Great breakfast and even greater staff. They are very well known for helping with fundraising for locals. You will always see several locals at a lot of their tables. Finally got to visit the new location! We went on a Thursday at around 1:30 and the place was nearly full! So glad the local community is supporting this business!. My only "complaint " is that it was clear they had lots of staff working and still it took quite awhile for a server to take our order and same with getting our order. We were seated at a table right by the door with a clear view of the kitchen so from what we observed, the cook was working as fast as he could in spite of the plentiful wait staff. There's a number of reasons that could happen I.e. not enough kitchen staff, change of shift, etc. we weren't in a hurry so it wasn't a big issue for us but was still a longer wait than expected. We ordered a breakfast combo and fish and chips. Good sized portions for the price! I did, however, have to ask for my bacon to be all the way cooked . I can't eat bacon when there's large chunks that are pink and raw especially when I ask for extra crispy. The server fixed it right away so it was all good All in all this is one of those local, hometown places that we need more of! We will definitely be back . Listen, I've eaten a LOT of hamburgers all over this country, up and down both coasts, the midwest, the Deep South, you name it; but there isn't much that compares to their lunch special with an Avocado Swiss burger, fries, and a drink. The prices are super affordable, the hamburger isn't a greasy mess, the fries are crispy, and I know every time I get seated, that my meal is going to be great, whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Have been going there for years now. Can't beat the food for the price and good service anywhere else. The new place is amazing.

We were looking so forward to finally having breakfast at Becca's after hearing everyone rave about it. Nice new location, nice decor but we didn't get a chance to try the food. When we arrived we say the sign to wait to be seated. There were just two of us and we saw a couple smaller tables open. Food wasn't cooked right. Bacon tasted like it might have been meowing last night- disgusting. Paper thin and dipped in fake smoke. The fruit was old and slick like it had sat around. Especially since the honey dew had turned pink. Potatoes were under cooked. Potatoes were requested to be well done. They came out almost raw. Sent them back. Cook must have been upset. Potatoes came back like chips. Waitress never came back to see if we needed anything. Sausage was seriously burnt. Needed a new napkin because I had to spit the bacon out because it was so bad. Honestly I felt like I was in the middle of Kentucky or Oroville. Would never go back. 2 stars because the decor was cute. read more

Horrible experience with the patty Melt. They gave it to us literally almost RAW. We asked them for well done. We asked them to please cook it more, they gave it back and looked ok, bit into it and literally was still raw inside. They just threw it on the burner and got the outside cooked a little. Kitschy tiny place. About 10 tables- seats about 40ish. Place was packed- one server, still managed to get good, quick service! Ordered within a couple minutes of receiving coffee and food arrived in about 7 minutes hash browns served perfectly golden crispy and my eggs were cooked over medium as ordered.. which so many places find a challenge! Nice restaurant with owners and a staff that give it a "homely/family" feel. Lots of seating. Lots of memorabilia on display, giving off a nostalgic vibe, which was cool. On a few separate occasions, I had the "Becca" and "Marvin" burgers... named after the owners. Both were very good! On another occasion I had the meatloaf which I believe was a special. I opted for the BBQ sauce instead of gravy... glad I did. It was a homemade BBQ sauce, I believe it was blackberry??? but I'm not sure. All I know is... it was awesome! Tasty! When I go back, I'm eating something with that BBQ sauce... hopefully it wasn't seasonal. Reminds me of those old "mom & pop" restaurants that been a community staple for generations... Came here because of the great reviews. First thing the waitress tells us before seating us is breakfast was over at 2pm- honestly the only reason we stopped by this place. Ok we bite the bullet, We sit and order... everyone else around is ordering breakfast... I was able to read other reviews left by non-locals and yup... it's true... if you look different, dress different etc... they will treat you different, don't spend your hard earned money here... that's too bad we like to support local mom and pop restaurants. I hope the "good Christian" owners read this and have a good heart to heart with their staff it is absolutely unacceptable to treat people this way. read more

Driving through town with Yelp open, I didn't get too many choices when it came to a breakfast place around. But out of the handful of options we had to choose from I am glad we went to Beccas! Genuinely a place that the locals go, everyone seems to know each other and are their to lend a hand or an ear. Despite its small size we were able to get seated right away, given menus, and coffee. I ordered the 2 egg breakfast with sausage and cottage cheese instead of potatoes. Upgraded the toast to biscuits and gravy so that I could get a taste of my favorite thing. The sausage was sooo good! Really amazing! Eggs were cooked like I asked and the cottage cheese instead of potatoes was a fun option that most places don't offer- but I like that. Very homey. Overall a comfortable place that won't disappoint you if you are down for a basic home-style breakfast. If you eat meat...get the sausage links! read more

