First of all, this store is likely to be closed permanently. I used to love this store back when it had physical locations nationwide. I hadn't purchased from them in years and was unaware that they had changed their business model. I recently received a poor-quality Christmas tablecloth set from Villeroy & Boch (or possibly a counterfeit). Three separate items were included in a single order and arrived together in one package. However, the store required that each item be RETURNED INDIVIDUALLY, with return shipping paid separately for all three. Bottom line: I paid $45 to return an $89 purchase. The items were sent back two weeks ago, and I have yet to receive a refund. Please be aware. this store is not what it used to be. read more

Have you ever ordered a big ticket item online? Well, I nervously did! It was a $400 Dyson heater, fan, and it purifies the air. I had a horrible experience with another business and I was nervous. I really wanted this fan and it was on sale, at $100 off. So, I put on my big girl pants and went forward with the purchase. My fan arrived three days after I ordered it. My fan arrived right to my front door and in perfect condition. It works so well, I may never leave my family room again. It is so toasty and warm. I'm always buying things in the beyond category Shame on them for selling an air fryer that requires you to give up your rights for a class-action suit, this really creeps me out so I'm returning it for another model. This was the made for TV power air fryer with a microwave option and de hydrator I'm concerned that the dehydrator will be using more heat than wind, dehydrators should use wind without overcooking the food. I was tempted to buy a pico brew which is a small homebrew machine, but I'm wondering if they'll stop selling the refills after Christmas. Decent BBB location with ample parking and sufficient employees working to assist customers. Went on a rainy day to look at some bedding and home decor and notice a leak from the ceiling. It was pouring rain outside and I guess it started to spill into the store. I decided to call a staff member over immediately as to avoid anyone from falling and they came over abruptly. There's a large selection of items to choose from in general at BBB. I tend to purchase my holiday gifts here and any appliances for home decor. When you sign-up with your email, you get mailed 20% off coupons regularly so that's a nice touch although it doesn't take much off. Revisited the store a few days ago to purchase kitchenware as well and items are well stocked. The staff does a great job organizing things so they're pretty easy to find. I gave a solid 4 stars for a convenient location and store that provides pretty much everything a home needs but I'm a bit on the pickier side when it comes to choosing merchandise so they don't necessarily carry certain brands that I like. Let's admit it, it fun "playing house" and checking out the latest and greatest household items. This has been one of the go-to places when a person has a new dorm, a new marriage or a new house. A place to shop and dream about how you want to start life or rearrange it. There are varying price points, from mid-range to high price for item. After all, this is the place where you can get a $200 trash can for the kitchen. Last time, I was here I checked out the clearance section and saw an item or two, to update my bedroom curtain for heavier ones for winter. I hear this chain is experiencing hard time, so maybe they can really work on staying in the game. The news recently said that they will soon be closing some stores. Online stores are providing tough competition. It's nice to get a good price BUT it's also nice to see items in person before you buy them. Cheap isn't also best, the sweet spot is quality at a reasonable price. I'm rooting for this chain and this store to survive. My guess it that they might have some good items on sale soon. read more

I'm in heaven something that I love is candles & I really didn't know that BED BATH BEYOND. Had some many candles, scent candle wax, burners & room spray. It's a whole section of different smell good. I purchased Sand +Fog , Chesapeake bay & this new candle this called meditate. They all are so calming they'll are definitely great purchased. They are very mild they're not overly powerfu with fragrance I know sometimes candles are so strong when burning these aren't. And I purchased some room spray that's the same brand has the Sand +Fog scent. Some candles size was on sale also the lamps & shade was on sale that was totally off topic but I saw them because they was in the section with the candles. The best bed, bath, and beyond I have been too! They've got everything in this store! It is filled to the brim with all sorts of stuff without feeling overcrowded. We recently got married and moved to a new apartment, we came to this location often to get inspiration for our registry. We definitely got lots of things for our house here such as new pans, plates, decatur set, pillows,etc. I have yet to run across any issues with the staff. They always helpful with finding something, returns, and checking out is quick. Also this is a good place to go right after a season or holiday. I got a great tree skirt for my Christmas tree and a festive welcome mat for a great price. They do not sell out as fast as other places like Walmart or target. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM BED BATH AND BEYOND! THEY WILL SEND YOU THE WRONG ITEM AND CHARGE YOU $500 TO RETURN IT. I bought a double vanity on their app in November 2023. It was supposed to arrive within two weeks. I received no email receipt, only a tracking number that hit a 404 page not found error. Two weeks later, still no receipt, still not functional tracking number, and no news from Bed Bath & Beyond. Four weeks after I ordered, they finally called me to ask when was a good time to deliver the vanity. On receipt, I discovered that they had sent me the wrong item - a single vanity in place of a double vanity. When I called them to find a resolution, they denied that they had made a mistake - surprisingly enough, the next day the email receipt (which I had never received) appeared in my inbox, displaying the same single vanity they claim I had ordered. So despite a clear recognition that their online systems had messed up (between the missing email receipt that appeared two months later, the lack of a tracking number and the delayed delivery) they are unwilling to accept responsibility for delivering the wrong item. Their website says they have a 30-day return window, but what they don't tell you is that the return shipping could be over $500! Do not shop here. It is not worth the pain. read more

