In frustration we had the car towed to a local repair shop where we viewed an unbroken cable. All that was needed was a 1/4 inch small ball that need to be attached to a bracket. The price to get it fixed was 204.00. This is the first negative review I have ever written but truly feel mistreated and hope this will help other people who needs car repairs.

As you could imagine, I have a rather dim view of how most dealerships operate. While searching for vehicles on the Internet recently I stumbled on a 2013 Tahoe in the Bedard Chevy used inventory. During a visit I reviewed the vehicle and it fit my needs rather well. I was looking for particular options for a long time and this vehicle had them. The Tahoe was also the cleanest and less abused of all that I had considered. The sales person, Heather was extremely helpful and low pressure. The next day we made a deal that I was happy with. Upon delivery of the vehicle I discovered a malfunction with the Tahoe's heated driver's seat. Heather was exceptionally responsive in getting the problem fixed, as was the service department. I can't say enough about the apparent honesty and integrity of the Bedard folks I worked with, right down to the courtesy of the drivers who delivered my vehicle to my house!!! It takes a lot for a company to earn my trust. Bedard has done so. No baloney, No BS, No excuses. Bedard is a low pressure, low hype dealership. It was worth the drive and I live over 1 hour away. I ended up calling GMC directly and spoke with a customer assistance associate and both he and the team never heard of a GMC dealer not honoring the GMC certified pre-owned vehicle 2 free service visits well within the range of service visits. Nothing is expired or even close to expiring. Very odd. GMC directly ended up giving me a $100 voucher for any future service that is required after my 2 free service visits for this lunacy and are filing a report about it. I called Bedard's located in Cheshire, MA who isn't even a GMC dealer although they are a chevy dealer and they were more than happy to accept my 2 free service visits. I personally do not recommend McAndrews-King Buick GMC as they are not part of the "GMC family" in my opinion and appear to only be in it for the money. I didn't get any offers for help (e.g., "We could fix that for you if you want"), just a lot of head-shaking and the reminder that I have 60 days to get it reinspected without a fee. NO THANKS. Not only will I not be bringing my car back for reinspection, but I will never bring any of my cars here again. Their service went far beyond rude and unprofessional. They were downright mean.

This is where it gets even more wonderful, because the shop is known for being owned and operated by a mechanic with a sterling personal reputation and professional credentials, having trained in a shop up in Guilford, VT that is literally known as the very best one in the whole area. They assured us they'd go through and fix anything and everything on the vehicle that needed tweeking or repair before we picked it up, to make sure it was up to THEIR standards of excellence -- and that the price would not go above our limit even if they had to eat some of the cost. They explained this is because they shopped for the vehicle with their mechanical expertise, so if it cost more to fix it was that they'd assessed it wrong and should make good on it. Well, long story short, we took delivery of exactly the used vehicle we wanted, in perfect shape, looking like it came off a showroom floor, and it's everything we could have dreamed and hoped for. In the process, we found a mechanic we'll use and trust from now on, and made friends to boot!
