skip lunch beforehand. If you can get a reservation for one of these tasting nights, don't hesitate.

A sandwich-and-slice shop with a personality all its own. I had passed this lunch spot countless…read moretimes -- usually chuckling at the somewhat ridiculous name -- always telling myself I'd eventually stop in one day. After my first visit, I can say the tongue-in-cheek spirit of Vinnie Mootz's signage carries right through the front door and into its lineup of "SANGWEECHES." I ordered "The Nicky Mootz" -- cutlet, bacon, hot sauce, and fresh mootz -- and enjoyed it immensely in the friendly, medium-sized dining room. The pizza, which I plan to try on a future visit, looked excellent, and the small assortment of hand-stretched mozzarellas is reason enough to stop back in the next time I'm passing through. It's a Jersey sandwich -- excuse me, sangweech -- shop with all the charm, humor, and flavor you'd hope for the community!