Always carry the coupons for BB&B that come in the mail in my car - they are accepted even when they're past their expiration date which is a great policy. Love this place for various home goods and travel supplies, even if it's always a madhouse. 11/21/21 There was a time I went to this Bed Bath &Beyond many times. I enjoyed getting my lotions here, but it wasn't until my girlfriend at the time bought me a Baltimore Ravens Throw Blanket to replace the blanket I had when I was a kid. This Baltimore Ravens throw blanket happened to be the Ravens's logo without the stupid football helmet on the blanket. I have seen other Baltimore Ravens merchandise sold at Bed Bath&Beyond and it was worth buying. When I went to the store this past, Sunday I did not see any Baltimore Ravens merchandise. I did see the place was busy, but saw nothing I need today. Still, one of the things that got my attention about Bed Bath&Beyond, is that this company takes their coupons and competitor's whether the coupon(s) expired or not. Genius move. I had already cancelled the subscription with Bed, Bath & Beyond last year. If there's a "glitch" in their system and if the reason why the customer service rep couldn't email me a confirmation of my cancellation is due to their process but assured me it was done, then it should not be put on the buyer. Bed, Bath & Beyond's response that multiple notifications were sent prior to the renewal is incorrect. I went into my yahoo account and searched all of the emails from Bed, Bath & Beyond and did not receive any notifications except for the only one sent to me on Monday 2/3/25 with the subject: Thank You for Your Bed Bath & Beyond Order (#######)! I do have a job and worked on Monday 2/3 and was not off work until Wednesday 2/5, which was when I was able to call Bed, Bath & Beyond's customer service number. Twice their customer service reps had promised me that a supervisor would call me back & twice no one called me. Bed, Bath & Beyond's response to my complaint with the BBB was a huge disappointment and extremely frustrating since this will definitely lead me to no longer shop at Bed, Bath & Beyond once I finish up the credit amount that is still in my account minus the charge for a membership that I already cancelled the auto-renewal last year! I have never experienced or heard anyone experience a lack of customer service from any large company like this. It's unbelievable that Bed, Bath & Beyond would not refund an unauthorized charge of $19.95 and not only lose a customer but will be getting bad reviews from me for every review website I'm aware of. Customer service satisfaction and integrity is everything to a business. Unfortunately, Bed, Bath & Beyond is majorly lacking of it. The policy clearly stated the gift cards never expired. I am cancelling my account with company and contacting my state representative about this unacceptable practice to consumers. WOW! I am so impressed with their outstanding customer service! I don't normally shop at the Rockville location but was in Rockville today at an appointment. I had a question about a sale item they had on display and the associates Sue and Donna immediately came over and assisted me as they were out of stock at this location. They were able to get me the product from another store on sale as well as letting me use my coupon and it will be delivered to my home in a matter of minutes! Everything you can think of for cooking, entertaining, staging, fixing and decorating your home can be found here as well as bed and bath items. In fact, if I were to guess, the selection of kitchen products easily rivals the bathroom products. I can always find some great candles, towels, dining sets and random odds and ends here. In fact, it's a sign you're getting old when you can increasingly find more and more of your Christmas gifts for your friends and family here. I also love that they have my favorite gourmet lollipops and other small food items. Oh, and not to mention an entire section that tops CVS' beauty and cosmetics selection. Although it was 5pm on Christmas Eve, they were able to check everyone out quickly and without 'tude. The guy that was working the register was singing (his version?) Christmas carols in the midst of the rush. It's imperative to stay focused here however. The BB&B is much bigger than the Chinatown location. Therefore, you are more likely to find exactly what you are looking for. I had seen a doormat made from recycled flip flops in their flyer during the summer. I went to the downtown store and they did not carry them. Since I don't come out to The Pike very often I kinda forgot about the mat. After dining at a great restaurant right in front of the store I suddenly remembered the mat. I'll start by saying the staff are really helpful. They don't just tell you were to find what you are looking for, they will stop what you are doing and take you there. There was my doormat! Plus, I was lucky enough to have my $5 off (a $15 purchase)coupon in my bag. The problem was, the doormat was $14.99. Should I look for something for $1.00 to buy? While I was pondering this thought a cashier came up to me and asked if I needed help. "Um, can I use this coupon to buy something that is $14.99?" "Sure," he said. Yay! This was a better day than I expected! A great meal that my friends treated me too and the recycled doormat to go on my recycled composite deck for only $10.00! This is a big BB&B location and has a wide range of items. But with size comes the craziness of navigating thru the aisles to find what you are looking for. As others have reported, the wide range of products also translates to limited choice for each category. Like for instance, I was looking for measuring spoons the other day. I have seen a particular set of measuring spoons at other BB&B stores in the area that I was unable to find at this location. Also, the parking at this shopping center is crazy - good luck trying to find a decent spot during busy shopping season! But the 20% coupons definitely help :) read more