If you live in Anderson and you've never been out of your town, you may think this is the best place for breakfast. Now if you are from the city and you are just passing through, look different than the folks in Anderson, speak a different language, look different, or dress differently, you may feel the unwelcoming presence at this place. Was here with a few ladies for breakfast. There is a "good ol' boy" feel here so I understand what the others are writing. The food is good and came out for our group at a decent rate of speed. The waitress was busy and didn't offer any true stellar service. The stares by the locals and the cramped dining space was enough for us to never dine here again. It's unfortunate that in the 21st century, some humans are still holding onto prejudice and not opening their hearts to loving one another. We actually had some service retiree's in our group and wasn't offered a military discount. I guess you have to ask or, "look the part" for those discounts. Lastly, I agree with the bathroom situation being located in the kitchen. Definitely not sanitary. Would be nice to close down for a month and get some locals to help reposition the bathroom and help this business out. More training on serving all walks of humans....come to New York or Miami and go to a diner. read more

Wow! This is a must stop when traveling Hwy 5! Service was great, but food was even better. There were 3 of us with full breakfasts and coffee. Biscuits and gravy were delicious, and the beacon was cooked to perfection. Crispy is not wiggling and not burnt. Service was quick and efficient, and food arrived hot. I found this place working in the Redding area. Wow I love how this is just a hole in the wall with fantastic food and even better prices. The staff are very nice and everything came out really fast. The sitting area is small, bit really fun with all thr nick nacks on the walls. Oh they have homemade sourdough toast and holy moly it's good. I managed to get in here to try the lunch specials. They're actually served anytime if you like, just ask. The place was still crowded with locals from the breakfast crowd at 10:30 even. When it's crowded here, service is a little slower, but they do get to you as fast as they can. They seem to know most everyone that comes in here by name. I think normal lunch time is less crowded than breakfast. Looking at the lunch specials they have a bunch of things for $6.00 and some fancier burgers for $7.50. I went with just the regular burger to see how it was. Served with fries, not a bad deal. The portions were OK, not overly generous on the fries, but nothing to complain about. The burger looks to be a 1/3 lb. patty served on a burger bun with lettuce, tomato and raw onion. I think there was mayo in it too. The whole taste of the burger worked well with this combo and size meat. Like a Double Double at In N Out, it was more of a total burger experience taste mixing with the condiments and size meat, rather than a more meat dominated burger where the star is the 1/2 lb. charbroiled patty. Here the patty is on a flat top grill I think. The fries were crinkle cut and standard. I'd say it was a good deal for the price, but I try next time to arrive when it's not so crowded. Early specials are on offer for breakfast if you get here I think before 8am. read more

In Anderson for a few days. We asked some locals to recommend a good place to eat. Becca's came highly recommended. We arrived just before noon. We were cognizant the place would be closing in an hour. However, to our relief the restaurant was emptying out. We thought we could be served in a timely fashion, and still be able to eat in time for the place to close. We were seated at a table in the back corner. The take out service was moving briskly. It took some time for our server to get one coffee on the table for my wife. My boys and I had water. We ordered off the menu. Then, we waited. And, we waited... And we waited some more. The server came out several times and seated others. Still, we waited. Not once did the server make eye contact with us. We felt unwelcome, Or at least ignored. 45 minutes lapsed. It was a quarter to one. We had places to be. I pulled ten dollars out of my wallet. I placed it on the table to pay for the cup of coffee. We stood up and we left. We left the ten dollars so as not to be accused of leaving on a check. Then again, in the absence of our order being brought to the table... What did it matter? Our fear was, that when the order showed up, the check would have been immediately brought to the able, as our presence would have delayed the staff from leaving. You get the drill; The refilling of ketchup bottles, the refilling of the salt and pepper. The restocking of the jelly on the table, all while the stragglers are trying to eat... I know these things, having been in the food service business for years. As I got into my car, the server came out. "Your food is on the table!" I shouted back; "No thank you! You had 45 minutes to get our order out. It didn't matter to you then. What's it matter now?" I continued; "I left ten dollars on the table for the cup of coffee and the rental of the table space. Thank you!" We drove off... Some of the Yelp reviews warned this place can be a "Hit or Miss". It was a miss. read more
