The name brands that we came to expect at BBB are gone, the store shelves aren't stocked like they used to be, and the redesign leaves wanting to get out asap! I heard that the Target CEO became their CEO and brought in a lot of Target brands. Sure enough I found same brand rug at Target for even less than the coupon. Had another great experience here at my neighborhood Bed Bath & Beyond location. Stopped in to get a few final items off of our wedding registry to complete dining sets, etc. Associate Dalia was so extremely helpful in doing some returns for me and going the extra mile to investigate an item that had been purchased off our registry without a card. She was patient with my questions and did everything she could to help me. I also witnessed her training a new employee Karina who is a sweetheart. I am glad she's on board at my local store now too! I happen to be in the area and remembered I had a couple of gift cards and I was actually in need of a mini heater. I went in, mind you I have never been in this Bed Bath & Beyond so I don't know where things are. Walked around a bit looking for the heaters. Couldn't find them so I asked an associate. All she told me was they were by the vacuums as if I knew where the vacuums were to begin with. They only have two to choose from. When I went to check out, the card reader was unable to read my gift card. I must have swiped it at least a dozen times. And the cashier told me that it wasn't working. Having worked retail myself I knew that it was something you could manually input so I suggested that to her. Lo and behold it work! Not likely to visit this location again read more

It's often rare to see me post anything for stores. I tend to review for restaurants--food, service, parking--you know, the essentials, but I was pretty impressed by this location. The associates are actually willing to help you. I just remember a store manager walking by asking if I needed any help. Walked in hoping I could just purchase my bedding essentials and go but I realized it's a lot harder than expected. I have to admit this location doesn't have as many options as I would have likes them to have but I also see why they are limited to how much they can sell. Literally this place is filled from the floor to the top. One thing I did notice is that it got really busy at the check out fast, but I was more impressed as how the transactions went. What can I say, they have excellent customer service, and it's always well air conditioned in the stores, gotta love that. Most locations are the same as far as overall experience. I love their return policy, and coupons they send in the mail. You never run out of coupons because they come so often and they accept expired coupons! My only gripe and deduction of a star is sometimes when you call to check stock on an item, you're on hold for awhile. By far the best location I've been. Upland Colonies is worth driving 10 15 miles if you are not in the area. Most all of the ladies that work there know about the products and online ordering and although they are busy doing things around the store, there is someone in or within close proximity of each area of the store. The men employees have always been idiots and clearly there just for a pay check. The store is clean well laid out, great parking and safe secure location in a stand alone building rather than wedged in a strip center. It's around many other stores I shop at too. read more

I have been shopping here for years but just recently learned that they offer personal shoppers for free. I'm the woman always on the tight budget and doing everything possible to save money, even when I have to spend it. So I have never used a personal shopper before. However recently moving into a new home and decorating not being my strong suit, I decided I better take whatver help I can get. The women at the Upland Bed bath location were amazing! They made me feel like I was queen for a day. They treated me so well! Honestly I have never had so many employees be so genuinely kind to me like that in one place and go above and beyond. Yea I was like so this is what the beyond means in their name. I had never experienced that part before. They honestly made me feel like I was some kind of celebrity. They offered me water, they even let me sit down when I needed to. It is difficult for me to shop due to health issues, especially when there are no automatic shopping carts available. The staff were so patient with me. I know there is online shopping available but I like to pick out my own things, see it in person. They helped me pick out colors, themes, patterns etc. They laid things out in front of me so I could see what it would look like at home. They asked me important questions I hadn't thought of that all made the choices good ones that suited me individually. Karen was my personal shopper and I highly recommend her!!! Her attitude was so lovely, she is so welcoming and really enjoys her job. She even said so. Infact I got that feeling from all the employees there. Karen will go to every end to see you are happy with the choices and she is very perceptive...theres no fake smiles with her. She can tell if a customer isn't totally satisfied. Bed Bath and Beyond has lowered its standards. Roxanne the manager does not know how to keep customers returning to the store. I had a gift return never been opened and with receipt and they could not even do store credit which is all I wanted. Due to COVID which actually STARTED in 2019 not March I have not wanted to come into a store to do any returns or exchanges. I do not appreciate being denied when stores like Target, Costco and Petsmart actually care about their customers. Went in a couple weeks ago to purchase a vacuum cleaner. Couldn't find anyone to help although it was in the morning and the store was not crowded. I found some triple a batteries purchased them...the cashier asked why I came and I told her to purchase a vacuum. She tried to help but was interrupted by a fellow employee. She took a phone call as she was on the call I paid for batteries and left...she was so busy I didn't get a receipt. I love this Bed, Bath & Beyond. I much prefer it over the Ontario Mills store. It is clean and organized and the people are very helpful. Returns are a breeze. I've even returned sheets I had used for months, maybe even over a year, which got a hole warn in them. I had no packaging or receipt and they took them back without a problem. Their prices are not always the best, but if you have your 20% coupon it can help on big ticket items. I have also learned that they'll take expired coupons and multiple coupons. I used to think I could only use one coupon per visit. Upon my last visit, which involved a large purchase, I told them I had been trying to wait for my next 20% coupon to come in the mail, but gave up. Wait in line to give them your items to return, they tell you to go shop for what else you need and come back to the front and they'll do the return and new purchase at the same time, only to be told you have to get back in line AGAIN to do your transaction!! We spent about two hours here before making a rather large purchase over the Memorial Day weekend. My partner and I were trying to decide between two sets of cookware. I know they have 2 working there, she's the one with red hair I believe. She was amazing! She helped us so much and never rushed us. I am currently dealing with a shoulder injury and she made sure I was comfortable during the process and would ask if I was feeling ok or if I needed to take a break.