Nice BBB and at a great location, right off of Rockville Pike. The parking lot is large, but drivers should mind the pedestrians who walk into the lot without looking to see where they are going. I purchased a cooling comfort pillow but after using it I did not feel it was comfortable at all. I returned it without any hassles. I've been shopping at this store for years but now I'm hesitant to go there. It's gotten so hard to pay for merchandise at this store it's almost not worth dealing with them anymore, even though they have great prices. Their constant long line to pay is ridiculous. Their cashiers spend a really long time with each customer, even when there are 15 people waiting in the line. This is a management issue with this store. I was in line recently and one of the cashiers said to a customer, "Since you're a senior citizen I want to make sure you get all your benefits, so tell me every phone number you've ever had and I'll look them all up." There were at least 12 people waiting in the line (including myself) when she said this. I know Bed Bath & Beyond is struggling so why would they put out signals that they don't want your money? That seems like the wrong message for any retailer to convey. read more

I love Bed Bath & Beyond! This is a good size store, pretty well stocked and one of the best return policies going today. There is no need to ever pay full price, there is always a coupon available. Sign up for text messages, emails, hit the website or even good old Sunday newspaper coupon sections before going to the store. You can use a 20% coupon on every item, most of the time on sale items, even clearance items. No reason to join the Beyond club to save 20%, just find a coupon. Order online and pick up in store is over hyped as the customer service line (where you pick up) is usually the longest line in the store. I will never stop shopping at Bed Bath & Beyond. TIP: Keep it to 10 items or less and use the express check out, for whatever reason it is often overlooked. read more

I went here for some wedding registering this weekend. Mind you we just came from Crate & Barrel in Tysons, which was a much better experience. Previously, I've only come here to buy one item at a time: a spatula here, a saucepan there. This is the first time I'd actually tried to track down multiple items in the store. It's hectic. Things are organized by sections which helps. But the store's shelves are packed, making browsing difficult. Kitchenware items are seemingly randomly tagged with the product's price, or a bundle that contains the product. Example: "pan A" has a tag for $25 for just the pan, "pan B" has a tag for $400 for an 8 piece set. Price lists are at the very top of the shelves on a sheet of text-only paper. Small things, but it gets annoying when you are trying to scan and compare a bunch of items. Also our "registry helper", or whatever her title is called, was too involved for my tastes. it seemed like she was trying to get us to register as many things as possible for the store's beneift, but not for our benefit. She walked with us for the first 15 minutes. she kept checking on us every 15 minutes after that. i wanted to browse leisurely and discuss things with the fiancee (like what we don't need and what is way overpriced - ahem $10+ measuring cups) without someone from the store looking over our back. If I was rating my previous one-item shopping experiences, it would get a higher rating, especially considering the amounts of 20% off coupons delivered to my house. Dealing with several items here however was a headache. I was glad to get out of the store. Barely 3 stars. EDIT: Oh yea, I don't know how I forgot this. This review is for the management at this store and how they go about handling things..also for the store's inconsistency in keeping placed orders online. I placed an order online and paid for it and received receipt of that order via email stating my order will be ready for store pickup in 2 hours. I get a text from my credit card company alerting me of the charge and showing that the money was deducted. I live almost an hour away from the store so I checked the order status again before leaving the house which stated it was ready and available in store for pickup. I drove 45min to the store and when I was outside I opened up the email to go about the method for curbside pickup only to see another email had just come through saying "Sorry your order has been cancelled." I drove away and called the store and manager Darren told me that it was cancelled probably because they no longer have that item in store (and in that case if its not in store..why would they allow me to successfully purchase an item online that is not even available-not my fault) Not only that but the ordering online process took a while of my time and I had to use a one time coupon to get the price paid. So Darren puts me on hold to go check if he has that item and comes back and says he has 2 in stock. I was already 20minutes heading back towards my house at this point..I stated out the huge inconvenience (2hours of my time wasted plus the time online trying to get the price with sale and coupon etc) Manager said not to worry about anything and that he will have it up front for me ready to pick up. I did not know what that meant but it sounded like he was apologizing and saying since it was one small item, just come pick it up on us for our mistake (item was under $10) I did not get a chance to come back that week since store is so far. I called in 2 weeks later and Susan (another manager) picks up the phone. I nicely ask Susan if she can just give me the name of the managers there. She replies "is there something I can help you with" I tell her again I just want the name of the managers for this store since Darren told me to ask for him directly when I come in which I thought was to make up for their online mistake and wasting my time and giving me the item I initially ordered. Susan goes on a couple more times to avoiding answering my question and keeps asking me if she can help me with something-not the greatest tone in her voice. She tells me we have a few managers..I then ask her if she can give me their names again. She then says well I don't know which manager you talked to..I then say well thats why I am asking you for all their names so I can remember which one since I only needed to hear his name to know who it was. After this back and forthness she puts Darren on the phone which happened to be who was 'helping' me with this the first time. He remembers our conversation and says i can replace order online or pickup. I thought he had item for me ready to pickup like sorry for the inconvenience but it turns out no one cared that I placed an order and drove an hour and spent a couple hours of my day thinking I was going to get an item I needed that day in which on the company's mistake my order was cancelled minutes before I am there for pick up for no reason whatsoever. Turns out Darren just tells me I can come to the store and buy the item. Here it is i thought he as a manager was extending customer service/care to a customer in hopes of not losing them due to their mistake. He showed no remorse for my time spent and the fact that it was their mistake. I found in this situation and in a few in the past that the management here does not handle customer issues properly. They lack customer care and making up for their mistakes. Offer me a discount or something for the inconvenience or just put a little more care in your voice and try to put yourself in the customers shoes-thats how you go about good customer service. You cannot send me an email stating my order is ready to pickup and when I get there send me one saying ..just kidding basically...we now cancelled your order for no apparent reason..and then management instead of apologizing for their mistake blames the system or says we probably have no inventory of it. Think about what you are saying...if you had no inventory then it would not show as available online and my order would not be placed and i would not have received an email saying your order is ready for pickup. And if it was an online website mistake..then apologize for that and do what you can to make the situation better--mostly by showing you care. I was nice when I called in about this the first time but discovered that the tone on the managements end lacked any kind of care for customer experience. They wasted alot of my timeand lost a long time customer. I was a customer service and customer relations manager for over 10years so yes, I know what good customer service is and this store lacks it. read more

