I didn't realize he had a new job at Bedard Bros. in Cheshire. He insisted that Bedard would be the place that would best serve me in this search. Two hours later I got a call from Mark Civello a salesman from Bedard. He told me he had located what I was looking for. Within an hour I was test driving the exact Wrangler I was looking for. With the expertise of Mark, the encouragement of Tim and a first class finance staff I was able to complete all the paperwork, got the car insured, license plates on and I drove my 2025 Wrangler Sport home by 6pm. Extremely disappointed in the treatment we received for a minor repair when our truck was towed to…read morethem. The steering cable became dislodged. We were told the cable was broken and repair would cost 640 dollars. When we questioned the amount of their estimate they said there was nothing further to talk about. In frustration we had the car towed to a local repair shop where we viewed an unbroken cable. All that was needed was a 1/4 inch small ball that need to be attached to a bracket. The price to get it fixed was 204.00. This is the first negative review I have ever written but truly feel mistreated and hope this will help other people who needs car repairs.

I called McAndrews-King Buick GMC because they are 15 minutes up the road from me in Adams, MA instead of Colandrea because they are over 2 hours away to get my first service done and apparently, they don't honor that service system because "we don't make any money off of it". I ended up calling GMC directly and spoke with a customer assistance associate and both he and the team never heard of a GMC dealer not honoring the GMC certified pre-owned vehicle 2 free service visits well within the range of service visits. Nothing is expired or even close to expiring. Very odd. GMC directly ended up giving me a $100 voucher for any future service that is required after my 2 free service visits for this lunacy and are filing a report about it. I called Bedard's located in Cheshire, MA who isn't even a GMC dealer although they are a chevy dealer and they were more than happy to accept my 2 free service visits. I personally do not recommend McAndrews-King Buick GMC as they are not part of the "GMC family" in my opinion and appear to only be in it for the money. That sort of sets the tone if you're purchasing a vehicle from them.

I'm glad I provided them with such great amusement, but it was humiliating to me. It's possible that they didn't realize how loud they were being and didn't know I could hear them. However, good customer service means that you treat people with respect and understanding. They had no idea what reasons I had for bringing my car to them in that state. I didn't get any offers for help (e.g., "We could fix that for you if you want"), just a lot of head-shaking and the reminder that I have 60 days to get it reinspected without a fee. NO THANKS. Not only will I not be bringing my car back for reinspection, but I will never bring any of my cars here again. Their service went far beyond rude and unprofessional. They were downright mean.

Even though it wasn't technically under warranty, they were able to get Toyota to Goodwill the work, and get everything covered. Gary especially in the service department did a great job with getting the ball rolling on this. All this despite the fact that I purchased my vehicle at a competitor. Because the Service Department at this dealership was completely honest and straightforward with me, I will be continuing to go here to get all my extended warranty service done on this vehicle for the remainder of the time I own this. It's a vehicle that's not all that commonly available in this part of the country, and our price limit was right at the limit of what would be reasonable. He listened to us very carefully, asked lots of important questions, then set out on what can only be properly described as a "quest" -- and FOUND exactly what we were looking for! He was able to negotiate a great deal on it for us, then brought it back to the shop. This is where it gets even more wonderful, because the shop is known for being owned and operated by a mechanic with a sterling personal reputation and professional credentials, having trained in a shop up in Guilford, VT that is literally known as the very best one in the whole area. They assured us they'd go through and fix anything and everything on the vehicle that needed tweeking or repair before we picked it up, to make sure it was up to THEIR standards of excellence -- and that the price would not go above our limit even if they had to eat some of the cost. They explained this is because they shopped for the vehicle with their mechanical expertise, so if it cost more to fix it was that they'd assessed it wrong and should make good on it. Well, long story short, we took delivery of exactly the used vehicle we wanted, in perfect shape, looking like it came off a showroom floor, and it's everything we could have dreamed and hoped for. In the process, we found a mechanic we'll use and trust from now on, and made friends to boot! It's not easy to find a really superior mechanic and shop that has a personal value system based on ethics of doing what's right. Green River Auto is that place! And if you want a used car, I honestly do not see how you can do ANY better than you will if you go talk to Doug there. If he can't find it for you, it's not available. I've lived all over the country, from Texas to California and back again, and I have NEVER found a shop like this one, and never even imagined a person like Doug existed. Like any good mechanic they are in demand so it can sometimes be hard to get through and one needs to be proactive about communicating their needs.