BB&B was one of the stores I had selected for my wedding registry a few years ago, predominately for china and crystal, so I was very familiar with what they carry in this department. When I received my friends' shower party invite with her registry located at Macys, I took a drive down to Macys to print out her registry. Noticing she had registered for the Waterford Lismore pattern, the thought of BB&B's 20% coupons jumped to mind. Why pay $120 for two crystal wine glasses at Macys when you can save $24 per glass at BB&B? I learned that not every BB&B location has a crystal/china selection, but fortunately for me, this location in Rockville has a massive space dedicated to this. Waterford, Kate Spade, Lenox, Vera, etc.... Waiting til the last minute to pick up this gift, I ran into the store to compare what items on the Macy's registry were available at that location. While many items are available online, the actual store might be out of stock - so beware, if you need to pick up a gift at the last minute! Luckily, the goblets I wanted were in stock, and the sales girl offered to wrap the gift while I took the price tag sticker up to the front to pay for my purchase. $72 later (as opposed to $120)... I claimed my perfectly wrapped gift and headed out of town. The icing on this cake was the deep purple paper my gift was wrapped with matched my friends' wedding theme colors. Hmmmm, LOL. Don't even know where to begin. If you are registering for a wedding or stopping in to use the restroom, I recommend. BUT, if you really want to shop in here, be careful. The aisles are made for one lane midget traffic. There are always ppl knocking things over and just walking away like they didn't do it. Typical moco! One of the most spacious Bed Bath & Beyonds in the area, this location also scores points for being cleaner than most of the other BB&Bs in the DMV, great sales associates and managers, and fast-moving lines at the registers. Protip: Regardless of whether you need to head north or south after departing this BB&B, do not exit onto Rockville Pike! Unless you catch the traffic flow just right, there's a good chance that you'll either a) end up blocking a right-turn-only lane, or b) have to wait until there is a lull in the flow of southbound vehicles. Rather, turn left onto Congressional, where you'll have an easy access route to 355. read more

Great location and a very busy store. Employees are very polite and do the best they can. The store is well stocked, neat and organized. You'll find plenty of workers if you have a question, if you don't have one in front of you, take three steps to your right and open your eyes, voila! You're welcome! The back stock area is organized chaos but it's run like a well oiled machine! This location has exceptional people that are willing to bend over backwards for customers so If you need something, find someone and ask them for help. Here is my BIG secret, pay attention and you can get some huge savings at BB&B......... Save your BB&B coupons. If you buy 10 items you can use 10 coupons. You can use EXPIRED coupons and you can combined manufactures coupons. Now that is some savings!! BB&B rocks!! I love this place for savings and fun stuff.
